What we liked least about Sage Accounting was its limited functionality for not-for-profit–specific needs. While it handles basic bookkeeping well, it lacks more advanced features such as fund accounting, detailed grant tracking, and restricted fund management, which are often essential for not-for-profit organizations.

It has been a positive experience that allows me to enter transactions and produce within excel a formatted financial statement for the 15 member board every month and the year end for the AGM report.

The reconciliation process could be significantly improved, and both invoicing and expense tracking lack the level of efficiency and automation that is now standard in many competing tools. While Sage does market AI capabilities, they are not meaningfully integrated into the core user experience of Sage Business Cloud Accounting.

Features like automated bank feeds and real-time financial visibility help reduce manual work and improve accuracy, which is important when resources are limited.

It is possible to connect to all your bank accounts and credit cards for automatic conciliation, always keeping track of your expenses.

It would be nice to have edit capabilities to change dates of payment received, and reporting needs to be expanded to include sub-categories so that the parent/child relationship can be reported on and filtered once exported.

The best part of Sage is the banking connections. Although they sometimes disconnect, the ability to load in transactions drastically reduces the administrative load of bookkeeping.

The financial report are clear as like, generating Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Trial balance and Cash Flow statement just a few click.

Returns/refunds are confusing and writing stock off for store use is also a little difficult, as you need to open two tabs and search each item individually for their cost.

Can make notes on the invoices so I find that very helpful for my medical records and so client has a record as well

A 2nd 2FA notification option would at least allow two people (owners, spouses, book keeper) to log in as the same user.
