Microsoft Invoicing overview

What is Microsoft Invoicing?

Microsoft Invoicing is an online and mobile invoicing solution available as part of Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium subscriptions. Users can create and send PDF format invoices to customers, accept payments through PayPal, sync data with QuickBooks Online, track sales, and more.

Microsoft Invoicing allows users to create custom-branded PDF estimates and invoices, and send these to customers by email. Users can add business logos, manage sales tax, and apply discounts to line items or entire invoices. Customers can pay invoices through PayPal, and users can track invoice statuses, mark invoices as paid, and view outstanding and overdue payments. Monthly and yearly sales are tracked, and integration with QuickBooks enables customer and catalog data sync. Accountants can also be notified automatically by email of new invoices sent out to customers.

User friendly invoice tool

Used occasionally for 1-2 years

While there's a learning curve, it's worth the money if you're using the features and you have a need in your company. It's a reliable software and easier to use when you get over learning curve.

Pros
Features include integration with PayPal, payment tracking, data syncing, discount management, tax management, auto saves, itemizes listings. It’s a great feature that auto saves changes and discounts may be applied. Besides integrating with PayPal and QuickBooks, it synchronizes with office business center and it updates contacts and info. You are notified via email when new invoices are sent out.

Cons
There are so many features available and there's a learning curve to figure out how to use the tools to highest advantage. We used this in a past company I worked for and we had a small team so used basic features and didn't take full advantage of all features. I would research options and make decision if this is good for your company. There are other tools on the market that include this in an all in one package with other features.

Professional Invoices Made Simple

Used weekly for less than 6 months

I have enjoyed Microsoft Invoicing since I was familiar with Microsoft Office and is easy to use like most of the Office software and easy to get help in the software if needed.

Pros
It was easy to send a client a quote for work and then change it into an invoice. I can easily go into the program and see what invoices are still outstanding and which have been paid. It's easy to print or email invoices. I really like the overall simplicity of it all.

Cons
I had a difficult time at first with getting my logo and info to format exactly how I wanted it. I was able to figure it out, but it did take a few times.

Great product for educators

In the company, we are now able to quickly manage more customers rather than sound everything manually like we used to before we had the product. This makes it much more effective .

Pros
The most positive thing about this software is it provides me with the tools I need to run a small business as an educator. I can quickly and easily create and invoice for a customer and get my payment quickly when I use the software. This makes it a good product for the business and the customer.

Cons
The only thing that I did not like is that the user cannot change certain preset features. I think this may be could be fixed with some tweaking of the product.
