This has saved us time and money in the expense reporting process.

Pros

Easily adaptable for the specifics of our company. Highly responsive customer support. Intuitive application for staff to use. The Receipt Wallet makes capturing expenses the easiest part of my job! In researching a solution for our expense reporting, I am extremely satisfied that I chose ExpensePoint. It was the only application I found that incorporates everything I was looking for: high level reporting, automation, approval pathways, and ease of use for staff.

Learning to use Expense Point

Once I reached out to get some training/assistance, the light bulb went on. I feel I can now have more accurate reports from staff, and we can all become more productive rather than spending time on clumsy expense reports.

Pros

Since I have started using Expense Point for staff , my processes have become easier. With the credit card integration, staff members will be less likely to overlook submitting an expense. My customer service representative is VERY helpful.

Cons

It is not really intuitive in learning some parts of the program. After some training, it becomes easier, but the training is necessary to use it to it's capability.

Best expense software I have used

Expense reports are not fun for anyone or any department but they are necessary. ExpensePoint makes them user-friendly and the admin features allow you to add rules which give users guidance or reminders of policies as they build reports.

Pros

The app makes on-the-go reports very easy to build. You can snap a pic of the receipt/paperwork and not worry about keeping track of them while traveling.

Cons

If you do not use the standard GL account structure, you may not be able to map the exported reports to your system. This creates more hands-on work or creative workarounds.

Easy Deployment Ever

We have moved our global expenses over to ExpensePoint at the beginning of the year. It has been a nice and easy transition, and the team at ExpensePoint has been extremely helpful throughout the entire process, and made it very easy and painless. We've had a few challenges with handling multiple currencies on a world-wide basis but nothing major and all of our inquiries have been handled promptly. The online training has been great and they have been very flexible about arranging training sessions for people in Australia, Europe, Asia and North America - always a challenge at the best of times! Would highly recommend it to anyone considering a move to ExpensePoint!

The best Expense Management System you will find!

If you are looking for an excellent online expense management system, your search can now stop. ExpensePoint Web is hands down the best system out there. We looked at several other systems, and even got through the installation stage with another system, only to discover management reporting could not be done. When I found ExpensePoint I was skeptical they could do all they claimed to, but was soon put at ease. The staff at ExpensePoint is very creative in helping to figure out solutions for unique issues. They are responsive to calls and questions. They offered excellent suggestions for implementation which helped ensure a successful transition. Several features we said we would like to see have shown up in product updates. Most of our users have found it very intuitive and easy to figure out. Don't be a "wish I had". Contact ExpensePoint and you'll be a "glad I did"!

Pros

Cost, webinars, customization capabilities, creativity of the staff to help meet unique needs, the responsiveness of the staff, ease of use, training videos, cost (I know I already said that, but it's important. I looked at several web based expense management systems and this was by far the best and the fact it was the least expensive was a bonus!)

Cons

I can't think of any, other than supervisors forgetting to log in and approve expense reports. But that's our process problem we are trying to resolve.

Trying to run an expense analysis on companies, expense types, people, etc. and it is helping me a great deal!

Pros

It is an integrated software that allows you to run analysis without extracting the raw data and working with that outside of the software.

Cons

The inability to amend reports in analysis manager or to build one that suit your needs.

Great Expense Management Software

The set-up and implementation of the software was easy and smooth. Due to its easy functionality and features, our users don't have the hard time to get familiar with the software. And I have to thank Theresa who has been very helpful and quick to respond, even though we had a great time difference.

Pros

Easy to use, its features and functionality, and not to mention their great customer service support.

Cons

Nothing on its features and functionality, however with the new update the app keeps on crashing and its getting tiresome to some of our users.

Limited to no automated reporting functionality (e.g. automated weekly email reports of expense activity, weekly reminder emails of pending expense items). Limited number of fields read by Receipt Reader (currently only 3)

Pros

It's easy. I can quickly and efficiently report receipts and prepare almost immediately send them off to our accountant. It's quick, easy, affordable, and it our accountant love it.

ExpensePoint has been a pleasure to work with.

Pros

Our company uses this software in both the United States and Canada and favor the accountability that ExpensePoint provides for both the employee and management.

Cons

We went into the exercise of setting this software up expecting that it would take less time to plan than it actually did. We were very pleased with the help that we received from customer service as she addressed each issue with clear explanations as we made the transition.

Customer Service and Technical Training at its B E S T ! ! !

Pros

The software itself has an easy-to-use desktop and mobile interface. You can use the software via web or download the desktop app for quick access. My company's application was slightly different from common use and the team at ExpensePoint quickly assessed the need and manipulated the program to best fit. Not only that, they continuously trained us on using the program AND were quick to troubleshoot anything that did quite work with the manipulated features.

Cons

Unfortunately, it is a stretch to find a con, but as a team we agreed that being logged out after 5 to 10 mins of no activity.

It would be helpful to have a step by step guide for how to fill out an expense report. The videos and training happen too fast and then we are left with questions after the training. Would be helpful to have the training happen with clients live receipts. CSR has been very helpful.

Pros

Ease of submitting expenses that are outside of American Express.

Cons

The uploading of receipts to reconcile American express is cumbersome. It is difficult for Purchase orders that come in at different times, which are billed to AMX as they are received.. The receipt reader reads one total per receipt. So multiple copies of the same receipt are needed to reconcile the expense on one given order.

The software codes the expense and makes better use of my time elsewhere.

