Pros

It has a great interface which makes it feel very easy to use and has a great set of templates you can use from the beginning for various accounting needs.
For a small company as myself the excellent invoice features has been very helpful and useful.
FreshBooks combined with other applications is a great tool. In any case, if you want to create invoices and send it in a split second and then track and monitor its progress, I recommend FreshBooks.

Pros

I love how it gives amazing statistics measures sales of each staff members for me to set targets. And is easy to use for staff.
Best software I’ve ever used easy to navigate and helps me get the best from my business while tracking staff progress too.
They are there to help anytime. The reports part of the software is brilliant to see where your buissness is doing well and where you need to work on.

Cons

We would lose all of that if we switched, so unfortunately we are stuck with having to use this horrible new format.
It is really frustrating to have a client not be able to pay through the invoice, and for this reason, only, I have been considering a new software company.
Tier based pricing from Lite to Premier is a bit confusing. WePay advocates having a Chase bank account for faster processing otherwise fails to integrate.

Cons

Problems with Connection with Salon Tracker and TMax Manager.
Still lots to learn but that's down to having time myself and if there are any problems over the weekend it is difficult to solve problems.
There is always someone at other end of phone also if any problems occur.

Good product but very buggy and major issues persist for months (or years). They make you go through so many hoops just to troubleshoot.

Two majors issues that are making me look elsewhere. 1. Time tracker doesn't always work. You pause your time and return later and it is still going. There is a huge disconnect between the app and website time tracker which causes sync issues. I've used a couple of other time tracker software tools and I didn't have this issue. Hugely Unnacceptable Bank Feed Connection Limitations

I backed away from it as soon as I could not get good bank feeds to my accounts. This made it unusable to me.

Pros

The Project Tracker/job profitability feature.

Cons

The bank feed/connection limitations with only seeing the date picker and account selection the 1st time and never again and then after having to miserably have to do a manual feed and then ONLY debits - NO DEPOSITS are imported was just inexcusable and a DEAL BREAKER.

Great software for service based companies !

Straightforward Bookkeeping Easy Invoicing Time Tracker Works across several devices

Pros

After leaving a popular but much too popular bookkeeping service Freshbooks was a breath of fresh air! It is incredibly easy to use, straight to the point but robust enough to work for a freelancer to a larger company. Feel overwhelmed ? Use Freshbooks!

Cons

It doesn't integrate with as many services as i like. Other competition makes it very easy to link your accounting software to several other services.

Almost perfect

I can't really say anything bad. For me, it's so much better than QuickBooks. It's exactly what I need. (I'm a one-man show, but I think it would still be perfect if I had employees)

Pros

Invoicing and reports never better. The Expenses part is improving.

Cons

I'll be 100% Freshbooks contained if somehow a mileage tracker was added.

First Accounting/Time Tracking Software

Easy to implement, easy to use. Simple interface.

Pros

The time tracking is very simple and easy to use. Keeps you organized and helps to determine what time is being spent on what activities. The dashboard is also a great tool. The client tracker/project tracker is also a great tool.

Cons

So far there has been a bit of downtime / some issues with the back end coding of the software causing errors. I have to manually track my time and enter it in after the fact. Also, my CIBC account has blocked the software and I have not received any assistance about getting that reconnected despite asking. There could be more options for how to list billable items on invoices, I find I usually have to manually play around with the line items to have them appear they way I want on the invoice. Struggling marking expenses paid when I manually add them to an invoice.

BEST Bookkeeping App for Consultants

I use this software daily. I track all my time, I invoice clients, I create estimates, I get client feedback and reviews I process payments. Aside from my email, Freshbooks is the app that I open and work in every single day. It is central to my business and I wouldn't survive without it.

Pros

Ease of use. UX. Top notch customer support. Reporting features are awesome! Time tracker is great!

Cons

I really can't think of anything...

It only allowed 3 clients at the level I was using it which was minimal

I preferred FreshBooks Classic to the New Version

I migrated from Classic to the new version in hopes that the "projects" would be a more robust version of tickets. Unfortunately, I haven't found that to be true, and a lot of the functionality is different. I can't migrate back as I would lose any data entered in the new version.

Pros

I can access the data from any device. I like the time tracker feature, although I liked the function better in classic.

Cons

In classic you were able to have multiple timers open at one time (handy if you needed to pause and jump to something else), but that feature is no longer available. Also, when you pause your timer while working, you end up with multiple time entries rather than a single entry. I haven't been able to find all of the reports that were available in classic.

Pros

The time tracker and invoice creation saves you a lot of time. You can do a lot more on the website than the app.

Cons

If I had the same options in the app as I do on the website, I'd give it another star. It needs a lot of work, including fixing a lot of bugs.

Great way for small business or self employed workers to handle book keeping

Easy tax prep reports and late fee reminders. This program helps me keep track of where my money is going and what invoices need following up on.

Pros

Great filing system, time tracker has great plug in features and the app helps me keep track of expenses. Reports are great for tax time.

Cons

Log in used to not be great but that has been changed. Some options can be hard to find in the new interface.

Easy to use for non-accounting types

Very flexible and intuitive. My accountant was impressed with the reports i could submit at years end. Easy way to track clients, invoices and expenses. Especially on the go!

Pros

mobile app simple set up price conscious

Cons

no GPS tracker. But i emailed the founder of the company on it and he actually responded! So they are working on it so maybe actually a pro.
