Pros

I now have a better understanding of HIPAA as well as my staff and have the confidence I have been looking for.
I found it to be very organized. It is time efficient and I appreciate that when it comes to things like this.
What I like most about this software was the ease of use and how fast we were able to implement this program into our medical practice.

Pros

Overall they have a nice POS interface and it is pretty stable. Their pricing is also pretty good for the base system.
The bets thing about Revel apart from the easy to use interface is the support team - I have been super impressed with the help I have received in setting up my new POS Revel system.
Was a great price and it integrated seamlessly with my QuickBooks Online software.

Cons

Any issues that others had were due to user error.
There were only a few set backs that were due to user error, not the program.

Cons

Then they're arrogant as hell about it. Don't even get me started on how painful, slow and counter-intuitive the backend is.
Terminals went out of sync with each other and caused major problems with ordering and reports, affected customer service. Every time Apple does an update the system does not work (2-3 times a year).
Terrible Company and even worst with the way they conduct their selves. Their sales reps are liars and only care about making the initial sale.

Overall, I had positive experiences using this software.

Pros

This is a great POS for any restaurant. As a server, I found it to be easy to adapt to and highly customizable.

Cons

Particularly detailed orders could prove tedious to input into the software but that more so lies on the management team that implemented the system and not the inherent fault of the software.

Absolutely horrible integration with payment systems. I mean, learn how to split by seat!

Pros

Nothing, this software is an absolute disataster.

Cons

Literally everything. Split checks. Have minimum features that every other POS offers. Please. Don't waste our time.

Revel Retail POS

We recently switched to the Revel system from an older POS. While there was a slight learning curve for our employees it was very slight and has run smooth. Since installing Revel the amount of information garnered from the system has already begun to transform our business for the better. I would highly recommend Revel to anyone that is looking for quality software that will bring them to the next level in their retail establishment.

Pros

Ease of use, back office software, Cloud based.

Cons

Many items for retail are not turned on immediately.

Pros

Because Revel is easy to use and the navigation is fast and friendly our customers are taken care of without waiting.

Cons

I wish you could manipulate the levels in the POS system when setting up products and items instead of having to use the tier given.

Pros

The software is well built and appears to be gearing up for the future business styles.

Cons

Customer service has been poor 50% of the time. People not understanding the issue or English (sometimes). They have made many improvements towards better customer service, but still have a ways to go.

Pros

Easy to use, easy to program, great customer service.

Cons

software is buggy. It seems like the product team is OK to push new releases before they are tested. Software updates regularly changes settings to default and with no warning. Bad handling of a bug-fix issue with Gift Certificate bug that is still not resolved.

Vast improvements

I have been using Revel POS for our family business for just over a year. The software has been great from the beginning ,but the customer support and tech support was very poor quality. Over the past year it has made a big turn around. I would now recommend this software to anyone wanting to get a robust POS.

Pros

This has been the only system I had found that supports both a retail and full service restaurant. And they appear to be staying up to date with where the markets are trending.

Cons

This is a large amount of data and features, so I sometime have a hard time finding the features that I need and how to use them despite their great help site and tech support.

Optimized performance for the Price

Support staff at all hours are super efficient. Their guidance on several occasions, helped my team and others fix a problem as a group.

Pros

Back office functions are excellent and support through self teaching or help line is immeasurable.

Cons

Occasionally, software updates are not practical when you are not notified in a timely manner. Whitelist their email addresses.

Pros

Salesperson lied to get my sale. Told me I would be able to enter our online sales manually. What a headache.

Cons

Now I have to make this work, and it is just unbelievable what was not designed into this software.

The functions and features were the best but the pricing for this software is outrageous. There are other competitors that were better priced.

Cons

The pricing was what I least liked about this software. It's great but there are other competitors with better prices.

Overall we have been very impressed with the Revel platform and it has enhanced our business and enabled us to grow at a rapid rate.

Pros

Revel offers a simple and easy to use graphic user interface. Training time is very minimal and the IPad platform is very reliable.

Cons

Service calls are prompt and issues are generally resolved. Only complaint would be the software they use to manage the service calls

Great Software

Revel is a great software and I've enjoyed working with it for my first restaurant. It seems to be very customizable and reliable as we've never had any issues with down time.

