I used MYOB a few years ago. At that time MYOB seems the only one which is capable of doing accounting tasks in Australia

User experience is great and is easy to use for beginners. As the product has been around for some time, the forums are helpful for common issues and troubleshooting. From my experience the online support chat is helpful when needed. The myob capture app is great for recording receipts and invoices on the go for allocation later on desktop.
Recurring invoices are a great feature, however for my purposes, I would prefer a create from template feature for recurring contacts. Would prefer to have final say/approval over invoice reminders so the template can be customised to the circumstances. Some basic filtering and sorting features could be added for betting tracking of transactions, invoices, etc.

I have been a business user of MYOB for other companies using bigger MYOB packages for over a decade and find it fairly good although it has serious bugs which are reported by the truckload by all the accountants I know and they are NEVER fixed even after a decade. Like how the excel file download makes all the numbers text and the "manual calculation" field is auto set meaning you have to reformat each and every download twice (format numbers and turn on auto calc) to use the spreadsheet to add up. Designed and run by non accountants
Nothing. completely useless. Doesn't comply with ATO requirements unless you have no employees and what business has no employees? Misleading advertising and advice.
I am a small business with single employee. Noting that one touch payroll was becoming mandatory next year I decided to put my accounts on a basic package to comply. I rang up and they sold me MYOB essentials telling me it would fully comply. After upteem dozen attempts to create a single employee which failed I ring up and they tell me well actually this entry level despite having all the menu...

This is a very simplified online version of MYOB accounting service which is ideal for a small business with one or two contractors. You are able to have one employee on payroll, but if you have more, you need to pay additional money each month to allow for this. It is easy to navigate and does have some good features like the in-tray and linked bank accounts. I found that the cost compared to Account Right was pretty close once I added my PAYG employees to the system. I needed more complex options so I switched over.

Bookwiz Bookkeeping has been operating since 2000 and over the years we have used many accounting software products. MYOB is hands down the best Accounting & Payroll Software solution for our clients and we highly recommend it. We now have nearly all of our clients online and with features like Bank Feeds and Pay Super we have been able to really streamline the bookkeeping and payroll process for our clients which they love as it saves them money. We also love that MYOB caters for the very small business operators out there by have a very affordable and easy to use solution for them which is MYOB Essentials.

You cannot get approved for the direct deposit features without having substantial business history so not for new businesses

It enables us to create and print checks quickly AND on regular white paper. No expensive bank checks! This system works very well, we issued several checks and were cashed by recipients without any issue.

For a start-up business still find the cost high when only using one feature of the suite. This software is great if you need multiple type of payments. Lots of features that may be useful for a business operating at a later stage or with wider needs.

It's been great! Everything that I need and simple to use.
Online checkwriter is incredibly easy to use and implement. It is a perfect solution to pair with Quickbooks Online.
I use Online Check Writer exclusively for printing processed checks. There seem to be a lot of other features but I am not utilizing them due to the way our business is structured.

I consistently have a need to pay new prople in my business. I conduct a lot of real estate notary closings and the ability to mail multiple checks to an address is veyr helpful to me. I would not be able to continue running my business remotely without this service. It is amazing! My experience with customer service during onboarding was also fantastic.
Sometimes I have to send checks very fast. I think the processing time from print to mail can sometimes lag, but in general I have had no major issues.

I was counting on this service to be able to conduct business from abroad. I was disappointed.
I liked the promise of being able to conduct business from anywhere. In reality, it was difficult to set up and failed to meet expectations.
My checks were returned because Online Check Writer failed to attach the uploaded PDF. With no context for payment, the receiver had no idea what my check was for and mailed it back to my return address - creating a time delay, requiring me to find someone to deal with it (as I was out if the country), and creating a huge hassle.

This software is very easy to use. Although I prefer when the costs were not being charged for every check being printed, emailed and sent, it is still cost effective for my business.

I started to use that product several weeks ago and I would like to say that I am fully satisfied user. I like accept my payment via the link. The overall experience is amazing.
I like the interface. It's very easy to digest. Secondly, I am amazed that my business bank operations are in pocket and I am able to recieve and ask for a payment. What I am grateful for is that there's Advanced Two Factor Authentication.
I am not sure I could see my default currency information on the Bank Data. It would be useful because I have 2-3 bank accounts with different currencies. On a business tools menu there's a View more button but I would prefer seeing that features listed right there.

The ability to send out checks via Online Check Writer frees up time to focus on other important business goals and tasks I have! Not to mention knowing my check information is secured in their Cloud is great.
While I can't think of any specific add-ons that could be implemented, it would be nice to see more features that could bring me, as well as other users value!

I have a business model that manages dozens of bank accounts. I needed a centralized check printing software. OCW was perfect for my needs, is reasonably priced, and is easy to use. It was the perfect solution for what we needed.
The pricing structure can be a little steep, but the "pay as you go" option that is now available seems to work for my needs. I would like to see a cheaper, all-in, option with unlimited accounts.
