Pros

The ability to integrate with other Sage solutions was great. We had some other 3rd party solutions which needed to be integrated and the ISV already had integration points available.
Customer support is excellent with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Attractive screens and easy to understand.
This Pastel My Business Online is definitely the best user friendly most cost effective comprehensive online package for nearly all Small Businesses or individuals anywhere.

Pros

This is great software if your just starting out. Perfect for bookkeeping and invoicing.
Very friendly, easy & comfortable to use and love the support team. If you need any help getting your books setup, the onboarding team is AWESOME.
It's been a great system to build our billing and invoicing process on and I don't know of any others out there that are any better.

Cons

Sage Customer Service is terrible, they will charge you for things you don't use or pay for and not refund you.
You can be confused sometimes because all the windows are similar.
There is also a lot of downtime which can be highly inconvenient.

Cons

The cost of goods sold is confusing and difficult to use, the voided invoices can't be reviewed and the expenses are difficult to post as well.
The only drawback for my company is the the inability to run payroll.
They are missing a lot of features that you would normally find in this type of software such as integration.

Easy accounting

Pros

The tool is fully customizable. Everything can be changed and modified to fit your business. Their customer support is amazing.

Cons

There was some hassle to find stuff that we wanted to alter on the tool. We got ir figured out after talking to support. If we could have found a way how go do it, it would have been a lot faster.

I've been using it for 5+ years to invoice my clients.

Pros

I love that I can keep track of all my invoices, let clients pay with credit card or PayPal, and send invoices customized with my branding.

Cons

Honestly there's not much I dislike about it. Of course I don't use it for accounting, only invoicing, because it has limited functionality with accounting.

Simplification of the accounting process

Pros

The simplicity of use. The interface is intuitive, I like the invoices generated clean and sleek design.

Cons

The price is a bit high for my current use. Wish could get ability to generate receipts or send invoices marked as paid

Has excellent potential but still has some way to go!

It makes complex accounting simple.

Pros

Billy provides a simple solution for accounting that is specifically designed for freelancers and agencies. It has a great user interface and is very easy to use. It is solid and I have never had a problem with.

Cons

The fact that key features have taken so long to evolve. I am talking about no PayPal integration and the fact that bank syncing has only just arrived in my country. The most annoying thing is that whilst key features are lagging behind the team are investing users money in having season Billy logos designed, which quite frankly is ridiculous. Their community management needs work as well.

Efficiency, more tools/resources to manage my accounting more thoroughly

Pros

It's very easy to use. It has all the features I need to successfully manage my accounting, it even helps me to manage it more accurately and efficiently. I have to say the customer service is exceptional and they helped make the transition from QB to Billy seamless.

Cons

Sometimes there are a few extra steps to enter data that I'm not used to but once I learn the flow, it's pretty easy.

I've used quickbooks, freshbooks, xero. Billyapp does fill in the gap, but some extra features (mentioned in the cons) will make it #1

Pros

Simple and fully functional accounting & billing system that has multi-currency invoicing

Cons

Doesn't have recurring expenses, unable to generate customer statements, unable to apply a discount % or amount in an invoice. Website is not mobile responsive. app name "billyapp" sounds 'Naff', when i tell clients to check their email for our invoicing system sent from "billapp"... Could I use my own custom domain or you use another domain to send emails?

Smoother accounting process, and I'd assume a better experience for my accountant next year!

Pros

I like that I can easily see open invoices, and when things are due to be paid. I also love being able to track my expenses, and that everything is in 1 place vs. several spread sheets.

Cons

When I try to search invoices by number, for instance, the information collapses onto itself and I can't read unless I refresh every time. Could this be a Mac bug? Not sure if anyone else has mentioned. I also use in Chrome, so maybe I'll try another browser.

Extremely simple and great to use

Setting up and getting started was super easy. We use this software for a retail store selling appliances, so lower volume of transactions a day makes it super easy and to track customer purchases.

Pros

Simple to use and easy to get started. Great simple accounting interface with all your necessary reporting

Cons

No inventory management if you need it. Would like to see a PO module in the software in the future

Basic but just what I need

I amsaving money compared to my previouse accounting package, but this is much more simple and streamlined.

Pros

I find the software very simple and basic. It does exactly what I need it to, with no complications or awkward stuff. That being said i am an accountant and I know what I'm doing - might be a little bit too basic for a total beginner....

Cons

Billy is still very much in start up phase, and not everything works exactly as I would want yet, although I think they are heading in the right direction. Over the last six weeks or so I finally managed to connect my bank account nd transfer transactions automatically - once I manage to connect my Paypal account too I will be in heaven

I have had a reduction in stress and cost to do my business accounting because of using Sunrise.

Pros

This product is way simpler to use for the average small business owner than other, more costly and more complicated accounting products. Everything is very intuitive and easy to understand.

Cons

I have had repeated issues with integrating my bank information to the software.

Fairly easy for a non-techy person to get into and once set up makes the accounting process so much easier (almost enjoyable).

Using BillyApp for over a year now and we are very satisfied so far with its performance. There have been few issues here and there but sorted by fast support.

Pros

Ease of use of available features; accounting section is pretty good too and certainly creating expenses based on uploaded receipts is a plus.

Simple invoice creating. We have an accounting software in the background but that one is not that user friendly for invoicing customers.

Pros

(We don't use the accounting features so the focus is on the billing features). It is very easy to create a professional-looking invoice and share it with the customer instantly via email. It's simple to use, user-friendly and self-explanatory.

Cons

One feature that I would like to see is that I can go to the products overview and see all the invoices that have one of these products on it. In addition, it would be nice to be able to select certain products and bulk-change products (for example, increase pricing on all items selected by 2%).

Accounting is boring... not with Billy

Made my life way easier when doing business in multiple Countries. Accounting is a serious thing, and Billy is used by many companies.

Pros

Ok, I got this software to help our company with our accounting. We have clients in multiple countries and with different currencies, so Billy is super easy to use and if you need the support is fast. Billy is also a double entry software, which means its fully compliant with the rules of accountant. I know, accounting is boring, but at least with Billy can be easy.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is the lack of recurrent charges. They do have recurrent invoices capabilities, but the recurrent charges would be an awesome add-on. They said they will add it, if they really do, the software will have ALL an entrepreneur needs to keep things by the book:)

Pros

The UI is beautiful and as i designer I appreciate that. I also the ease of use for novice accounting person. A solid app indeed!

Cons

I can't really find anything I dislike about this app. Maybe for the power user coming from Quickbooks there are functions not available, but for most entrepreneurs this app is perfect.
