Pros

It's a user friendly service with great customer care, wonderful service if u have a small business.
Fields to fill and perfectly links the data from one end like ap and AR to the bank reconciliation. Great reports on transactions for the month or period if interest.
We love that it helps us streamline efforts, is easy to use, and is easy to train others on. QuickBooks Online has definitely been one of the best technology pieces of our administration.

Pros

Overall Accounting Seed has been a great experience. I appreciate the architecture of their program as it is built a a very secure way that is intuitive.
It is the ability to leverage the strength of the Salesforce platform that makes the experience strong and the HIG Capital investment and Partner environment that makes the future look stronger.
Overall, we have had good experiences. The package has a straightforward install (save once when we didn't have the correct release, and good to very good support.

Cons

This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable from the company that is supposed to have your books.
The problem is that doing your own taxes online becomes risky the more you have to account for.
Other than tracking my expenditures, the whole system is a pain. Error messages constantly received because "there's a message from your bank" bla bla bla.

Cons

There are a few in the system but I suspect there could be more that could print directly from the system in a more presentable format.
Anytime something comes up I know I have to figure it out myself or waste time trying to correspond with someone.
The inability to send ACH payments out of the box was a huge piece for us.

Quickbooks handles our budgeting and tracking needs very efficiently, effectively, and in a time-saving manner. It's a great software!

Pros

Quickbooks is a very intuitive, user-friendly accounting software. As with any accounting software, it requires an appropriate knowledge of accounting, but with that, it's easy to navigate, search accounts, track spending and payments, etc.

Cons

Quickbooks as an accounting software requires a knoweldge of accounting. This is in no way a dislike of Quickbooks, but someone looking to learn it without basic accounting knowledge would struggle.

From downloads to organization, this has been very useful with setting our business. I couldn't imagine having to hire an accountant.

Pros

The online features avoid the hassles of non accessibility. Plus one subscription allows access to more than one admin and also the CPA.

Cons

Just like anything else, accounting software requires an accounting background, but at least it helped me navigate it.

It helps keep organized by keeping all financial data into a centralized place which makes it easy to manage and access.

Cons

There are basically not even a single feature in Quickbooks Online that i can complain of being difficult to use.

I am an accountant by profession, before getting into business. I have used, implemented and supervised Quickbooks for Desktop / Quickbooks for Accountants in various companies that I worked for. I have over 15 years of Quickbooks experience. I find that Quickbooks online is not for the serious user and businesses who want to manage their finances effectively.

Pros

Easy to use for the beginner who did not have a clue about what accounting was all about. Non accounting terms This is actually "Accounting for Dummies"

Cons

Inflexible Confusing to real accounting professionals insofar as terminology is concerned Restricted features Too slow as it is cloud based

Great but needs work on Payroll

We use QB for all of our invoicing + Payroll + accounting needs. Everything is great EXCEPT they constantly get our with-holdings wrong for state and local taxes, such as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Delaware. Every time we call and tell them "we've called before" we still get the darn emails saying action required, we need information. They just can't get it through! If they can fix that it would be a PERFECT product.

Overall very pleased with the system

Pros

Quickbooks Online is a great accounting program for virtual accounting. Easy to navigate and very mobile!

Cons

It is completely different than Quickbooks Desktop. Definitely a learning curve for those used to desktop.

Easy enough to get the numbers in order

Great accounting solution for small businesses and people that do not know much about accounting.

Pros

For a small company it's a great tool to have. Everything is easy to find and adding vendors can't be easier. It definitely helps you to keep your accounting data organized, to keep track of checks paid, vendors active on your portfolio, overdue items, and contacts’ data.

Cons

Printing the checks sometimes can be a hassle depending on your printer so if you find the right configuration stick t it or you will waste a lot of checks. Also, it'd be great to be able to update or change vendors information easily. So far have not been able to change 2 vendors info because I can't find a way !!!

Pros

Makes accounting easy if you've taken some accounting in college. Integrates with Zapier which makes automation easy

Cons

If you don't know anything about accounting, you're still going to get lost frequently and the support isn't good enough to save you headaches.

Most of the processes are not automated and so intergrating with other tools not easy

Consolidated accounting functions

Pros

It's nice that you can access it anywhere, and are not tied to your office. Nowadays one has to be mobile.

Cons

Sometimes the hosting seems to have issues. It can be rather slow and glitchy which is a big problem.

This program makes accounting easier, however, as a non-accounting user, I find it a little confusing.

Pros

We like that our accountant can access our account and take a look with little ease on our part. This helps for tax purposes.

Cons

There's a lot of guessing if you don't already know much about accounting. As someone who didn't know much, my accountant had to teach me what I was supposed to be doing.

Pros

Easy to navigate. I love the ability to send estimates and then directly invoice from the estimate. The payroll feature is great too- easy to see where

Cons

If you're not an accountant, it's difficult to know what some of the categories mean. I wish there was a way to incorporate annual budgeting.

Easy to set up company profiles. Uploading logos and such is easy peasy. Employee section is through.

Cons

This is not easy to use for a person not familiar with accounting or terms. Really need to have a little above average knowledge of accounting.

Pros

I like the multiple capabilities as well as the fact that it is online so I don't need to worry about backing up my data all the time.

Cons

It takes some time to learn more how to use it and getting customer support can take a while, but they are very kind and helpful.

It comes pre-packaged with helpful pages that are formatted. Recurring Billings is the most valuable feature that we rely on

New to the software

So far so good. My employer chose this software long before I started here 5 months ago & while the function as an accounting software is not my favorite, it gets the job done.

Pros

The software is relatively easy to learn. Most of my previous accounting software was QuickBooks, FreshBooks, and a client built system.

Cons

I find the reports themselves to be very odd. When attempting to access something relatively basic, like the P&L or Balance Sheet.... the layout and user face is not my favorite.

Pros

Its integration with SFDC. Our decision came down to Accounting Seed or Quickbooks and we chose AS. We are very happy with our decision.

Cons

Completed the Integration of our Operations and Accounting

From day one right, to project completion, and now continuing to today, Accounting Seed was and is responsive, transparent, and overall a terrific implementation partner.

Pros

Fully integrated our accounting operations and reporting into our Salesforce platform. Fully replaced our prior Quickbooks accounting. Greatly reduced duplicate entries and speed of reporting.

Cons

Going through the process is time consuming because of the need to accommodate many customizations and unique processes we have. The software was not the cause, just the nature of the challenge.
