Pros

It has a great interface which makes it feel very easy to use and has a great set of templates you can use from the beginning for various accounting needs.
For a small company as myself the excellent invoice features has been very helpful and useful.
FreshBooks combined with other applications is a great tool. In any case, if you want to create invoices and send it in a split second and then track and monitor its progress, I recommend FreshBooks.

Pros

Love it, love it love it. As a small business, it has al of the tools we need to run and operate our business.
My overall experience with Google Workspace has been great. There are so many useful tools within it and it is perfect for a business owner.
A really great place to work out of, ease of use is 10/10, and just really a workplace's best friend.

Cons

We would lose all of that if we switched, so unfortunately we are stuck with having to use this horrible new format.
It is really frustrating to have a client not be able to pay through the invoice, and for this reason, only, I have been considering a new software company.
Tier based pricing from Lite to Premier is a bit confusing. WePay advocates having a Chase bank account for faster processing otherwise fails to integrate.

Cons

For example, inserting code into a google doc is sometimes ugly and extremely inconvenient. I imagine there are other similar specialized use cases that should be added.
We did run into occasional glitches and bugs, especially where access permissions are concerned, which can be a problem.
At times when files are imported from external apps such as Microsoft 360 for example there are loss of formatting and data types which is inconvenient.

Makes our accounting and invoicing to clients way easier

Freshbooks allows us to fully engage our accounting, auditing and invoicing power all in one dashboard. And that is something that we desperately need, because efficiency in our workspace is highly valued.

Pros

I like how it has built in invoicing and readily export everything to a spreadsheet for easy balancing and book monitoring. I like that it goes readily with an iOS app so we can use it on the go.

Cons

More integrations with payment methods. They probably could expand to direct point of sale and other payment methods. But beyond from that, I have nothing bad to say against Freshbooks.

Cons

I think the security part is very weak, there are options that you can not customize, in some cases it does not allow group members to access the information.

I have not really had the need to dive into all of the features of Freshbooks yet but I love how easy it has been so far to navigate around.

Cons

I am not sure what the difference is between Freshbooks and Freshbooks classic but I am sure that a quick Google search would answer that.

Pros

Users are able to update it - much like Google Documents - from any location rather than having to install something on your computer.

Cons

There is a learning curve to figuring out how to maximize all of the various features. Once you get it up and running with your team, it is worth it!

Pros

I like FreshBooks with its flexible settings. The service allows me to choose the responsible persons and the method of delivery of bills. I can send an invoice both by e-mail and by regular mail (this function in the application is called Snail mail).

Cons

Customer data can only be imported in CSV and QuickBooks formats. It would be more convenient for me to download them from Google Sheets. With data export the same problem.

Great value for a paid service - Skip the free programs & save yourself the headache

Streamlines my business, and has decreased some headaches I was having w/ other software. Great time-saver and gives me peace of mind.

Pros

The UI was organized and modern, looks good while being easy to use at the same time, pretty much what I am looking/hoping for w/ any software I buy, and this has it. Saves time. The trial version let me try before paying, so there's really no reason not to try it out for your business. Features for taking notes are great, and the overall software is highly flexible in regards to inputs for expenses. I think any business owner can use this software effectively.

Cons

Single-entry accounting can be a hassle for some, but there are some workarounds you can use to make this function for you. I guess I'd call that a con, you might have to get a little creative/ask for support in certain instances, but Google is a lifesaver in that regard, and I never had to wait long for support in the rare scenario that I couldn't find what I needed within minutes on google.

Pros

I use the FreshBooks tool to automate the billing process for customers. The service allows you to quickly send and manage invoices. Full integration with Google Checkout and PayPal major payment systems is available.

Cons

The first disadvantage of the FreshBooks platform is the inability to reconcile reporting with tax. The second drawback is that there is no function to automatically fill in the details by personal identification number.

For me, it is essential and efficient for easy recording and then invoicing of chargeable time.

Pros

Pared down so the key components are easy to find and use. Like Google web apps, they add functionality only slowly and when clearly needed (and clearly tested). Using FreshBooks for nearly 10 years has been a positive-only experience.

Cons

They have an entirely new design coming, I have seen it in beta. Until it comes out I could only really complain about one thing using FreshBooks to edit longer/complex Estimates. Formatting longer items / many items, is not great, the editor page is a bit basic. But it is utterly reliable and I know this has been addressed in the new version of the app (and meantime this is not a big issue).

Freshbooks it is a quite straight forward system that saves you a lot of time, training is quick and input of entries are so rapid. FB Customer Service is also really helpful in every single way, they reply amazingly fast so if you have any issues they will be sorted before you even know it! In general, understandable and logic which provides an easy and smooth processes be able to take place

Single entry accounting , it would be nice that you could choose this as sometimes this can slow processes. There is no goal settings and reporting features should be upgraded probably and these cannot be opened on the APP and you can only access it via browser.

Pros

FreshBooks is simple and on point accounting solution with excellent features like automated monthly invoices, payments remainders,provides integration with most of the credit card processors, PayPal and google checkout etc to facilitate online payments with auto pay feature. Customer support is amazing also ca be accessible from mobile.

Cons

There are few downsides like monthly invoice is missing pending amount from previous month and it done not provides tax calculation and limited clients with free version.

Pros

When we opened our small business we were looking for a invoicing app that was would be simple to use. Collecting online payments and for our customers that use google pay, paypal, etc.... it made life very simple. Freshbooks allowed us to create recurring invoices for our repeat customer.

Cons

As with any software there will be some feature that a person will not like. With Freshbooks its the default payment settings, Also I did not have the ability to seperate out 2 business with this app.

