Pros

I love the ability to review and approved remotely. I appreciate the emailing of receipts and then being able to easily select them for each expense.
It is one of the easy to use software and super user friendly. I would recommend this software to anyone trying to have time and money on Travel and expense management.
I like the ease of filling out each section without assistance. The best part is changing currency rates without having to do the math yourself.

Pros

It's a user friendly service with great customer care, wonderful service if u have a small business.
Fields to fill and perfectly links the data from one end like ap and AR to the bank reconciliation. Great reports on transactions for the month or period if interest.
We love that it helps us streamline efforts, is easy to use, and is easy to train others on. QuickBooks Online has definitely been one of the best technology pieces of our administration.

Cons

My app often freezes out and says "analyzing" for days. I worry my receipt image will be lost.
When you do have to enter information, it is PAINFUL. The interface looks old and messy, and adding images and receipts is a unnecessarily difficult process due to bad thumbnails and image viewing.
I find it a bit confusing to use. Maybe it's because the way it is configured in my company, but it is too much information in one visual that you might get lost when selecting the proper option.

Cons

This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable from the company that is supposed to have your books.
The problem is that doing your own taxes online becomes risky the more you have to account for.
Other than tracking my expenditures, the whole system is a pain. Error messages constantly received because "there's a message from your bank" bla bla bla.

Hate it. I would not recommend it for a small business and they lie over the phone.

Pros

Sales and support are on a completely different page. Multiple appointments were cancelled because of personal reasons on their end. Last minute cancellations would have been understandable with one person but it happened with multiple people. It took forever to onboard the software and when we tried to cancel they said we had been using it for too long. We only used it for a couple weeks because the on-boarding process took SO long.

Cons

I learned how great Quickbooks truly is. The customer service with Quickbooks might take a while but they pick up the phone and take the time to answer each question without making an appointment a week in advance.

Love and Love to Hate... Concur Expense

Trying to create order from chaos with your expense management process? Concur MAY be your solution. If you are looking to get a hold of your expense management process and have a very well structured idea of how to do it (i.e. you have a well-defined chart of accounts, have policies in place for expense reimbursement, and have an approval process) then Concur is your solution. However, it's a bit lacking for the company trying to create structure in this area, as it doesn't have sufficient documentation on the setup, what decisions need to be made, and the impact of those decisions. It took nearly a year to get all of that adequately set up, and ultimately we have a stronger platform for it, but the guidance to get there was very self-directed.

Pros

Syncs with corporate cards and allows for the team to easily manage their expenses.

Cons

Integration could be stronger, both to QuickBooks and the "Travel" component of their product, which is run through TripIt

Concur is designed for a large corporation that processes hundreds of expense reports monthly. It interfaces with Quickbooks, and is fairly easy for user.

Cons

Difficult to get proper support when issues arise. Wish that there was a way to call someone instead of issuing a help desk ticket and wait to see who/when a return reply would .

Pros

Concur is overall a very good program for tracking and managing travel/expenses. I like that it has the ability to directly plan travel and create an expense report for booked expenses without having to manually assemble those receipts. The mobile capabilities are great while on the road as well. Obviously the tie into SAP is a plus.

Cons

Sometimes, the online interface is a bit clunky, but good overall.

My overall experience has been positive. We recently switched to Quickbooks and the staff at Concur were very helpful in getting the integration process set up.

Pros

Concur is very user friendly, both from the expense side and the reporting side. It's very easy to submit receipts for reimbursements. The process to pull the information into Quickbooks is nearly seamless.

Cons

It's sometimes difficult to update account numbers.

SAP Concur is a great App - it is SUPER easy to upload receipts and to submit expense reports. Love it!

Cons

The online version though, is a COMPLETE different story. Its very outdated, hard to use and I'm not sure if this is just my company but the aspproval process is too long and takes forever.

If you need to setup up a Company employee expense tool quickly, Concur is the way to go. It's easy to set up and it comes with an app and website for creating expense reports.

Pros

Concur is easy to set up and integrate with Quickbooks. You are able to create the expense accounts that you want the user to see and then link them to the appropriate GL account in the backend.

Cons

We haven't found anything not to like with concur yet. I've used concur at my last 3 startups and all the employees enjoy the ease of using it.

changing from manual paper to an online system saves me so much time!

Pros

I like how you can connect other apps to the concur like expenseit (capture and reads receipt accurately to auto populate into concur). -Able to identify accidental multiple submissions. -quick approval=fast reimbursements! -has a mileage calculator and commonly frequented area saved on the maps

Cons

-adding attachments are kind of slow -kind of cumbersome to navigate when you first start -customer service wasn't that knowledgeable, troubleshooting should be faster.

I do not like using this software because it is difficult to use and I dread having to file my expense reports.

Pros

It allows me to file my travel expenses and reimbursement forms online.

