Pros

It has a great interface which makes it feel very easy to use and has a great set of templates you can use from the beginning for various accounting needs.
For a small company as myself the excellent invoice features has been very helpful and useful.
FreshBooks combined with other applications is a great tool. In any case, if you want to create invoices and send it in a split second and then track and monitor its progress, I recommend FreshBooks.

Pros

This Software has the nice capabilities of assigning the workflow and also to know the status of the work. Search tool has the good performance enhancements.
The best part of the software is when I can add opportunities for my clients revenue for my future projects. It helps me to understand and work easily for my future revenue.
I like that certain forms can be modified to accommodate varying needs. It's nice that it integrates with our time keeping software.

Cons

We would lose all of that if we switched, so unfortunately we are stuck with having to use this horrible new format.
It is really frustrating to have a client not be able to pay through the invoice, and for this reason, only, I have been considering a new software company.
Tier based pricing from Lite to Premier is a bit confusing. WePay advocates having a Chase bank account for faster processing otherwise fails to integrate.

Cons

Automating the export of data is difficult and painful, and the API is extremely limiting in both functionality and usage limits.
Poor (non existent) formatting of reports. No community forums or "vote for function.
Far away from SalesForce, lack of functionalities.

A must for Freelancers, Website Designers, Digital Marketers + More

My business started the day I signed up for freshbooks. All my invoicing and accounting needs are met with this easy to use platform. Setting up recurring invoices and keeping track of expenses (which automatically get imported from my business CC) can be a pain, but with freshbooks... it's on auto pilot.

Pros

Recurring invoices. Auto payments from clients. Super easy export of expenses (doing my taxes literally take one click and I send it to my accountant). Great apps which now has a card reader with a swipe and that smart chip thingy. Send invoices by snail mail. Clients have a login portal where they themselves can download invoices for their records/taxes. Custom logo and colors to match your brand.

Cons

No CRM tools. Wish I could handle some of my most basic CRM needs with freshbooks but I understand that they want to focus on their core, cloud accounting.

Freshbooks is simple, clean, and mature software that would work well nearly any small agency.

Pros

Freshbooks is ideal for a small service-based startup or agency. It handles the client cycle from estimates, project time tracking, invoicing, payments, and satisfaction. It lacks a CRM but that's a matter of sticking to their strengths. Instead it integrates with several CRMs. It's easy enough you can have someone running it with almost no training.

Cons

A main consideration in choosing Freshbooks is how closely you want CRM to be integrated with invoicing. Other in-class software like Zoho CRM+ Zoho Invoice is tight, but requires more setup.

Overall my experience is best apart from the above problems the rest of the features are awesome and easy to understand for a new user.

Pros

Ease of creating invoices for customers and vendors in one place. Giving credits or making payment is a very easy way in this CRM. I am a daily user of this CRM. I create invoices on a daily basis and send customers from the CRM directly.

Cons

Deleting of invoices is difficult in this CRM. Making credits of the invoices is a bit difficult also.

I've been a FreshBooks user for more than 5 years---and in my business---it has helped tremendously. It allows me to do all my accounting, including expenses, estimates, time billing and traditional billing. Lots of customizable options, too.

Ease of use from an accounting software is elusive. Also the cost to have a CRM integrated with our accounting and expense software is crucial to our success.

Pros

The ease of use that Freshbooks provides is a key component in why we chose them. We had tried other software and found them not easy to use, navigate, or understand. Our ability to use Freshbooks as accounting software, CRM, and expense tracking has been invaluable. The mobile app is also awesome.

Cons

Freshbooks can sometimes be buggy with invoicing and has limited support and integration's. Missing the ability to sort and combine entries that were added then readded when sinked accounts are updated.

Pros

One of my favorite things about this software is the easy to navigate portal. Very simple to run through invoices, and see total AR. Very intuitive.

Cons

I didn't have many complaints about this software, other than I believe they stopped utilizing our merchant services that we were using. Also, having to integrate with our CRM using a third party app, was a bit clunky.

It allows us to send invoices to get paid.

Pros

It's a very easy to use interface. I can quickly find what I'm looking for and it allows me to keep track of pending invoices very easily.

Cons

You can't duplicate invoices from the mobile app, rendering the app almost useless for me. The current version of Freshbooks isn't integrated with some of the other software we use, mainly our CRM Hubspot and document program Pandadoc.

Freshbooks is a very elegant accounting platform

Freshbooks is recommended for billing based on recurring periods. The platform manages online payments, monitors finances, and much more. This is undoubtedly an exemplary tool, full of expense tracking options.

Pros

The debtor accounting tools that freshbooks bring integrated are very varied, especially for its tax calculator system. Freshbooks offers very customizable accounting models, and also has a convenient mobile payment system included.

Cons

With freshbooks, the performance metrics of our business management cannot be reviewed, and marketing cannot be managed. A major disadvantage is its poor ability to integrate into CRM services, since it has hindered the organization and consultation of our contact databases.

Pros

1. Invoice creation is very easy and fast . Takes them out as soon as the work is done. 2. Apart from invoicing it also manages customers and acts like a small version of any CRM.