Pros

Options for most situations and plenty of flexibility in the software. Easy to use POS interface and very quick to work with.

Cons

Online ordering is still not 100%, they're still working out a lot of the bugs and does not have some of the things I was promised (as of October 2016). The back end is VERY confusing and difficult to learn. They give you a support rep which is nice but they defer a lot of questions to the technical support team in which some of them are not helpful at all. Overall, I haven't been thrilled with their support team.

Not for salon use

Had trouble from the start wrong equipment and printer sent . Now the program does not like what I was told . Can even get my appointments when clients make them. I have dealt endless hours with support I probably have deleted and re added the software over 25 times . Called in over 75 times . Rebooted over 35 times . Spoke with customer support over 75 hours . Some seem like they know it's not functional for a salon but nothing they can do . It's sad . But I figure I'm gonna have to leave cause being a single operation an an people make appts online and I don't even know is the worst and then you got to refresh and then still the client is not on the calendar .

Pros

I just like apple products and customers like the seamless integration with checking out . So this has nothing to do with software.

Cons

Limited and useless for a salon. Clients make an appointment and can only add one service. So when they come in they are like I wanted to add other stuff but couldn't . I do not get a confirmation when a client has scheduled an appointment online . The system is set up for food service / dining . Calendar system is the worst .

Ok Product with very poor customer service

We run a small grocery store. This system came with no set up instructions, and when we called customer servoce they suggested we hire their tech guy. Absolutely unhelpful when we ran into trouble with both the software and hardware, and then the company ended up sending us parts that we didn’t order for our scanner/scale that we purchased from revel and that did not work from the get go, then refused to take the parts back, and then charged us for said parts 2 years later. Had very poor customer service and a team that was unwilling to support their system.

Pros

Fairly easy to operate if using for a very limited purpose. The main menu screen is clear enough. Like that it uses an IPAD.

Cons

BAD customer service. Software too limited for our needs, did not live up to its promises. Inventory and data hard to utilize from the dashboard.

Revel System features a slick Point of Sale system. I am able to use many different payment types and works with Samsung Pay without NFC technology.

Cons

I would like to see more integration with different software we use. It's not easy to export some of the information to connect different data.

Good POS Software

Revel is a much better POS system than previously used. It makes opening and closing very simple. Inventory is fairly simple. I like the look of the software. Definitely recommend it.

Pros

Nice clean look and fairly easy to find what you're looking for. Good POS software that can help you clean up your POS offerings. Provides fairly good POS protection and security for your business. Closing and opening is very simple. Saves a good amount of time from previous system used.

Cons

When you have two items and only one is discounted, the discount shows in the second item as well. This makes it hard to get the price right. Have had to do a manual discount, rather than percentage to work around this.

Awesome system when it works!

Pros

The customer based software is beyond competitors! It is easy to use on the front end. The back end is a bit tricky but there are videos on just about every aspect. The video I need most, however, is non-existent. Tech support cannot even explain it. Once you play around with the software, like anything else, it gets pretty user friendly.

Cons

I have a small restaurant. One would think that one access point would be enough. I have two AP's and still have issues in a 52' x 25' space using two ordertakers! I can't, after one replacement, get the card swipe to work on one of the ordertakers. Going to swap it one last time. And I DO NOT recommend getting the cases for the ordertakers. One of mine broke almost immediately from having to open it twice a day to charge the mini ipad (due to the card swipe not functioning as it was supposed to). To me, it's a money making issue. My sales rep hasn't been easy to connect with since purchasing the product.

Pros

Really easy to use and revel gives us lots of visibility into different aspects such as scheduling, payroll, and sales. We love it because it serves many different purposes for us.

Cons

A few glitches through the point of sales systems. Software will freeze from time to time as well which does effect the productivity to have that lag.

Our business has 8 locations under the Cobb & Co. brand name. We are TSR, multi location, and have future plans for up to 20-30stores in the next 4 years. Confident that we can grow with Revel.

Pros

Revel's use of real estate and easy-to-learn interface is second to none. Revel support structure, 24/7 with escalation to Tier 1>2>3.

Cons

Little bit spenny. They're just lucky it's so damn good. Would like to see some integrations with reservations software for restaurants. Other than that, Revel is choosing some good partners.