Cons

This is probably due to my lack of experience in using the app, but I don't find it intuitive or easy to use. I use this app when I need to file travel expenses through my university and every time I need to use it, I have to be walked through how to use it by someone in the business office who is used to working with this software. I don't find the interface intuitive, easy to use, or even very nice looking.

Expense Reporting on the go

Pros

The app is easy to use if you want to input your expenses on the go-in the airport, at the table or while waiting for a meeting to start.

Cons

You need to be online to load your receipts. It would be nice to be able to do expense reports in the air.

Great Product

Pros

Great software for keeping track of expenses. Allows for instant cataloging of expenses while out. No receipts to keep. Easy to use.

Cons

The software did take a couple days to explore and get to know most of the options. A better online training would be helpful.

Great SW for Travel & expense tracking

Overall its a very satisfactory experience. Sometimes the online booking gets canceled. Not sure about the reason.

Pros

The ease of uploading receipts using the mobile app and keeping track of them. Also, the analyzing feature categorizes the expense.

Cons

The travel booking option. The booking instructions are not so clear and the book tab after approval is very small to identify,

Not a huge fan

I didn't really like it. Limited options and took a lot of time to get a reservation done.

Pros

I think the big draw for using it was the backend control that finance/accounting could have on travel purchases.

Cons

As a user, it was difficult to use. I could do searches online for flights, etc. and they wouldn't show up on Concur. Hard to navigate.

I like that i CAN do it from my phone or computer and i like the ability to add comments to each entry

Cons

I dont like the way you have to attach receipts online. its easier to do from the phone but on the computer ease of use is low

Performs basic functions but has some glitches

Pros

Web login and mobile app make it convenient. It's accessible to all our users and fairly easy to use.

Cons

Sometimes uploading receipts don't always go through so I need to download the picture of the receipt and upload it online which makes it a little cumbersome.

The app is so easy!

Our expense tracking was fairly rudimentary and manual prior to using Concur. In just the few years that I have been using the software, new features have been rolled out that our company has embraced. The feedback that I've received from our accounting teams is great. It is playing well with our other software systems. As stated above, I love the app!

Pros

My favorite part of this software is the companion mobile app. The desktop software is great but the mobile version utilizes what all smartphones have- a camera! The "ExpenseIt" feature is super easy to photograph your receipts and categorize expenses. It is relatively smart (ie; knows that food from restaurant X is probably a meal expense) and begins to learn your tendencies for category coding....

Cons

The desktop application takes some training as it's not entirely intuitive. We have hundreds of users, so we have dedicated training modules hosted in person or online.

Depends what device it's used on

I think the app is great, but i think they need to redo the online version to mirror the app

Pros

I really like using SAP Concur on my mobile phone app. It is easy to organize receipts, reports, travel, and expenses.

Cons

I do not like the online/computer version of Concur. It is not user friendly, it appears messy and confusing to operate. It's a very different display than the app

Quickbooks Online is a favorite of mine

Overall, I highly recommend Quickbooks online for small businesses and individuals. The software is easy to use and it provides great value for your money.

Pros

I love the ease of use and the fact that the software integrates well with Concur and Bill.com. It has made my work easy.

Cons

You can easily outgrow the software. You are limited to only 40 classes and that can be a headache.

Quick books - very good accounting software

My overall experience was very good since I was using it for an early stage Automotive MNC. Our auditors were located in UK and due to document upload feature they could access the documents remotely.

Pros

The software is very easy to install and use over different machines. It has some very good features like uploading of bank transaction, sales invoice generation and audit trails which I like the most.

Cons

The productivity seems to be an issue (though not very big). You need to use mouse to navigate through various options unlike other similar software E.g. SAP

It is extremely easy to use and it provides all the basic accounting functionalities and modules pertaining to a small to medium size business.

Pros

It is easy to use. The learning curve is almost negligible; it is definitely very easy to deploy; administrating it is certainly not a challenge; and It is. simple to learn as a user.

Cons

QuickBooks’ simplicity is one of its principal advantages, but it’s also its downfall: it feels too basic, especially when compared to packages such as Sage 50 or SAP.

for tax and accounting, still one of the best, but for other part of business it's still lacking.

Pros

for the tax and finance part, honestly haven't found much better counterpart online. you actually able to operate a whole business from quickbook

Cons

it's sync with accompanying software is unreliable. it's accompanying inventory software, sos inventory, is lacking in a lot of feature. a bit difficulty when dealing with multiple currencies, especially around export/ import transaction. for big supply chain, you should really look for specialized software/ platform like sap.

Disappointed with QB Online

I definitely would NOT recommend this product.

Pros

The only good thing I've found is that it's online therefore easily accessible to many people easily.

Cons

It's very difficult to use, not intuitive. I use help all the time just to try to find out how to do things. It isn't anything like the installed version. In fact, I was at a user group and one comment someone made, which I concur with, is the only thing it has in common with the installed version is the name.
