Pros

I love the ability to review and approved remotely. I appreciate the emailing of receipts and then being able to easily select them for each expense.
It is one of the easy to use software and super user friendly. I would recommend this software to anyone trying to have time and money on Travel and expense management.
I like the ease of filling out each section without assistance. The best part is changing currency rates without having to do the math yourself.

Pros

Square is an awesome piece of software to use. The retail side has great capabilities for sales, inventory, gift cards, rewards, and much much more.
Square is very simple to learn and use as an end user, and it has gain a lot of popularity recently, customers feel more and more comfortable with this system.
Easy and inexpensive way to take credit card payments for my small business. This provider is awesome, and helps my small business to easily accept cards.

Cons

My app often freezes out and says "analyzing" for days. I worry my receipt image will be lost.
When you do have to enter information, it is PAINFUL. The interface looks old and messy, and adding images and receipts is a unnecessarily difficult process due to bad thumbnails and image viewing.
I find it a bit confusing to use. Maybe it's because the way it is configured in my company, but it is too much information in one visual that you might get lost when selecting the proper option.

Cons

If I am to complain about something I would complain about the percentage I am giving back to square but that it the cost of doing business.
The only thing that has ever been slightly frustrating is the traditional card reader being sensitive when swiping cards. Sometimes I'll have to try 3-4 times to get it to register.
I dislike that it fails sometimes and it is not accessible at many different vendors and restaurants.

I was very disappointing with the disconnect between what was discussed during the sales call that made us choose SAP concur and what we were actually given. The implementation process was at an extremely slow pace and was given as a cookie cutter process that went over 90% of the functionality we didn't even plan to use and again had discussed during the sales call. This software has saved us a lot of time reviewing paper reports and matching up receipts., calling for lost receipts. It has cut down our time checking from 2 hours to about 30 min.

Pros

I like most that the sale team can snap a picture of the receipt with their phone and it goes right into the computer, so no lost or paper receipts to handle on the office side.

Cons

Sometimes it misreads the receipt; it happens on all expense software I'm sure.

Easy and fast to submit expense reports. Easy to store receipts.

Pros

It's easy to customize in the sense that you can add so many different codes/categories for expenses, as well as departments. I only use this software to submit expense reports so I cannot attest to how easy or valuable it is for our accounting department but we have used it for years with no complaints. Attaching receipts is also quite easy. Definitely recommend.

Cons

None that I can think of. The layout is a bit outdated, but not to the point that it affects anything.

I like how easy it is to build the expense report. You can choose all the receipts at once or pick and choose which receipt you want to add. It is also simple to upload receipts from the computer.The one time I needed assistance with customer service they got back to me quickly to answer my question.

Started out strong, but the company’s work quality and responsiveness have dropped the last few years. The new changes are getting to a point of being comically bad.

Pros

We selected this for the integration to company card, the ease of tracking, creating, and approving expenses. It has done all of those very well. It helped us out greatly as a small company trying to manage company cards for over half the company. The pricing model is small business friendly and helps it retain value for almost any business that has started with it.

Cons

Since SAP has purchased them the user experience has gone down hill and is starting to plummet. The latest update is due to be forced on users first quarter this year. It is terrible, not a single redeeming feature and a huge step backwards for user experience. It is very error prone, makes viewing and accessing information almost impossible, and is single handled the worst change I have been seen...

Gets the job done, but some confusing parts

Pros

Once a report/request is submitted, I don't have to worry about anything as it seems to move seamlessly through the approval process (at least from my point of view).

Cons

It can be a little hard to figure out how to use everything. In the department I work at, there is an administrative assistant who helps with everything related to Concur. Each time I have a question about an expense report, he says that it is so confusing to figure out that it would be easier for him to handle on his own rather than teaching me. The first time I created a travel request, I had to have an hour 1-on-1 tutorial with the administrative assistant just for them to show me how to fill everything out. It would also be nice if the help icons in SAP concur showed more useful information. When I am filling things out, sometimes hovering over the help icons does nothing to answer my question about what needs to go in that field.

I used the tool several times for the same purpose. The application has improved, which is another positive point.

Pros

What I liked the most when I used sap concur was the ease of requesting refunds at the company. as it has level of approvals, it is simple to organize as needed.

Cons

I haven't had the opportunity to test other features. So the suggestion is to make clearer what can be used, what can be used and for what purpose and if there is any kind of customization that can be done to suit smaller companies

Pros

Where do I even begin? I don't need to collect and save receipts anymore, I CAN JUST TAKE A PICTURE! As a middle manager, it's even easier to quickly review my employees expenses and approve of them digitally. The email prompts and updates are super helpful too. I could go on and on but seriously, I'm not sure I'll be able to work anywhere else if the company doesn't have Concur for expense reimbursements.

Cons

Can't think of any at this point! I also have no app comparisons though since we've been using the paper trail method since I've been at my company (6 years).

For enterprise organizations, Concur Expense is an excellent tool and platform.

Pros

Submitting expense reports on the platform was very intuitive and very easy. Organizing the expenses was simple as well and the admins were able to manage updates and expense items easily.

Cons

There were several times when a report got kicked back by an auditor without a specific note or reason why. It was a pain point in the early phases of using it.

Ups and downs. Not the perfect experience for all, but end of the day not many enjoy filling in expenses...and Concur does not help to make it any easier.

Pros

Most of us in the business world at some point have to deal with expense reports. The Concur used to be a really cool and fresh application. It does try to cover various seriousness for different type of customers and it does that quite well.

