Pros

It's a nice incentive to encourage cost savings for the company and really nice for employees if you aren't too particular about your lodgings.
The ease of use and functionality is great and it makes it easy to track where your reports are at and when it has been approved.
I really enjoy expensify and everything it encapsulates. It's easy, and quite frankly, effective and I recommend to everyone.

Pros

The payroll module is great. Overall I like the ease of the software and how straight forward it is.
My favorite feature is the ability to scan your own images on every type of entry, and the ability to create detailed organization accounts.
The ease of use and the robust customization to what is needed for your organization.

Cons

Our company have multiple entities in the US and in EU and expensify does not support this, the integration with xero is a mess i don't understand how does it work...My overall experience is bad.
Criminal billing practices. I barely used the software and they are charging me for a year subscription and won't let me cancel.
They violate their own privacy policy by sending out non-product related information to their customer base. This violates the agreement that they make you sign.

Cons

Also, sometimes you will get the message that an illegal action was performed, not sure why this happens. There was some major confusion during the start of the ACA reporting.
I was able to see which vendors were missing SSN before this last update, but that is not available any more.
Each time you select a cell to type in your hours, it skips back to the very beginning of the pay period and you have to scroll to where you previously where.

Easy corporate expensing

Very easy to use for corporate accounting. Makes it simple to track expenses and submit receipts to accounting.

Pros

Very easy to track and assign expenses to different projects/categories. Easy to upload receipts and add any relevant notes about charges. It learns your categorization patterns which makes it easier and easier each time you do it since it pre-saves the settings.

Cons

Linking my cards to Expensify was tricky and required some overriding by upper management. Also, it would be great to be able to apply one invoice to multiple transactions instead of uploading the same invoice multiple times.

I would stay far away from Expensify. The company has an annual subscription page under your profile which shows you a monthly cost of from $9/user/month. Key word there is the 'from'. If you are not using the Expensify card, they will bill you $36/user/month. Yes, the less services of theirs that you use, the more they will charge you for. They don't state this clearly anywhere and instead...

Good software but in the end we just use Xero

Good concept but I think decent accounting software would do the job just as well.

Pros

Expensify worked for our company and was good for gathering receipts and capturing photos. It did the job and worked for a sales team of 6 people. Much easier than processing the receipts manually, so saved a lot of HR man power.

Cons

Ultimately we went with Xero and haven't use Expensify since, as Xero is our accounting package. When we used it last year, there were also some page load issues and bugs which meant we lost confidence in the software.

Their customer service is some of the best I've ever seen. Any time we've had a problem (which wasn't often), they have always been very responsive and have resolved the issue quickly.

Cons

I do wish there were a few more features that could possibly integrate into our accounting software a little bit better.

We are able to keep our accounting books more up to date by using this program.

Pros

I like the ease of use and the ability to add receipts from anywhere. It helps to keep our records up to date and you can upload them from anywhere so less receipts are lost.

Cons

I don't like the difficulty to have multiple accounts at the same time. I wish you could add different company accounts to the same user to simplify the process across the board.

I love Expensify. Take photos of your receipts, categorise and the SmartScanning software reads it and enters the data for you. Very impressed!!

Cons

Expensify did not integrate with the Accounting software I use and I had issues with importing credit card data from my bank.

I love how easy it is to use this software. The ability to simply take a picture of a receipt and have it pull the necessary information is the best. In my experience when things are easy, people will do them. If things take time, people put off tasks like submitting their expenses.

Cons

I have no complaints as a user; however, I have been told that it doesn't always interface very well with other accounting software.

Possibility to associate to each expense, a photo of the invoice/receipt. Tou can get a monthly report of your expenses, and send to your accounting to get the refund.

I love Expensify!

Save tons of time for reviewing, approving and reimbursing to employees.

Pros

It saves employees a lot of time and hassle on doing the paper work including keeping the receipts. Employees only need to take a picture of the receipt and submit with their phone. It is easy and timely. If expenses are not submitted immediately, at least the scanned receipts are kept in Expensify for employees to submit anytime later. With the feature of the scanned receipts, no more keeping the stack of paper receipts!

Cons

Syncing Expensify with accounting software (Xero) in order to get a complete and updated customer list is not 100% there yet. A lot of times, we couldn't submit an expense marking billable because the customer is not available in the drop down window in Expensify. This requires accountants like us to do extra work in accounting software (Xero) to fix the entry.
