I had the full desktop version which was much harder to use. So glad I changed over to the online version.
I like the cloud based system so I never have to worry about my information being lost due to a bad hard drive. I also have it integrated with my point of sale, so no more daily data entry!
It would be awesome if my point of sale inventory would integrate with QB online inventory for reporting reasons.

It was very easy to use, not very expensive, accessible easily online from anywhere, very easy to learn
Does not communicate well with my POS system, although I feel it is the point of sale system not quickbooks

It does the accounting we need to do.
It is easy to enter data. You have easy access to reports. You can use it at home with the online version.
It does not download data from our point of sale. So of the features for the desktop is not available in the online version.

We use QB to upload our sales data from our point of sale software. It's really easy to send the data over to our accounting department.
Since I'm not trained to use QB fully there are many features that I don't know how to use.

It helped us in our accounting and finance reporting and month ends finance
Cloud based = accessible anytime, no down time, no special software or hardware to access the product Easy to share and discuss with other team members (both can view easily)
It has basic functions, but not that good to use for retail (we wanted to use it for billing ie Point of sale, but realized it's more suitable for backend accounting).

Great experience overall. I highly recommend to anyone that has a business or running a business. It'll keep track of your taxes. Your payroll more than you probably need but as you grow your business it will grow right along with you
What I like the best about this software was its integration with other products So it's just seamless with point of sale software, other accounting softwares and the IRS and our banking to be honest
There's a little bit of a learning curve. I will admit but great online support. You can have a live person, help you whenever you need it and really it does get the job done. Just have to learn a bit and be patient

Ok, Quickbooks is like the ultimate software, with hundreds of features Im sure I have yet to explore. From big business to small business its covers all aspects from point of sale to inventory management, even to payroll with the right extensions
With all these features theres bound to be glitches, and with that comes tech support calls. Be prepared to be a while, they will fix whatever issue it is but it can take some serious time depending on the issue

TAX, ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS
KEEPING TRACK OF SALE, INVOICES AND PAYMENTS IS GENERALLY EASY...BUT LOTS OF ISSUES!
TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE. PROBLEM RESOLVING TAKES MONTHS. COST MY BUSINESS THOUSANDS IN TAX PENALTIES WHICH HAS NOTHING ON THE DOZENS OF HOURS I HAD TO SPEND ON THE PHONE WITH TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR MONTHS TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS. THOSE DOZENS OF HOURS PUT ME BEHIND IN OFFICE WORK AND COUNTLESS MEETINGS CANCELED. MONEY LOST PERIOD.

It's a pretty slick platform, aesthetically really nice and the functionality saves a lot of time. Intuitive behaviours throughout all areas which help massively on day-to-day tasks.
Easily the best feature is the dashboard, one look see the whole picture at-a-glance. The app is fantastic for quickly getting receipts into the system, it's so easy to use and plenty of intuitive thought behind it. I like the amount of time it saves, many days it is a godsend.

I am very pleased with the experience I have had, customer service has helped me through any questions or issues I have so it has really been an easy process.
I love being able to search, find, & contact accountants who are already QuickBooks Online "approved" & "compliant" meaning they understand how QuickBooks works. I also appreciate the fact that since my bank account is connected all the transactions are categorized & I am able to get an in-depth understanding of where the money for my business is going. Oh, also it is amazing that there are plug-in apps that can be added to the QuickBooks system. For example, my business is service-based so I use Acuity & through their integration, every time someone makes an appointment with me a draft invoice is made plus all the customer's information is saved into QuickBooks. Making my life & job so much more seamless & efficient.
I wish the app integration for Square called "Sync with Square" actually worked. I only use Square for transaction processing for my business & I would love for the two apps to integrate as seamlessly as other apps do within the QuickBooks system.

I love how simple and quick this app is for organizing your income and expenses. I was able to use the three month profit and loss report to qualify for health insurance, I have my schedule C amounts at a glance, and I can attach receipt photos to each expense. Life is so much easier!
I'm slightly disappointed that I can't get in on the half price sale as a previous customer. I downloaded the app and subscribed about a week before the sale started.

It is the industry standard so accounting consultants will be familiar with the software and able to easily help.
QBO lacks the functionality to link inventory parts to a larger sale. For example, we sell a box of energy bars that contain twelve units. Ideally our inventory would decrease by 1 box and 12 packages with each sale. This is not possible with QBO.