Cons

1. Notification should be implemented whenever there is a reminder. 2. I cannot schedule invoices to be sent out at specific times which is something I wish it should have.

Cons

Wish it had more of a CRM element to it too. Also I would love for them to add some form of project management suite, so that the estimate could be converted to a task list, shared our, monitored and ticked off, then invoiced

Great! Totally worth the money if you have a lot of clients and invoices to write and keep track of.

Pros

Freshbooks does a great job of linking with CRM software and makes it really easy to send bills to clients. It's does a wonderful job helping to keep track of all the outstanding bills of all of the clients that I have.

Cons

I would like to have more invoice template control. The designs of the templates are pretty boring and while you want to have a professional looking invoice, it is nice to make it a little more flashy. I also do a bit of traveling and sometimes I don't have internet but I would really like to write invoices. If there was an offline version of the tool that would at least let me make and hold invoices locally.

Easy to use and very reliable invoicing software. Has just enough featured to work without overwhelming you with features you don't need. This is the go-to software if you need great invoicing software.

Pros

Easy to use and easy to navigate admin area. Makes it a breeze for creating invoices. Also supports recurring payments, which many other invoicing software does not offer. Freshbooks also offers a lot of 3rd party integrations to other software you may use, such as accounting and CRM integrations.

Cons

While they provide basic bookkeeping software, it is really underwhelming. They currently use single entry accounting methods which do not align with most other accounting software like Quickbooks or Xero.

Ease of use, very quick to get set up and made both invoicing and getting paid as simple as adding items to an invoice template and hitting send. Loved the stripe integration as well as the ability to hook up Freshbooks to our CRM and time tracking apps.

Pros

Accounting doesn't need to be complicated and integrating Freshbooks into our copywriting business was pretty straight forward. The ability to both invoice and track expenses in the same app was really useful. What made Freshbooks a real winner for us was the available integrations with both our CRM and our time tracking app of choice.

Cons

It would have been nice if it was easier to import our info product sales but that's a minor issue. For client work Freshbooks is a dream. Customise their templates and you're ready to start sending out invoices, update client accounts and collect the payment with Stripe in under an hour.

One of THE Best Invoicing Softwares

I've been since 2011 and as I stated I love it. I use it to invoice my Clients and I have also used it as a VA for my Clients.

Pros

This software is excellent, especially for its price point. It offers automatic, reoccurring, and tracking within the software. You can also set up backend access for your Clients so that they can access to pay as well as review hours if you are someone who keeps track of your time for tasks. It also has a light built in CRM system that you can input your Clients' details into and you can also message them using this software. You can also track your finances, but personal and business and the software will track and categorize most expenses in your accounts for you making it easier to track your expenses. You can the invoices as well as the software to match your brand as well. It is really a user-friendly, light CRM, invoicing software.

Cons

This is one software that I have literally zero complaints and I love how the software improves with each software update.

En general bastante bueno, moderno y completo. Precio accesible para lo que tiene y lo que se puede hacer.

Pros

Una de las cosas que mas me gustó y que no he visto es otros software de CRM o facturas, es el estilo actual y diferente que tiene para crear las facturas, me parece innovador y es algo que seguramente te hará ver como una empresa grande y moderna ante tus clientes. Muy completo, integración con bastante cantidad de bancos para llevar el control de tus gastos.

Cons

Dos cosas me parece que le hace falta, lo primero es que el correo que se le envía al cliente debería contener un PDF con la factura, aparte del enlace para ir a la página y ver la factura en linea. La segundo que esperaba era poder agregar un método de pago como por ejemplo paypal, que permitiera a los clientes acceder a su cuenta paypal y pagar directamente el monto de la factura.

This makes my life so much easier

I have been using Freshbooks for many years (7+). I feel very comfortable recommending this Saas. I use the service both on my iOS devices and my PC's. Having everything available at any time is very convenient. Freshbooks works great for both time billable (services) or item (products) billable type invoicing.

Pros

Ease of use, support. Payment methods. Mobility. secure and reliable.

Cons

When comparing this service with other platforms. The price may be higher then the free or basic entry level price points. I long to see the software developed to use support tickets and for CRM type features. I wish I could use Google maps like the good old days. (address lookup) These are all personal opinion items that have no effect on their ability to perform what they do well. Cloud accounting.

I have been using FreshBooks for over 2-years and am currently using it. I used FreshBooks a long time ago when they were new and more minimal. It has been great to see them grow up. The cost is a bit steep so I may not continue to use them -- I'm 50/50 at the moment. If they provided more value for the cost I would consider it a good investment, but paying for a CRM on top of that is expensive. Overall I do love the software!

Pros

I love the clean and friendly UX of FreshBooks! It is a pretty efficient piece of software that helps me get paid quickly and easily. I feel it has grown up so much over the years too. Invoicing is super easy and tracking expenses. Those are my primary base needs to run my business.

Cons

I do wish that entering client information was a bit more intuitive as I feel like I'm doing input for a client into my contacts, importing it to my CRM, and then hand inputting into FreshBooks again feels redundant. I would really really really love to see a Mac App to complete the mobility and desktop experience. I dislike having to open a web page to manage things on a daily basis.