Pros

The ability to upload or drop receipts into the software. It makes it very easy for computer inexperienced personnel to use the software.

Cons

Trying to figure out the approval hierarchy was difficult, but I called my representative - she's awesome.

Overall, I have had no problems with it

Pros

I have no problems at all using the software....very easy to use

Cons

when you submit an expense and realize you need to recall it, you can't so you have to have it "declined" and a notice goes to the person of the expense and they get confused. Also, when it's declined, there isn't a reason as to why the expense was declined. It would be nice to have that addition.

Very great tool and great team

I get the expense report from the staff and visa reconciliation done a lot faster. People love the fact that they don,t lose their receipts anymore, which also helps save everyone a lot of time.

Pros

Very great and complete expense report tool. Wallet options, receipts readers, credit card integrations are all great tools that make save a lot of time. The app is very user friendly and straight-forward. Customer service and Professional services are very helpful and responsive.

Cons

Web-based software is a bit slow and could be more userfriendly and the process for recording expense reports in accounting would deserve some work

Expense Point Increased our Efficiency

Our litigation consultants travel constantly and they generate a lot of expense transactions that have to be identified by client project and type of expense. They love consulting and don't like spending time on administrative tasks like expense processing. Expense Point allows us to capture expenses quickly and accurately with minimal effort from our employees. New employees pick up Expense Point quickly. Since it is web-based, updates are hardly noticed and employees can process their expenses anytime from anywhere. Our accounting team is able to review and approve expenses and download expenses into our time and billing system very efficiently. Receipts are easily retrieved. EP's Customer Service was excellent during our initial set-up - knowledgable and easy to work with. On those few occasions over the past 4 years when we have experienced problems, Customer Support has quickly resolved the issue. Overall, we have been able to reduce the time it takes us to process reimbursable expenses and reduce errors from mis-coding using a reasonably priced application that our employees find easy to use. Good all around.

Very good product & great customer service

I was tasked with looking into Expense Point for our company because we'd been using the product for several years, but the original administrator had long left the company and no one else had really dived into it. I couldn't find any user manuals, but what I did find was a contact name'.Theresa Hicock. I called her and explained the situation. Immediately, she answered several of my preliminary questions and sent me both an end-user manual and an administrator manual. She allowed me a couple of days to read through the publications and then we set up a training/Q&A time. She has been fabulous! She has helped me to not only clean up outstanding expense reports, update our users, categories, coding, etc., but to also upgrade our system to receipts imaging. She also delivered a personal tour of best practices with the system, along with some video links for training. We are now making plans to train our users to utilize the mobile app and receipts imaging. I have past experience with other expense reporting tools, but the customer service I've received from Expense Point (and particularly Theresa), as well as the product itself, has far surpassed my expectations!

Wish I would have done this years ago!

I am so glad that I found ExpensePoint and implemented this solution for our expense reporting. Even for a small company the time savings and efficiencies are tremendous. The conversion and training process was very easy and my only problem is what to do with all the time we are saving!!

Pros

The ability to eliminate manual process and make it easier for capturing receipts and expenses for all users. It is a huge time saver to individual users as well as accounting staff.

Cons

I have not experienced anything at all that I don't like about the software.

I could not be happier!

I recomend this to all companies big and small. The ExpensePoint team goes the extra mile to bring you incredible service. In the past I have used other expense software and I have never seen such a pain free implementation process. My salesforce was able to do training from their pc's on recorded training and I did not loss and productivity. My accounting department is happy, and my employees are happy. Win win for me.

Pros

The features are exactly what I needed for my traveling workforce. I picked ExpensePoint because of it's ability to grow with the company and the knowledge that it is evoling to todays changing technology. My implementation not only got me started on creating that first report but gave me the knowledge to maintain the system on my own. When setting up the credit card transactions I was able to create the template in 15 minutes and import. My regular hour process of entering them is now gone and I can literally finish an expense report in minutes. The design of the system really does keep the end user in mind.

Cons

So far I have not found a single reason!

It is a very good software to work on and if there is any trouble the support office / agent are very helpful. I recently has some issues and the support agent was very patient and helpful.

I like the wallet receipt. It is nice to go paperless.

We are saving time across the board. From ease of use for team members to administrators. Accuracy of billing out of pocket costs to clients is a win for ICG and its clients. The staff at ExpensePoint has been there to help us out through the on-boarding process. The ExpensePoint team has made the transition as smooth as possible.

Pros

Easy for employees to get on board. Employees love getting reimbursed quickly via direct deposit. Employees also love not having to hang on to their receipts for reimbursement.

Cons

Setting up the back end of product to work with our existing accounting software.

Thank You So Much! Wonderful Tool!

We have moved from old style spreadsheet expense reporting to ExpensePoint and we are very happy. After much research and reviewing at least 10 other programs, ExpensePoint overall rated 5 out of 5 stars with great reviews. They are well established and, from what I found, are the leaders in expense reporting having been founded in the year 2000. You can expect affordable price, free implementation, free line support and free training (as many sessions as your company or staff needs). The features are extremely user friendly and best of all .the Customer Support is exceptional. Although we are a small company, there were many variances required in the initial set-up. The ExpensePoint support team always had a solution for each and every circumstance and helped me out each step of the way. They are always happy to assist and reply extremely promptly to any request or question. I have nothing but good things to say about ExpensePoint and about the support team at ExpensePoint. Thank you so much for all of your help and assistance. I would recommend ExpensePoint to anyone who is interested in streamlining their expense reporting and finding a great tool for expense analysis.
