Pros

I love the ability to review and approved remotely. I appreciate the emailing of receipts and then being able to easily select them for each expense.
It is one of the easy to use software and super user friendly. I would recommend this software to anyone trying to have time and money on Travel and expense management.
I like the ease of filling out each section without assistance. The best part is changing currency rates without having to do the math yourself.

Pros

They have a good, competitive product at a competitive price, and it is worth your time.
MT has been a great asset to our community. Overall, I would recommend this product to any company for their AP.
I am using MineralTree for a second company if that tells you anything. It seamlessly integrates, the customer support is fantastic, and built-in controls make my audits a breeze.

Cons

My app often freezes out and says "analyzing" for days. I worry my receipt image will be lost.
When you do have to enter information, it is PAINFUL. The interface looks old and messy, and adding images and receipts is a unnecessarily difficult process due to bad thumbnails and image viewing.
I find it a bit confusing to use. Maybe it's because the way it is configured in my company, but it is too much information in one visual that you might get lost when selecting the proper option.

Cons

No company should be cutting physical checks, worry about signatures, paper documents, chasing people for approvals etc.
There are a lot of things that go wrong. These issues range from constant issues with synching with Quickbooks to our payee's receiving emails we have asked that they not receive.
If you have recently made changes in your Intacct account check to see when the most recent sync was. If Intacct has not yet synced to Mineral Tree the GL balance you are viewing may be wrong.

1. It took forever to onboard. Their employees are not well trained. Sales was not well-trained, as they constantly misrepresented features and pricing. Onboard personnel were not well trained and did not properly project manage getting us on their complex software. 2. Their whole onboard process is designed not for successful implementation, but just to cover their a**. 3. They make you pay for 90 days after a termination request, which tells me they get a ton of termination requests.

Pros

Not really anything. They promised a lot but didn't deliver on any of it.

Cons

1. They constantly misrepresented what features were included in pricing. 2. After misrepresenting that, they then tried to do hard-sells on us to get us to "upgrade" - having to pay more to get features they had previous claimed were included. 3. The accuracy of the OCR and invoice capture is terrible. We had one invoice for $850 get posted as $13,000, and that kind of mistake was common.

Concur Invoice Review

Prior to use of Concur Invoice, we were using a manual process for invoice approval . This led to several issues with workflow, appropriate approvals, reporting etc. The Concur Invoice solution has allowed us to streamline all of this and provides us a simple to manage solution that consolidates all of these processes with the right level of controls and reporting.

Pros

We implemented Concur Invoice a little over a year ago to streamline the invoice approval process. Favorite aspect of the tool is the workflow management for approvals as well as the reporting functionality to see department level expenses.

Cons

There is little, if any, negative feedback on the tool. It has helped us streamline the invoice approval and recording process significantly.

Having the full visibility to the entire invoice process for an organization--i.e. being able to see where any given invoice is in any process--can be extremely helpful.

Cons

Do not expect to be fully trained on the ins and outs of Invoice going into it--plan for overtime, or additional staff, to ensure that your implementation goes smoothly.

Pros

The mobile app, e-receipts (no longer have to take a picture of a receipt for anything travel related), just sent directly from the vendor to my profile. 24/7 customer service, connects directly with our ERP, a consultant to walk you through setup and configure the solution to your processes. Negotiated travel rates that you can't find online. Concur also process vendor invoices.

Cons

The procurement piece of the invoice tool is a little light, but is definitely sufficient for creating purchase requests / purchase orders. It also has the ability to match PO's, Invoices, & Receipt data. Overall the invoice process is great.

Concur Invoice lacks in many areas which caused us to terminate this part of their solution.

Using Concur Expense has been great while Concur Invoice was not the value or ease of use we hoped for.

Pros

I liked the idea of having Concur pay our accounts payable and having the integration capability of tieing it into our ERP. Our businesses experience with implementing this product was less than stellar but since we already used Concur Travel and Expense there was hope that it would be just as amazing.

Cons

We found that its ease of use was not what we had envisioned. After doing a cost analysis we found that we were spending more time to process accounts payable at a higher cost then what we were doing previously. The value was just not there for us.

Expense reimbursement in just few steps!

It is always for the users who are constantly travelling and freelancers. Expense reporting and invoice generation is a good feature

Pros

The expense reimbursement is very easy using Concur and the users has the visibility of the flow. They can track down the progress. Using concur you can upload receipt by clicking the snap and uploading it through phone which cut down the stress of managing the receipt hard copies. It easy to use and very quick turnaround process for approval and reimbursements.

Cons

The speed is slow at time which end up the submission late on deadlines. I also find the support not that helpful when needed

Exception reporting is missing - too many manual steps

Too slow to get reporting and errors corrected - the savings in the software versus alternatives is not worth the money spent to handle the process

Pros

Integrated into CRM already so work flow is same up to invoice approval - it's not a 3rd party software being integrated, but another SAP application.