Cons

Since been acquired by SAP the quality is not quite the same. We've used it for a while and since then decided to switch to something more simple and straight forward.

Easy to use software for all expense related matters

From a user point of view, I can see why SAP Concur is one of the top claim solutions out there. It is extremely easy to use once you get the hang of it, and the mobile app actually helps a lot in tracking receipts especially if you travel a lot and might misplace receipts.

Pros

SAP Concur is well integrated with other transportation applications such as Uber / Grab which makes submitting claims that much easier. Concur has a clean finish and there were serious thought that was put into the UI, compared to some of the other SAP CRM modules out there. Concur has prefilled exchange rates which is linked directly with the exchange rate of the day for more accuracy.

Cons

There is too many fields to fill when submitting one line item of claim. The previous expense claim solution we had took much shorter time to fill up and submit. Attaching more than one documents is also difficult as you would have to continously save and upload again to append to previous documents.

In the tool we can create expenses, attach receipts, can get the entire audit trail, approval flows, can modify claims. Can track each and every activity at any given point of time. Duo Duplicate entry being allowed against single claims .

Cons

Not many features are available, cant add new expense category on our own, Only way to login is SSO, direct login doesn't work, takes time to load pages. can only use inbuilt features and cant add anything new. So many inputs to be entered for repetitive tasks, there must be able to create smae task for multiple dates to simplify the ease of use.

Test driving this product allowed me to think of ways we could work smarter and not harder, especially when reporting out of pocket expenses. Overall, it was a great learning experience,

Pros

My trial evaluation of Concur allowed e to test drive a very robust program that integrates well with our accounting software a well as our travel portal. It was very easy to figure out once I watched some of the training videos. The price point is fair for all it has to offer.

Cons

It is an excellent program...however it was "too much" for what we need. There are no negative comments and I would highly recommend for mid-size to larger companies

Easily the best program out there

Benefits of paperless expense reports is not only environmentally friendly, but the way to keep up in a busy never-sleep world of business.

Pros

Great program. You are able to upload receipts and even use your mobile for pictures and logging trips/expenses and even meals while travelling. The best feature of this is the mileage calculator. If you are like me, you travel for work. All you simply do is enter your starting point, and end point, and it does the rest! You can select one way trips or round trips, and the mileage gets calculated automatically. Reporting out of the software is great as well, and breaks everything down perfectly for those days in audit. Must have for any professional whom wishes to avoid paper expense reports!

Cons

I couldn't find anything I did not like with this software. I have used many before but hands-down this is the crème de la crème. I wish more companies used this program, it's easy, accurate and gets the job done in little time.

All inclusive expense system

Pros

This software is very easy to use once it is setup with all the validation rules necessary to work with your Accounting system. It took us a while to get all the rules correct and properly tested, but once they were setup and working we have had very minor issues. We like that we can bundle the Travel with the Expense component to get discounts from our Travel vendors. The users like using the mobile app to upload their expense receipts. It is very easy to use the interface both as a user and administrator.

Cons

Concur gives you a point of contact that helps customize your software. It was difficult to get all the requirements that we needed for our validation rules, but once we were able to get those configured it worked really well.

The Features You Need, But Needs a Refresh

Pros

It works for travel booking, expenses, etc. The mobile app works fairly well and they seem to be investing in improvements.

Cons

The website is a bit old and clunky. It really needs a refresh to bring it into the 2010s...(or 2020s at this point).

Great for Expense Management

Expense management and reporting Receipt capture Mobile capture and entry of a receipt and for that matter of an entire expense report. Easily track down previous expense reports to guide in replicating parts for the current report. Setting up your travel profile information in great detail to help our corporate travel agency be better equipped to align your booked travel plans with your preferences.

Pros

The ease by which you can associate receipt images to the reported expense. Splitting up expense across project billing codes. Point and click to direct the expense report to the appropriate approver.

Cons

Finding the names of other employees to add to a group event. Calculating gas mileage surrounding the use of a personal car for business purposes. The Links menu appears to include some out of date options.

Pros

The only thing I really like is the customer service. At this point, I don't even bother to report my expenses on my own, I call and the customer support walks me through it.

Cons

Hard to work the app. Uploading receipts is tricky and there are features like not being able to zoom in, can't add to existing reports. I hate the app. Better on the desktop but still not user friendly for a non-tech savvy person like myself. Would rather call and have a real person take care of it for me.

Significantly Reduced Company's Risks

Overall, the system is great for what we wanted to do (made the whole payments process more streamlined, reduces risks, provides audit trail, etc.) and at a great price point with great support!

Pros

Relatively simple to set-up (incl. expense accounts, users, ACH, etc.). The implementation team on SAP Concur was great and made sure we have the functions we need and provided guidance/training to make sure we know how the system works. Excel integration to our accounting platform, Xero, is relatively easy to manage/process. I haven't looked into the XERO-SAP Connector app, but will do so in the...

Cons

The application does not allow payments in foreign currency. I was directed to their partner, PaymentsHub, for this, but as of now, I'm still trying to get that system set-up because of issues with the bank.

Concur Expense

Pros

I use Concur expense for all my travel expenses. I submit everything from hotel stays to food purchases. I love that the app is so user friendly and I can take a photo of receipts on my phone to upload to Concur making it so I don't have to save them. This makes traveling much easier and my company likes that I always can provide receipts.

Cons

Itemizing for hotel stays was challenging for me at first but now that I had our expense department show me how to do it I don't feel it's that complicated. That being said, from a novice point of view it is a bit confusing.