I enjoy using this and the ease of using this software, it is made for smaller to medium sized business and is an excellent solution for point of sale , inventory management and payroll. You can run your entire store with this software and do the payroll and have all files prepared for external accountants without too much effort especially at business year end. Everything is organized.
This product was easy to use , it was easy implemented and integrated within my store. I feel that it has so many useful tools for your business as well as critical and vital tools for a business to operate successfully and cost effieciently aswell as cost effectively. It is so simple to have a software that integrates to all your devices, it runs your payroll automatically as you set it , it facilitates...
This software is user friendly however like any other software a person needs to familiarize themselves with the software before becoming affluent with the software it needs to be learnt like any other software , t does have training so if you on the slow side with IT software you might have to spend some time learning the software but once you do it becomes a breeze. There is training links to assist with aspects we would like to learn , support is widely offered as the company is a stable established firm you know you would be getting value in that aspect. I do not have any cons … I do believe that more reports could be introduced to the online version and a increase in inventory management as this could work well for larger businesses.

Very easy to learn for a novice user. The ability to tailor the functionalities for each business, and run the business quicker and efficiently as the software if setup correctly will be able to help the business owner make decisions for growth. Ability to add an app if a bit more oomph is required for the business such as a CRM, Point of Sale, and many more Categories.
If internet is not available you are not able to access your file, at this stage we do not have Progress Invoicing which is an issue with Construction business's.

This was the best and most economical solution available for my small optometry practice.
Software is required in order to charge patients/ customers. With this, my % charge rate is lower than others, such as Square.
It’s not built for a healthcare / medical setting, such as an optometry practice. Navigation and functionality could be much improved for such small businesses.

While using the service, the integration was great but the annual cost increase was unacceptable. Itis also such a negative that you can't migrate from QB Online to QB Premier.
The main reason we went to this software was it's seamless integration with Square retail as well as the bank feed.
The reason we moved away from the software was because of the increased annual costs.

I have done some invoicing through QuickBooks, which is nice, although it lacks some of the features from Square. I like that I can pull transactions in from my bank account, as that helps me save time overall.
I like that you can pull transactions directly into the program from your bank account. It does save time if you get it set up correctly.
Using 3rd party tools like Square can really cause some issues. I was hoping to have an easy integration, but it's really challenging to get items entered when there are service fees associated with different accounts. For instance, if I provide services and send an invoice to my client from Square for $100, my bank account sees a transaction for $95 (for example) because Square took $5. SO - my items don't line up and I still haven't figured out the best way to accomplish this task and keep my accountant happy.

This has been great to work with through a finance team. It's also available at a large discount for qualifying organizations.
This is really easy to use on a regular basis. I use this with others to collaborate a local non-profit. Since we are all volunteers, we are able to keep track and split duties without having to be in one place! Makes things much easier and efficient!
There are a couple app integrations that have issues, specifically PayPal and Square. If these were to work, things would be MUCH MUCH improved!

When I started researching the perfect accounting software for my business that I could use with my existing banking and invoicing software I chose quickbooks. Because is it trusted and when you need to gather information at tax time...its the best.
The price point and ease of use. No software to download and it integrates with my paypal business account.
There is a slight learning curve if this is your first time working in starting your business. I advise watching the video tutuorials.

The software allows me to manage all of my business finances in one place. The program is synced to my business banking account, so all deposits/debits are captured instantly. This centralized accounting, allows for easy reconciliation of the account, and tax preparation.
The software is easy to use, very intuitive. I can perform all necessary task myself. However, I contract a bookkeeper to manage my business accounting. Quickbooks Online makes it easy to communicate with her on a regular basis.
Sometimes the program will have a difficult time syncing with 3rd party POS software, such as Square Register. However, any issue I've had, was quickly rectified.

Super easy to deploy and it integrates seamlessly with our third party bill payment and expense reporting software.
lack of custom reporting is a bummer but at this price point i wouldnt expect a lot of bells and whistles.

I use Square POS in my brick and mortar store, but use a different option for my online store.
Easy to set up and get going. Back-end is powerful without being overwhelming. It's a recognized name for the customer as well. Inventory functionality works well for the most part.
I wish it implemented better with QuickBooks Desktop or had some more powerful export options in order to get data into QuickBooks. Their online store, while improving, still leaves some to be desired, so I actually have my online store setup through another provider.

Square is very user friendly and has a good bit of functionality, including the ability to send invoices, connect to Quickbooks, and create an online store. It works well for my husband's food truck.
I wish it would withhold taxes for us, and allow us to pay tax directly from the software. We have trouble with customers using the ordering on their phones sometimes...which is frustrating.
