Pros

I now have a better understanding of HIPAA as well as my staff and have the confidence I have been looking for.
I found it to be very organized. It is time efficient and I appreciate that when it comes to things like this.
What I like most about this software was the ease of use and how fast we were able to implement this program into our medical practice.

Pros

Iris has been a godsend as far as what you have the ability to customize and see. The detail is incredible compared to all other booking systems.
User friendly, and when you need help they are happy to help how we can add multiple separate users to the account.
Their technicians are friendly, patient and most help you even with things like the printer and other things.

Cons

Any issues that others had were due to user error.
There were only a few set backs that were due to user error, not the program.

Cons

Being incapable of changing a service provider after it has been closed out is a problem, along with not being able to combine a family at checkout.
This merchant account system is AWFUL. It’s not easy to set up, very slow and support is very bad -READ THEIR REVIEWS FIRST.
It is frustrating now that we have changed to the cloud based system that there is sometime a lag in switching from screen to screen.

Pros

The only thing that I appreciate about this software is that it's truly made for a full service hair salon.

Cons

This software is extremely outdated and not user friendly. When I used this software in the past, I didn't appreciate that this software doesn't have a cloud option. One could only access the software from the computer it was downloaded on.

Cons

When adding , modifying a ticket before a clients appointment they get a message saying their appointment changed when it hadnt. Also adding a ticket before or when a client drops in for product only we can't create and save the ticket without putting a consultation to hold that ticket on the book

This software makes running our salon so much easier. The payroll is fabulous, the inventory control is awesome. Overall I would rate this software a 5 star because it is so awesome and for any salon owner you will fall in love with this software!

I don't have any dislikes about the software my dislike comes from my business was closed for three months due to the pandemic yet your company continue to charge me I don't think it's right

Buy it... it will totally transform your salon business!

Pros

Having owned and run salons for many years Salon Iris is simply a complete godsend! I tried so many other packages and well.... there either just plain rubbish, not good value or just not as flexible as Salon Iris. Our business simply could not operate without Salon Iris. The features available for even novice users help make the running of our salon a breeze.... I know exactly what'' s happening in my salon... at the click of a button! This gives me a huge advantage over my competitors; turnover and profits have increased by over 25% thanks to the easy to use appointment booking system SMS & email reminder system and No Show clients are virtually a thing of the past....

Pros

Software integrates to a mobile app which we love. Improvements have been consistently good over time. We’ve been using the software since 2006

Cons

Definitely needs better reporting. There are a lot of KPI‘s that are missing which creates a lot more work for users tracking their numbers and sales in certain areas

Excellent software for small scale salon such as ours. Very user friendly.

Pros

All staff are trained quickly due to its ease of use. The Remote Use is essential to the stylists. Scheduling and confirmation texts have become easy tasks.

Cons

Was surprised at how much the monthly cost increased. Would like the administrator to have full remote access to the account.

They will charge you and charge you, and if you bought the software then you are screwed because they will not support it. I spent almost 89,000 dollars on this software over 7 years and now that I need to go back to the software I bought. They erased my seriel numbers and said good luck.

It is very complicated and you will need a very good software back ground to run it, The staff are money hungry

I have been very dependent on Salon Iris for 15 years. I have went from desktop computers to managing everything from my phone all over the world. Salon iris has never let me down.

Pros

Very user friendly. When downsizing my business of 14 years it was a smooth transition from having multiple user software to using single user software. The price was excellent.

I lost all client and financial history when transitioning from multiple users to the single user software.

The ease of booking appointments, tracking my numbers, notifying clients, is the best. I’ve been using this software for 14 years now and love it!.

Cons

The software used to provide the ability for you to put a credit on someone’s account. That is invaluable to me and it’s not in the software I pay for now on a monthly basis.

We depend on this software, however it goes down at least once every month and puts us in a bind or charges clients more than once. It good software with lots of features but expensive for booking and POS. We are stuck for 3 years. No on told us the software is connected to the booking and POS.

Cons

You have to use the ELLO cash register system with DaySmart. They are owned by the same company. We were not told that. LOVE the register and booking is very functional.

Most things work well, just small adjustments to improve the software overall

Cons

Multiple client accounts not being merged even when the information is exactly the same. Which doesn’t allow accurate history tracking. DaySmart allowed payroll and online booking and ideally did work on Instagram but does not if you need it on multiple accounts. We can’t offer a booking button on Instagram for multiple team members

Customer service and having a software that has been around a while.

Cons

This software is very very very dated. Stylist are now require deposits charged before booking a appointment, require you to pay for the entire appointment in some cases and charging for no shows instantly. I have complained and complained yet they continue to add features that they can make money off of instead of catering to our request. It’s my third time returning and was told it was better and found out that wasn’t true. I am very unhappy with salon iris and as soon as I can find something that caters to the new age way of handling my salon then I’m leaving. I have spoke to [SENSITIVE CONTENT] several time month after month and it’s hopeless. Shame

4th year using the software that creates intermittent errors in calculating totals on invoices.

Works well as long as you have a system in place to monitor errors and know how to correct the errors. We currently still use the software

Pros

Easy to use and would be fantastic if the software team could resolve a couple of issues we've had. We still use the software as we are aware of it's flaw and can be easily corrected.

Cons

Salon Iris software occasionally creates errors in calculating totals on tickets (receipts). For example... the last error we found was an invoice that did not include the tax in the total for the client to pay. Instead it showed the tax as a change amount to return to the client. Salon Iris customer support can never recreate the multiple errors we have found and therefore can not send an update to...
