Pros

It's a nice incentive to encourage cost savings for the company and really nice for employees if you aren't too particular about your lodgings.
The ease of use and functionality is great and it makes it easy to track where your reports are at and when it has been approved.
I really enjoy expensify and everything it encapsulates. It's easy, and quite frankly, effective and I recommend to everyone.

Pros

It's easy to use and very effective. I had some issues with my subscription and the customer care has been very helpful.
Not only is the app fantastic, easy to organize and easy to use, but technical support and customer service is A. Any issues at all are handled promptly and professionally.
By far the best feature of this solution is the ability to track expenses and organize them for ease of use later. I have never felt so organized then when I started using this product.

Cons

Our company have multiple entities in the US and in EU and expensify does not support this, the integration with xero is a mess i don't understand how does it work...My overall experience is bad.
Criminal billing practices. I barely used the software and they are charging me for a year subscription and won't let me cancel.
They violate their own privacy policy by sending out non-product related information to their customer base. This violates the agreement that they make you sign.

Cons

The app will crash after taking a pic of a receipt. It’s easily fixed by downloading the new version but is frustrating at times.
I constantly am having to update the vendor due to missing or wrong information. I also had a bit of an issue importing documents from my previous solution.
Occasionally the software will parse the receipt information incorrectly, or part of an email receipt will get cut off when it's reformatted.

Simple expense reporting software with automatic tagging OCR for receipts

Pros

My favourite feature is by far the receipt scanning ability. Whenever I travel abroad for business, I come home with a handful of receipts as I don't have a corporate credit card (I do not travel frequently enough). Taking photos of all of my receipts and dragging them into expensify saves me a tonne of time. I've also heard from colleagues that there are features to integrate with taxi/uber apps so...

Cons

I find the the IA of the app confusing. I use the software only every month or so, and I am always confused by the fact that there are expenses, and then there are reports... so sometimes it takes me a while to realise where to go to submit my expenses. When not in the context of a business trip, I often have adhoc expenses for things, and so it feels weird not to be able to submit these without generating a report to put them in. Perhaps it is a business process feature, but it is definitely a stumbling block for me every time.

I love that it allows for a user to submit their banking information so that they can get direct deposit.

Cons

It's somewhat not intuitive, some people confuses expenses and reports. Reviewing receipts should have more checkpoints.

It's very useful for tracking expenses for my business, and scanning the receipts in so I don't have to keep physical receipts all of the time.

Pros

This app works great and it is very useful for my business. It's easy to use and keep track of expenses, especially for someone who doesn't know too much about accounting or finances.

Cons

Nothing that I can think of. Maybe the only thing is that it is not free; but regardless, it is definitely a reasonable price!

I've liked my experience with Expensify. It makes it easy to keep all of my expense receipts in one place and send them to my manager easily. The app is great.

Pros

It makes reimbursements easy at work. I used to use the website but now I use the app and it's very simple.

Cons

There was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning -- had to remember to put receipts/expenses into actual reports.

OCR technology is not totally there. This isn't a dig on Expensify, but you still need to review your receipts and any that were detailed by the scanning tool.

Very easy to use for corporate accounting. Makes it simple to track expenses and submit receipts to accounting.

Pros

Very easy to track and assign expenses to different projects/categories. Easy to upload receipts and add any relevant notes about charges. It learns your categorization patterns which makes it easier and easier each time you do it since it pre-saves the settings.

Cons

Linking my cards to Expensify was tricky and required some overriding by upper management. Also, it would be great to be able to apply one invoice to multiple transactions instead of uploading the same invoice multiple times.

good for a while (free version). Now I take a picture and synch automatically with onedrive. It is just not worth the hassle for me.

Pros

One place to put all your expenses. Can upload receipts and categorize accordingly. You can also create reports.

Cons

The scan feature rarely works and if it does will take a long time and your phone will get warm with all the processing on the background. I ended up just taking a picture. Reports are poorly formated and scan images are not PDF which is a problem if you want to use in some other tools later.

I've used a few different expense tracking programs and Expensify is definitely the easiest and most user-friendly. I really, really love that I can submit receipts using my phone and it basically does all of the information for me. It's also SUPER affordable.

Pros

It's really nice that I can submit receipts by just taking a photo of them on my phone. I don't have to remember to keep all of them and track all the info at the end of the trip - it really makes submitting my expenses so much easier.

