Pros

It's a nice incentive to encourage cost savings for the company and really nice for employees if you aren't too particular about your lodgings.
The ease of use and functionality is great and it makes it easy to track where your reports are at and when it has been approved.
I really enjoy expensify and everything it encapsulates. It's easy, and quite frankly, effective and I recommend to everyone.

Cons

Our company have multiple entities in the US and in EU and expensify does not support this, the integration with xero is a mess i don't understand how does it work...My overall experience is bad.
Criminal billing practices. I barely used the software and they are charging me for a year subscription and won't let me cancel.
They violate their own privacy policy by sending out non-product related information to their customer base. This violates the agreement that they make you sign.

Expensify is a homerun all the way around! Very easy to use across multiple platforms. Easily set financial rules and requirements, track expenses and have them routed to the appropriate manager for approvals and payment. Photos, reciepts, mileage and comments are carefully logged into forms that adhere to the report standards of and guidelines outlined by the government. Seemlessly hooks into backend ERP systems for clear review and payment tracking. All at a very low cost of ownership with a high support rate.

Pros

Expensify is just clean and easy to use. It's simple to upload things, you have an idea of when something is approved, where it's at, when you will be reimbursed. The mobile app is also beautiful. I highly recommend Expensify for Expense Reporting

Cons

This is an Expense Reporting only tool. There are not other features outside of this, wish it could be used for Accounts Payable -there are a lot of solutions on the market for AP

Expensify makes entering and submitting expense items really easy.

Pros

It is incredibly nice that I can snap a photo of a receipt when I am traveling, and minutes later most of the details of my expense report are filled out. Takes most of the tedious work off my hands.

Cons

Coming from another tool that was very manual, I have no complaints about expensify. Their automation of entering basic receipt details is awesome.

Easy expense receipt entry, easy to get reimbursed on-time, and easy to report historically on expenses.

Pros

- Email Receipt Forwarder - Rules that you can configure to automatically handle different assignment automation - User Interface and Experience is very easy - Easy to use mobile application

Cons

OCR technology is not totally there. This isn't a dig on Expensify, but you still need to review your receipts and any that were detailed by the scanning tool.

Pros

Quick to scan receipt and upload via mobile and track expenses, collect and pay bills all in one place. Great automation that saves time and easy to synchronize with accounting system.

Loving Expensify

We just started using it and it's amazing. So easy to use and we're justing getting into it. Switched over from another expense tool and this is so much better. I recommend checking it out and trying it for yourself. So much automation and planning so less you have to worry about and manage from doing your expenses to signing off on them.

Pros

Super easy, fully automated. You can map out and plan when your expenses are sent out form daily to weekly cadences. Checks in with you to make sure everything is up to date and that your expenses are done on time and you get your money back right away. Anyone can easily use it even if you've never done expenses or needed to do them before. I see a cool feature for next day or rapid reimbursement.

Cons

To be honest I have yet to find anything wrong with Expensify or any issues. Time will tell if the notifications can become bothersome or an annoying issue but we shall see.

Onboarding and Customer Service is PAINFUL

Gets the job done for a startup, but unless they get better with response times during the setup onboarding process, will move to another platform in a few months.

Pros

PROS: Easy to upload receipts from mobile app I do not have anything else in the Pros column, but this requires 100 characters so I'm writing this sentence.

Cons

Not intuitive in many areas Getting help takes hours to days for a response! "Chat" is a joke--takes hours for a reply Automation to Quickbooks is not accurate--takes several steps Far more administration each day than anticipated "Next Step" messages not always accurate Onboarding/setup process was not intuitive and when I tried to reach customer service took days for a response

Expenses made easy.

Overall Im happy. They have a powerful app and uploading expenses is quick and effective. The app is decent so saves you having to use the web client. Overall it does what you need it to do, but theres some advanced functions that Expensify is missing that its competitors have (Listed above). I would recommend this vendor if you want speed and simplicity, but if you are interested in the more advanced functions and automation then its worth having a look at competitors first.

Pros

- Very easy to upload receipts - Handy email reminders - Variable options for tax which helps when working internationally - Options to retract submitted expenses to correct mistakes without waiting for them to be declined by financing teams

Cons

- The receipt scan function is slow, to the point where everyone within our teams choses to manually upload the receipt info. This is fine as it doesn't take long but it makes the scan option pointless. - No geotagging to show location of your purchases, such as you see in Monzo/Revelout/Stirling bank etc. - Occasional software crashes, quite a minor complaint as you simply re-launch the app and continue - No way to automatically link into a bank card, so your expenses don't automatically upload - This would be such a game changer! - No total expenses viewable on app, you can see the total value of each individual claim but if you want to see how much you have claimed over the week/month/year you need to manually add them up.
