Expense reporting is easy with Expensify. But it is just that - expense reporting.
An easy way for corporate expense tracking and reporting. UI is very simple and intuitive. You can do it on the go which is convenient. I really appreciate how smooth and easy it is to update, upload, claim your expenses. Especially comapred to some large systems like SAP.
Some features are still missing, the automatic sync between credit card and Expensify could work better. You still have to do a lot manually.

It allowed our company to switch from manual expense reporting to automated expense reporting. We are now switching to a better expense reporting tool.
Anyone that has a basic understanding of technology can just load the app and use it to submit reports.
While Expensify is super user friendly for end-users, the admin side of things is severally lacking. There are very few functions and configurations that can be made on the admin side. Also, the direct integration with QuickBooks Online is great and easy to use, but adding accounts in QuickBooks Online sometimes automatically adds accounts to certain expense policies in Expensify, but not all policies....

Easy expense reports!
I really like how easy it is to upload pictures of receipts and then Expensify handles the rest. It parses data from receipts very accurately and I usually don't have to make many corrections.
The only complaint I have is that if you accidentally create a report I haven't been able to figure out how to delete them so I sometimes end up with an empty report hanging around in my account.

Time saved. Less time spent creating and submitting expense reports. Much easier to review other's expense reports.
Take photos of receipts and it automatically identifies the vendor, $ amount, and sometimes auto-categorizes. It pulls in bank and credit card feeds to generate expense reports with minimal manual work.
Sometimes the reports get auto-submitted before I'm ready to submit. It requires more backup than is often necessary.

Quickly deployable expense system.
Easy to get started and simple to use. Much better than Concur at interfacing with QB. If it wasn't for the more robust interface tool, I wouldn't be using it at all.
Near zero support. Only option is a online chat and it takes them hours to respond. You can't call anyone to get a simple question answered. Very frustrating. Very limited credit card issuer import. If your bank is not on the list you have to manually configure and it won't let you split a single import and parse out to cardholders after importing transactions. You have to send each user their own card transaction file and they must upload individually. Receipts and expense items disappear without explanation sometimes and you must reload them.

Easy expense report submission.
I love the convenience of being able to submit work expenses for reimbursement in multiple categories and under different reimbursement schemes. The software facilitates automatic generation of reports and offers automatic submission as well, so I don't have to worry about categorizing or submitting my reports by month, pay period, etc. That can all be customized and automated. It also keeps track of the current reimbursement schemes offered by my company (i.e. current mileage reimbursement rates) so I don't have to manually keep track of that or enter it each time.
Because there are so many features to the software and customizable options, it loses a bit of the "user friendly" aspect. It also throws a lot of flags on certain expenses that I submit due to rules in the app that don't apply to that category of expenses (i.e. receipts are required for all expenses, but when I'm submitting a mileage expense, a receipt is not applicable). In order to take full...

Streamlines business expense processing
It's really easy to use, when it works. Charges on my business credit card are automatically picked up as business expenses. If I have an expense I can take a picture of the receipt and have it pull the relevant information for reporting the expense. Assembling the expenses into expense reports is easy to accomplish.
When using a picture of a receipt, the app frequently struggles with identifying the expense information. I can often attribute the difficulty to the receipt (about half of the time) but there are times that it has difficulty with clear, concise receipts.

Expensify has made our expense reporting so much more simplified and saved everyone so much time.
Expensify is in my opinion the best expense option on the market. It is so easy to use and makes expense reports a breeze.
Not really anything I dislike about expensify, but what I like the least, is I wish the software was a little smarter and able to match expenses if the receipt date is a day or two off from the billing date.

Company wide uniform Expense tracking. The benefit we realized is that with Expensify we can streamline generating and processing expense reports.
Expensify is a great tool for keeping track of business expenses, whether your dining out, traveling, or paying for a place to stay. Expensify has features that makes this process easy. Expensify streamlines data entry with smart capture capabilities. Customizable tags so users can categorize expenses in a way that makes sense to them. Also, can visually see the cost breakdown on your dashboard. ...
Usually, with a product with many features, the likely problem is usually that the UI is a little hard to use at first. There is a learning curve to the product. Sometimes I have issues with the smart scan but that could be caused by my cell phone camera.

I guess it's better than doing expense reports in Excel or by hand, but it's such a complex piece of software that it seems more like a solution looking for a problem than a solution to a problem. Maybe it would add more value in a larger organization with lots of expense reports (I use it with a client that requires 1-2 expense reports per month).
The software allows for online creation and approval of expense reports and credit card expense tracking. Expensify is an improvement over doing these tasks manually.
The interface is needlessly complicated and it's difficult to learn how to use and troubleshoot problems. There's this AI "concierge" built in to Expensify that I have found more often annoying than helpful. The credit card feeds break down sometimes, either not capturing expenses or applying the wrong dates to expenses, which fouls up the feed between Expensify and the GL software. There is a feature called "copilot mode" that allows users to access each other's accounts, which I still find confusing. It looks like Expensify is trying to make this a nice-looking interface with a good user experience, but they're just kind of missing the mark in my opinion.

There is no sense of being a valued customer.
I recommended this software because it simplified expense reporting.
The new Expensify debit card has become a requirement for using the tool, unless customers want to pay a "penalty" usage fee each month. It is nearly impossible to speak with a human at Expensify, and the online interface is clunky.

Saving time and energy on something highly important, but very mundane.
Great for quickly categorizing expenses and sending expense reports. I use it with 5 of my employees and it makes our back end expense reporting a lot simplier!
Uploading photos of our business receipts often does not work properly. Find this frustrating when it should just be a snap, literally.

I have not had to worry about submitting expenses for the entire time I have used this platform.
Submitting an expense is straight forward and the amount of things I have to think about are minimized by the platform taking care of actually submitting expense reports.[
There were a lot of unnecessary features (at least for our purpose) that in my opinion diluted the platform. One example is the "smart scan" that as far as I could tell has never actually worked.

Better reimbursement experience, less time wasted on administrative entry.
From an expense report submitter standpoint, expensify is an easy application to use, allows to split transaction. My expense report went through seamlessly with minimal manual work needed.
The app could be better improved, it could run slow from time to time and crashes when trying to load image.

Snappy performance and modern features for expense management.
For any software that requires tedious entry and categorization of items, the key is performance. Expensify meets the bill, both with the website and mobile application. Creating reports, adding expenses, navigation is all very fast. Expensify autosaves all report activity which is a lifesaver if you accidentally close the site or mobile app. Smartscan allows you to take a photo of the receipt and Expensify will scan the photo and auto-populate categories. This saves SO much time compared to having to scan receipts and upload them.
It would be nice to have more integrations with other travel systems, i.e. travel booking systems, ride share applications, hotel chains. The smartscan feature is hit or miss, sometimes it picks up all the information and other times nothing gets auto-filled. You also can't combine receipts in the same smartscan, i.e. two taxi receipts don't get totaled together. Smartscan also isn't great at understanding foreign currencies, this sometimes makes for amusing reports.

This is a good, inexpensive expense reimbursement system.
I like that I can be sitting in a restaurant, receive the bill and have it expensed within about 2 minutes.
Sometimes it can be a little tricky with aligning to your credit cards. It's somewhat of a gray area.

Simplifies expense reporting when it works as expecte
The software has great features when they work. They have the receipt upload feature that will take a picture and analyze the receipt details including date, price and location and categorize it properly. I occasionally had receipt mis-categorized and or not analyzed at all.
It was difficult to tell when you had successfully submitted your expenses for review. Once submitted, they would say 'Awaiting review' but it did not say whether it was waiting for you to review, or accounting/your boss, etc.