Cons

Honestly I don't really have any complaints, I don't know how the admin side is because I've only ever submitted receipts and expenses on it.

Very good, smooth process to sort out your expenses. Can keep an open trip and add expenses as you go.

Pros

A solid tool for tracking & submitting expenses. Can scan receipts and import certain credit/bank charges automatically. You do need receipts for purchases over certain amounts, although this may be customizable by company.

Cons

Scanning receipts can take a decent amount of time. Also needs a better solution for when you don't have a receipt, which I end up using pictures of credit card statements.

Expensify makes it easy to submit expenses and get paid quickly and efficiently. It also offers real-time expense reporting integrated with applications like Bill.com.

Pros

Expensify is a great tool for managing corporate expenses, submitting for approval and getting reimbursed quickly. It's easy to upload receipts, itemize expenses and submit to management for approval. I've use it for both travel expenses as well as a variety of office and businesses expenses.

Cons

Although scanning receipts is an option, sometimes it does not read well and manual data input is still required.

Was skeptical at first; now convinced it's the best receipts / expense manager for small business

My overall experience with Veryfi has exceeded expectations. As a small business owner with invoices and receipts of all different shapes and sizes, I was quite impressed by how quick and accurate the OCR software was in Veryfi. I was originally skeptical of using Veryfi as it wasn't a proven name in the industry like Expensify, however I am glad I made the choice to use Veryfi as it's far better than its competitors for my purposes.

Pros

The software is highly intuitive and easy to learn. The process of uploading receipts, editing previous entries, or changing a vendor name, follows a familiar flow nearly all smartphone users will feel accustomed to. What I enjoyed the most about Veryfi are the certain features I never had on my list of requirements (or thought to be important) in an expense manager but turns out to be extremely...

Cons

Not sure if this is Veryfi's issue, however the integration with QuickBooks online can be improved. I never get the confidence of whether a receipt has been uploaded and matched on QB, aside from the green QB logo being red. If there was a better way to bulk manage expenses and how it's uploaded into QB, and what it's QB status is (ie. matched, no match, amounts not matching, etc) that would be helpful.

For capturing receipts, head and shoulders above everything out there so far.

Pros

The receipt capture is by far the most compelling feature this app offers. Not having to wait 24 hours to have my receipts captured (ReceiptHog lol) is a huge deal. It's instant with this app. Another huge plus is that my receipts aren't being sent to some offshore sweatshop exposing my data to god knows who? (Expensify which I used previously) These guys are using AI, which is cool, machines aren't going to sell my data or do anything nefarious. The other pro for us is that it integrates with our existing accounting software, it was an easy sell to us.

Cons

The app looks a little ugly ? Maybe that's just the nature of boring accounting software but it's a minor quibble.

Easiest and fastest way I've seen yet for my team to enter receipts

Saves time attaching receipts to Quickbooks Online software. Hoping for better receipt recovery with this app.

Pros

Prior to trying Veryfi, I was scanning and attaching all paper receipts to Quickbooks Online after team members piled them on my desk after a week of being on the road. Now team members can quickly snap a photo of the receipt, choose the expense category and customer and within 10 seconds it has arrived in my Quickbooks Online. I was worried that Quickbooks would duplicate the entries, but it doesn't....

Cons

The price is going to be our only negative so far. Would like the whole team to be able to use it, but not sure if it would be cost effective.

After a long search, I finally found this gem!

Game Changer! I was with all popular Ex******* for several years when I received an email from fbe CEO stating that anyone that did not agree with him politically was “unpatriotic” I am sure many reading this are aware of this. This disgusted me because I would not continue to do business with them after reading such an asinine statement. I was upset because other than Zoho and Concur I did think...

Pros

I like the ability to integrate credit cards. Not only from the 4-5 largest banks but from hundreds of banks. This is not seen from competitors. For example, I have a Amazon Visa but also have an Amazon Store Credit card (no visa/mastercard). I also have a best buy store credit card (again only good at that business. I was floored to see that Veryfi integrated with these too!

Cons

So far, I am a couple of months last the 30 day free trial. Other than using the software have not taken the time to really customize it to my business and automate to.many tasks. No complaints this far and I hope that will stay the same.
