Reports are clearer and more professional in appearance than Paychex

No clear deadlines for my payroll schedule. I would love to see a "due date" for completing the payroll on my Dashboard, as well as a "payroll accepted" on my dashboard. I'm never completely sure that everything has been done correctly

It takes a couple minutes every payroll. Very intuitive. Less expensive than, Paychex, my last service

There is nothing I do not like about this product

I used this for 2 years. I like that everything was automated. I used it once per month

I did not like that it was slightly limited in features that I found with Paychex

Ease of Use and Cost. They focus on the right things so thy can be agile and nimble.

They don't have as much functionality as Paychex or the bigger companies but those things do not matter to me.

It's extremely easy to use and I can get my payroll done in record time. Their tech support is fabulous. It's NOT expensive at all!

Quick, Easy & Simple! Describes our transition from Intuit Payroll to Patriot Software Payroll.

You have to go in through the settings every time I update a flex payroll that is different every payroll.

The service is very easy to use and is less expensive than other comparable programs. After switching from Paychex, our payroll processing costs were reduced by half.

We still cannot figure out how to have direct deposit activated so it would be nice if that was something that the company took care of themselves instead of having you set it up.

I like how it interacts with local municipalities and pays those taxes on our behalf. All the required reporting done to the IRS and Federal/State Tax agency's are completely automated.

Not many downsides that I can think of. Pretty much has been a smooth operation since i switched over from PayChex,...which was a nightmare.

Patriot definitely provides a lot of value for the spend. Also, the software provides much more flexibility than that provided by the more well known providers (Paychex, e.g.).

Patriot seems to be very concerned about enhancements to the program. Which is good. Sometimes, though I've run into a misunderstanding about the enhancement works which has caused some angina. But, the customer service is always cool/calm/collected and helps me work thru the problems

The software is so easy to use and the company support is phenomenal!!!

The only con is that I didn't know about Patriot when I was starting my business! I lost hundreds of dollars and hours of frustration with Paychex!

Ease of use. Easy setup. Great customer service. You can't beat the price. With ADP and Paychex costing 2-3 times more, this is truly the way to go.

I've been using Patriot Software since the beginning of the year. I have not found any cons as of yet.

It is easy to learn and use. Great customer support getting started.

I have not found a single thing that I do not like about this software and the service.

It's very intuitive and easy to use. I'm a CPA and have used a variety of software packages, including Paychex, ADP, and Quickbooks. Patriot provides the necessary functions, with less administration.

It doesn't seem to generate state payroll tax reporting. At least the version I use.

I was with Paychex before Patriot and it was so expensive and hard to use. Your system is user friendly and I can always get someone on the phone when I need help!!!

I have no complaints!! Everyone has been very friendly and helpful on the phone.

THE COST SAVINGS TO MY SMALL BUSINESS IS SUBSTANTIAL COMPARED TO PAYCHEX, WHO I HAVE USED FOR 20 PLUS YEARS. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM ANSWERED IN A TIMELY MANNER, WERE FRIENDLY AND VERT KNOWLEDGEABLE!!

I HAD SOME ISSUES AND QUESTIONS WHEN TRYING TO MAKE THE TRANSITION FROM MY OLD PROVIDER TO PATRIOT, BUT YOUR SUPPORT PERSONNEL WALKED ME THROUGH MY ISSUES.

How quick you can be up and running Fairly intuitive overall structure

Color Scheme Reporting should be focused on the accountant and it seems to be focused on someone else. Not sure who.

Ease of use. Low cost. Payroll tax returns, filings, and deposits handled by Patriot well.

A bit cumbersome to adjust specific employee withholdings while running payroll.

I Have been in business for over 20 years and wished I would have switched to Patriot payroll much sooner! It is so user friendly and the customer support, if needed, are very knowledgeable and friendly. I will NEVER change back to ADP or Paychex.

I can't think of anything negative to say. It has truly made my life, as a small business owner easier.

It is very simple to use and deploy. We switched from Paychex which was very overpriced, and the transition was easy. The crossover mid year was easy. We do payroll twice a month and it takes all of 2 minutes for 3 employees. It is great for small organizations.

We could use the ability to save a payroll in progress and generate an approval report to get proper approvals before finalizing the payroll.

With Patriot SO FAR IT'S BEEN SEEMLESS..... I love Price, the ease of Use and Speed of doing Payroll..... I Used PayChex with a Previous business and it was a Nightmare, always had Problems with Payroll Taxes - They Never applied to tax account properly, Not to mention the ENDLESS hidden FEES....

The ONE thing I don't like is the Way Direct Deposit is Done, It works and isn't impossible but I think there was a Credit Check at the Beginning and they Withdraw from My Account, into their account and then Deposit into my Employees Account so the Process isn't something that is as Fast as it could be, it's usually a Week out

1.) Its simple to use. 2.) Its cheap. 3.) Full featured but lets me print my own checks instantly.

I thought at first that Patriot was going to send out the Tax documents to my employees. But that wasnt the case. That was a bummer as i wasnt at first prepared. But it makes since that we should send them to know we meet our deadlines and have proof they were sent.

The numbers were generally reliable, except when Paychex did not pay a commission that was due, which caused a bookkeeping/tax compliance kerfuffle.

Customer support was wanting. Patriot software, by contrast, provides fast competent telephone support by people who can provide useful answers on the spot. Not so in my experience with Paychex. Also, Paychex is much more expensive than Patriot.

The ease of operation, inputting for payroll getting report.

At times finding my way around became a bit difficult.

Extremely easy to use. Offers a variety of reports. Our company was able to go paperless with Paychex by allowing our employees to view their paystubs and tax forms on the phone app. If you call the customer service main line, you can usually get through to someone quickly. If your Account Rep is not available, you can get general assistance from another Customer Service Rep.

I can't think of anything I would change about the software itself, but we are not happy with our assigned Account Rep with Paychex. There have been multiple errors to that could have been avoided if she had more attention to detail.

I appreciated that I had a dedicated payroll support representative

When submitting payroll, while I would provide very specific payroll info, their agents would hand key this info into their systems which resulted in mistakes that had to be corrected on every payroll.

Payroll simplicity. Paychex made processing our weekly payroll easy.

Limited functionality. We grew a lot and Paychex wasn't a great solution for meeting our other needs, like time off and benefits management.

Ease of use. Accuracy, Quick response, one stop payroll service meets all my needs! Cost for service is good.

Finding my Paychex reps email to send my payroll off. Cost of sending my payroll docs and checks is high!

Payroll tax processing - I don't have to worry with

Time and Attendance does not integrate smoothly with Payroll, especially if need to enter time off after payroll has been processed. Payroll and TLO staff do not communicate about issues - instead seem to place blame on the other.

Payroll and W2 info is in the same spot. Easy to review and see what my payroll and specific details to that payroll are.

The interface can be clunky. While I don't use the clock-in and clock-out feature, I have seen other staff use it. It reminds me of systems 20 years ago that tried to create a "virtual desktop".

Used paycheck flex at my last job, it was a great way to track w-2s and paystubs.

Nothing really it was a great payroll service!

I really enjoy the ability to quickly view hours worked, available PTO, deductions, and any other payroll related information.

I can not change address and tax information without submitting to an admin. This may be a specific setting.

Love this software! Great for processing payroll and onboarding employees into our team. Makes payroll simple

Can be a little confusing for the new user but aside from that there aren't any other cons I have with it

The ability to create custom census reports for 401k and healthcare plans plus all required WC earnings data. Payroll reports are posted within minutes of processing allowing quick access to data.

I have nothing negative to say. We have been a Paychex customer for 14 years and plan to stay a customer for years to come.
