Overall, the system is great for what we wanted to do (made the whole payments process more streamlined, reduces risks, provides audit trail, etc.) and at a great price point with great support!

Pros

Relatively simple to set-up (incl. expense accounts, users, ACH, etc.).

Cons

The application does not allow payments in foreign currency. I was directed to their partner, PaymentsHub, for this, but as of now, I'm still trying to get that system set-up because of issues with the bank.

Helpful when everything automates

This is a robust travel and expense management program that is mostly seamless, and I love the mobile app.

Pros

I like that it integrates with Uber and Lyft to help log those travel expenses, and that I can book travel for work directly through the system.

Cons

Sometimes when I book a hotel or flight through the system, I find it impossible to locate that travel receipt and move it to the correct expense report.

Pros

Concur is easy to use; for those employees who use our corporate AMEX card and the travel booking within Concur, the expense report practically writes itself.

Cons

The response time from the billing department; we had a billing issue on an invoice and it is taking an inordinate amount of time for a response.

Has all the functionality, but it's clunky

Pretty good. It definitely gets the job done, and allows me to submit and manage expenses well.

Pros

Tax rules, approvals, mobile receipt uploads, receipt analysis, multiple currencies, etc.

Cons

And I think they charge per expense report.

This is a good, but not great, solution for expense management and trabel arrangements.

Pros

It is easy to use and submit expense reports for auditing. Most of the various tools and trip planners are good, but might be just as good as online travel sites.

Cons

THe expense reporting is not intuitive and can result in errant reporting and rejected expenses.

In the end it was not worth the expense. The syncing process did not save us any time, so it ended up not being worth it to keep the product.

Pros

We liked the transparency this program provided to us in being able to see where invoices were in the review process between departments.

Cons

It is expensive for a small business, and syncing the program with our accounting system was a cumbersome process, both in the initial set up and each time that we had to sync to transfer data.

The data entry, expense management, reporting, and user-feel has been fantastic.

Pros

As an administrator of our expense solution I generally will tell our end users that if you think it can do something, it probably can!

Cons

Granted the 3rd party audit service is a bit of a burden at times, it seems that they have significant and regular turnover, that counts as an add-on in my opinion and shouldn't be held against the tool in general.

Now, it can happen in real time, and it's much easier to process the reports and submit payment quickly.

Pros

It's easy to take pictures of receipts, or even link your purchases to your Concur account to log automatically. When I use Lyft for work, for example, I use my "business account" to book the trip, and the receipt and trip log automatically in Concur.

Cons

The travel booking is a bit clunky, and doesn't allow for integration of certain rewards programs, like Hotels.com.

Concur is the best product to handle expenses and its API documentation help developer to integrate and all the documentation is available free of cost

Pros

Also its integration web api provides maximum information of the software so that developer can integrate with other softwares.

Cons

Some of the data is not exposed by API this create lots of work for developer and to get that data we have to call multiple services as per our requirement.

Automates the travel and expenses process by importing many of the necessary data to file a claim for travel expenses, credit cards and electronic receipts.

Pros

The Concur solution does this, of course, but also improves the visibility of expenses, while ensuring compliance with the latest VAX and tax regulations of the SAP.

It ties into AMEX and you can use it for so many features to clean up excel expense reports and other time consuming tasks.

Cons

It exports to CSV files and I really prefer a proper integration to accounting softwares which is why I went with Nexonia.

Concur has the potential to be a great product, thus far, it has fell short of my expectations

Accounts payable, expense reporting, Travel booking and now Purchase Requisitions.

Pros

We use Expense, Invoicing, the travel booking program, and am implementing PO's now.

Cons

Hard to describe what I like least because there are so many things, compared to other programs, that I dislike. Though I am super disappointed after one year, with the Travel implementation, I think overall, what I am most disappointed with is the inability for Concur to know their own product enough to be able to support it. I say this because it's taken me about 6 months of prodding and research to finally get to a person within Concur to help my company implement Concur PO's. I was told that Concur can't do Blanket PO's and I just kept asking and prodding until I got to a person who actually knew that part of the system well enough to help me build a business case to implement Concur PO's. Thats just one example though overall, I find that customer support is geared to only answer obvious questions. They respond to specific questions by sending 34 page documents for me to read through in order to try and glean my own answer.

Pros

The advent of automated expense reporting is one of the biggest boons to productivity.

Cons

Occasionally the smart scan fails, which means you have to go back in and re-enter in the receipt data. So for more complex receipts this may not work properly.