At first I didn't want to use a new accounting software. But Freshbooks made it so easy to capture my contractor's hours, and then send them to the client, that Freshbooks seriously became a go-to software that I use multiple times a day. Pros

FreshBooks makes easy bookkeeping with all the different report types, I need. I can track divisions as well as overall company income/ expenses. Its very easy to use and pretty intuitive. If you need help a Google search usually helps you find the answer you're looking for. As far as functionality goes, its so easy to use to invoice and track payments.

Cons

I'm not a fan of typical Help pages because I can never seem to find exactly what I'm looking for, so I always like software that is backed by live people with better chat & phone support.

That would be great if there were some toy examples or dummy data that users who just want to try the software see how it works. Seeing the overall picture with the dummy data might help. With one click add the toy data and clear the data if users want to try their own data.

Pros

I like dashboard everything users need are there at one glance you can see it. Navigation was easy. The left panel is great! I like categories for spending and others, graphs for reports are really nice. The web version is fast, navigation is super fast. I liked the ads on google play. It could be better if you add the Dashboard as well.

Cons

Starting the application on the demo needed some works. The website asks for Name, Address, etc, I would like to suggest to make it as simple as possible. Users can fill their info later.

Definitely recommend this for small business

I am a personal trainer, yoga teacher and nurse. Keeping books was not something I ever had to do. I tried Quickbooks with my husband's business and we nearly came to blows. I found freshbooks with a google search and was very happy from day one. It is very easy to keep track of things, record expenses, and go back and get detailed information from reports.

Pros

Easy. Simple. Professional. It sends out very professional invoices and I like the integration with paypal, it is seamless.

Cons

Sometimes have issues with bank connections, but could be my bank's issue

I have been using Freshbooks for many years (7+). I feel very comfortable recommending this Saas. I use the service both on my iOS devices and my PC's. Having everything available at any time is very convenient. Freshbooks works great for both time billable (services) or item (products) billable type invoicing.

Pros

Ease of use, support. Payment methods. Mobility. secure and reliable.

Cons

When comparing this service with other platforms. The price may be higher then the free or basic entry level price points. I long to see the software developed to use support tickets and for CRM type features. I wish I could use Google maps like the good old days. (address lookup) These are all personal opinion items that have no effect on their ability to perform what they do well. Cloud accounting.

Saves me hours of time in saving and reviewing expenses. Plus automated recurring invoices prompt me to bill recurring clients and get paid more regularly.

Pros

iPhone and iPad app is great allowing you to take photos of receipts and instantly enter and save your expense. Support is fast and helpful from actual people with timely responses to email. Easily create projects, time budgets and then generate invoices from time entries. Full colour/logo customization even on free plan. Integrate with lots of other helpful business apps - Basecamp, Google, Xero, etc. Easily add users as sub-contractors and create teams to track times and expenses.

Cons

Could be a little less expensive for the low-user plan...but still worth the cost for what it saves me in time.

Before Freshbooks, I had no system. I had spreadsheets for expenses, but never kept them up to date. Reciepts were chucked where ever, and usually lost. I created invoices in Word or Excel - generating them from scratch each time. Tax time was a nightmare. I was so disorganised that I usually ended up not claiming any expenses for my arts work because finding and recording all the info was too overwhelming. Freshbooks totally changed the way I saw managing my arts endeavours. In Freshbooks, I can quickly generate quotes, invoices, track time and expenses. It is so easy and so lovely to use that I can't believe anyone wouldn't want to use it.

Pros

-The iPad app is beautiful and allows you to snap photos of receipts, saving them straight to the cloud. -The people who work there are clearly awesome. -You can create projects with time budgets and generate invoices from time entries. -You can customise the colours and logos even on the free plan. -Freshbooks integrates with tons of other applications (Google Apps, Xero, Basecamp etc). -There are real people available to help you and they actually respond to emails! -You can add people as sub-contractors and create teams to track time/ projects/ billing.

Cons

no longer a 'forever free' option available, so you will have to pay to use after a month.

Online payments are integrated with reliable credit card process. Invoicing system is very useful, you can easily deal with repeating invoices. A Highly responsive customer service. The interface is very straightforward and easy to use. Integration with Google applications is another plus. You can add on your own logo to it and theme the application. You can even effectively track the progress of your team. The mobile application is indeed robust. Data is secured with encryption and multi-factor authentication is an add-on. All your data is backed up. You can avail the free trial option.

Cons

Subscriptions have a finite limit to a count of five hundred. Recommended more to businesses that encounter repeat in transactions rather than individual ones. The time tracking tools require a lot more updates. The reporting, as well as inventory management features, require more development and updating.

FreshBooks is the best invoicing software for freelancers

Freshbooks saves me time creating invoices manually, when I first started freelancing I would manually create invoices. It also helps me get paid faster, accept credit card payments, and send automatic payment reminders to clients. I now have a lot more time to focus on growing my business instead of doing admin tasks.

Pros

It is very easy to create new clients and send invoices. There are multiple payment options available, and it means I get paid much faster than slow bank transfers. My clients also like to have a choice of payment options that suit them. I love that you can invoice in multiple currencies for clients worldwide. Currently, I use it to send all my invoices and also track expenses. I also plan to use it when doing my taxes in the future. It definitely has made things less stressful and faster than when I would manually use Google Sheets for everything.

Cons

The only thing I don't like is that the Lite plan is for up to 5 billable clients, but then the next plan, Plus, is for up to 50 billable clients. It would be nice to have another tier in-between. I have regular long-term clients, but I also do a lot of one-time projects so need to go with the higher tier.
