Fusebill Subscription Billing Features In Depth

Designing Product Catalogs

One of the first steps when creating a recurring subscription program is for a business to map its product portfolio. Fusebill offers tools that allow businesses to map their product portfolios with Fusebill’s catalog. The application can handle any kind of product offer or billing process.

To create a product catalog, sign on to Fusebill and answer a few questions about each product being added to your catalog. Along with pricing information about each product, Fusebill will ask about the expected behavior. You can add products to plans and set up your own plan pricing. Fusebill also offers quantity reset functionality for products that are added to a plan, but require a new quantity to be added each month.

Dunning Management

Fusebill’s dunning management system is completely customizable. Designed to eliminate revenue leakage and ensure that client credit card information always remains up-to-date, businesses can set up their Fusebill accounts to automatically charge their customers’ cards each month and manage things like charge failures or fraud.

Decrease the time you spend dealing with issues like credit card payment declines by utilizing Fusebill’s dunning management features. Fusebill automatically retries charges after failures and changes a customers’ status when payments are unable to be processed. In the event that a collection attempt fails, Fusebill will send an email to the customer right away.

Automated Invoicing

Fusebill believes that business owners are spending too much time manually creating and sending invoices each month. To eliminate this issue, the application offers invoicing automation features to help businesses run more efficiently.

Using Fusebill’s invoice automation tools, you can integrate your subscription accounts with more than 40 different payment gateways. You can also create itemized invoices and automate the delivery of virtual products to your customers.

Applying Discounts

Businesses can apply discounts to their customers’ accounts on an individual basis using Fusebill’s tools. They can then manage the coupons they’ve created and apply them to subscriptions with minimal effort.

Create a new discount by logging in to your Fusebill account and selecting the “Catalog” button. From there, you can select the “Discounts” menu and click on the “Add Discount” button. Fill in the discount information, making sure to include a name and a unique code. Save your new discount, and then create a coupon using the discount you just saved. Activate that coupon, and you’re ready to go.

Hosted Checkout Pages

New customers who sign up for a business’ services can do so on hosted checkout pages. Hosted checkout pages are a part of Fusebill’s white label solution, providing companies with registration pages that integrate to Fusebill without requiring businesses to write custom code.

When your customers want to subscribe to your services or purchase your products, they can do so through your own hosted checkout page. This is the place where customers will enter their billing and shipping information and setup a payment methods. Fusebill provides you with plenty of options for designing checkout pages that fit with the existing aesthetics of your business website.

Need to change a product's price for all customers? Look elsewhere.

They import data, just make sure that you're not live yet when they do it (they messed ours up when importing into live system).

Cons

We never thought that price changes would be a missing feature for a recurring billing system.

Fusebill really listens to their customers and they care! They are very helpful in finding solutions to any issues and always come up with some work around.

Pros

I'm loving their new dashboard customization.

Cons

Invoices are written in stone and once posted cannot be edited in anyway unless deleted (this causes movements on the GL).

Fusebill now takes care of all of our billing - we used to have a fair bit of manual processes each month, and had to get a developer involved for pricing changes.
