Microstar accounting software has been specially developed for SMEs and smaller administration or accounting firms. There is a starter package and three basic packages. Basic packages are suitable for conducting multiple administrations.

The Starter Package includes basic accounting functions: general ledger, debtors and creditors, diaries and invoicing. Users will also find VAT returns, telebanking, and reminders in this package. Basic Packages I, II, and III contain functions for digital invoicing and sales administration and are suitable for conducting multiple administrations. The basic packages can be expanded with many separate modules. These include modules for purchasing administration, invoicing with G-accounts, accountant reports, audits, and the consolidation of several companies.

The Query module supports SQL queries via the databases of individual administrations. A multi-user version is also possible, in which several users work simultaneously in one administration. The software is installed on-premise on PCs or servers with Windows but can also be purchased in the cloud. Microstar software uses the Pervasive file system.