Cons

The integration is not good - too many errors or type mis-matches. If you rely on the 3rd party input team to convert Invoices, expect a high rate of errors which will cause double work for team. SAP-Concur feels like it should be a 3rd party application.

Pros

I like the ease of use and I like that it keeps a history of your travels. I like that it gives me an interface to save all of my receipts for travel and enables managers access to approve company travel expenses.

Cons

I wish that you could pay fro reservations through Concur. I would like the ability to pay for car rentals directly through concur.

We use it at work daily and it's a great place to keep all invoices. I just wished it can easily be matched or grouped to final products for reference.

Pros

Used it several times and it was so simple to use and have everything available to you on your fingertips for approval. You can edit and keep track of informatio.

Cons

No invoice tracking, difficult to match invoices with purchase orders. A lot of improvements can be made to the product. It is a resourceful software, just needs more.

It is simple to user after training. Expense Pay is awesome and quick.

Cons

I use this app for my company to get reimbursed. I think the service is a must-need for all companies to get appropriate approvals for reimbursement, and it does provide a "professional" layout for users.

Cons

I don't like how there are too many steps to go through in order to complete an invoice request. I wish they would dumb down the steps a bit.

Concur was a very frustrating experience when it cmae down to reporting my expenses after conferences and sometimes did not go through properly and at times would have to start back over, waitng extra pay periods to get my money refunded on my pay checks.

Pros

This product seems very innovative and futuristice looking with its platform.

Cons

This sofware was very complicated to use. It took me a while to figure out how to properly expense reports. It was confusing with the options that it had.

It has been great to keep organized with my monthly transactions and adding photos of invoices is simple. Adding different employees to expenses helps to easily make it known who was involved with the transaction. It is also easy to submit the reports for approval or send a report back to the user, when needed.

Pros

This product makes it easy for me to track my monthly corporate credit card transactions. I can easily add a photo of the invoice and select a reason for the transaction.

Cons

It would be great if more of the fields I regularly select were saved. I have to enter the business reason for each transaction when it is typically the same.

It's proven to be a great expense platform for our mid-sized company. It allows me to easily input my invoice into the system. It's reduced any complexity and gives me a full picture view of my company travel and expenses.

Pros

Travel booking is made easy with SAP Concur. It's made it easy for me to book company travel as well as manage my expenses and track business spending.

Cons

The invoice purchasing and processing could be more intuitive. It's let my team down in the past. There's sometimes a lag time as well.

Set up was lengthy, but customer support was very good. In the end it was not worth the expense. The syncing process did not save us any time, so it ended up not being worth it to keep the product.

Pros

We liked the transparency this program provided to us in being able to see where invoices were in the review process between departments. It gave us good reporting and control over the invoice approval process.

Cons

It is expensive for a small business, and syncing the program with our accounting system was a cumbersome process, both in the initial set up and each time that we had to sync to transfer data.

I love the ease of being able to extract the sales tax from expenses within concur. I like vendors can enter their own request into concur and we can approve them electronically.

I wish concur had the ability to acknowledge if a invoice is eligible to be taxable income or not. We have security officers send their invoices through concur and that would be helpful.

Not Really Automated AP

Horrible. We told the product would work for our needs and we specifically asked prior to using the product that terms discounts would be easily handled. That was a complete lie. We specifically asked if it could handle multiple discounts for one vendor as we have several terms for just one vendor depending on the purchase. We were told it could handle multiple terms, which in fact it can not. It does not even calculate terms. We asked a lot of questions and our concerns were met with positivity that the product would work for our needs. Not so much. This is a huge deal breaker.

Pros

Implementation was helpful and support was good, but the fixes from support were typically, "oh you will have to use this work around", or "no we can handle that".

Cons

Too many limitations and the work arounds make it not an "automated AP processing". Has several limitation when it comes to the following items: Terms discounts, can not compute. Limit in invoice number extraction = 11 so we have several invoices where the invoice number was short by at least 1 digit and that is a problem when it comes to paying those vendors outside of Concur., since the vendor...

Concur Expense has saved our company time and money

Time savings; cost savings, especially in airfare and hotel bookings; employee compliance

Pros

Concur is easy to use; for those employees who use our corporate AMEX card and the travel booking within Concur, the expense report practically writes itself. I love the reporting features, and I am able to bring all the transactions into our data base each month to keep our expenses up to date.

Cons

The response time from the billing department; we had a billing issue on an invoice and it is taking an inordinate amount of time for a response.

Our company switched from Concur to MineralTree and this system has been a life saver. With the connector between the system and QuickBooks Online my month end process is simple now and has saved me several business days during close. You can do the math to see the monthly and then yearly savings. The image capture feature is a huge help as well when it comes to audits. Do yourself a favor and at least give them a shot.

Pros

The customer service experience is top notch, the image capture system is above and beyond, and the automatically filled out invoicing information again saves time on every invoice.

Cons

Nothing I can even think of.
