So far our experience has been positive. Once all the templates are setup, it's going to be really nice.
So far the clients that have used it absolutely love it.
Needs a few more shortcuts. Example: Button that takes us straight to client files.

My hope is to cut back on the administrative time that's crept up on me over the years. When my practice was tiny, I didn't mind. But now that my client base has grown, so has the amount of time I spend on petty admin tasks (e.g. reminder emails, follow ups, task tracking, etc.) No more constructing and reconstructing lists and idle threats! If clients don't follow the next step, they'll be responsible for their own stalls.
I like the task tracking capabilities and integration with my scheduling and bookkeeping software. Though it's proving difficult for me to learn, TaxDome's support is very generous. This means I'll get out of it what I put in, because anything I run into will be readily addressed by a specialist for free.
I'd like to see a videoconferencing feature and scheduling built in. But this is only because I could cancel another two subscriptions.

Allows me to have all info in one place, allows me to interact with my clients more efficiently and provide better service

customer support is bad - you can only chat with someone - and most things are escalated to the next level of support but it can take several days days/weeks to get things resoved. there is a lot of info on how to set things up and use the software but it can't answer everythingit's been a ton of work setting up process workflow even after signing up for an expensive program to guide me in the process - i hope I can finish the workflows and get them to work righti have two annual licenses and will need 2-4 monthly licenses - which is very pricey

We have two departments for support, the first level does identify the issue and reports it to Support Level 2 which is our development team. SL2 takes over and fixes the issue. It has been great. The onboarding was helpful as well as all of the product webinars. Very happy so far.
I like how easy it is to use and that I can do all my practice management, tasks, client portal etc all in one place. I love the automated pipelines and workflow and the efficiencies it offers.
I wish signature capabilities could be on any document in any folder and not just in the one with the client view privileges. I also hope it will eventually accept ACH and not just credit cards.

I have not had much experience with it but the features I have used, I like.
It allows has a client portal, client management, and document management system.
It is not easy to learn. It takes scheduling sessions with a support person and watching training videos.

Right now there isn't any cons. Anything I noticed they can approve on they eventually did.

Everything is all in one place - CRM is great.
Highly customizable - there are so many different ways to make the system work for your business.
Better bookkeeping workflows - specifically to incorporate categorizing transactions and reconciling the different bank accounts and cc's that may be assigned to one account.

Ease of use for clients. It has one of the best layouts and functionality for clients. The cheapest KBA I could find. I am in the process of implementing TaxDome to track my bookkeeping and payroll. The ability to automatically create new tasks helps a ton!
I wish it had the ability to text clients. Sending messages are great, but most of my clients are not going to download an app. Instead I have to pull up my app on my phone to text clients to check their email for the list of documents I need. I wish I could change the names from Organizer to Questionnaire and more importantly change Contracts to Engagement Letters.

Only used the software for 10 days, but I like the layout and functionality of the system. Looks like it will make things easier for my tech savvy clients. I like all the available information and trainings to get things setup and running.
I wasn't able to get a client onboarding appointment for about 2 weeks after signing up. I have trouble getting quick support. You have to book an appointment online and wait it out; however, this is where all the videos and trainings become very helpful.

The client portal, document management, and workflows are the things I like most about the software.
The per user licensing fee is a turnoff.

When using TaxDome, you can cancel the most programs you were using, like Adobe, Docusign, Dropbox, etc. Everything is integrated, and included in the subscription. This is why we can not include additional licences into the already reasonable subscription fee. Could not be more pleased with the software so far. Our firm has a somewhat unique onboarding process and TaxDome has been able to handle all of the modifications. More than anything, the support has been AMAZING! Every onboarding session we've had has been with a different rep and they're all incredibly knowledgeable about the product and the tax process in general. We're just getting started and just on the onboarding process TaxDome is going to save us at least a dozen hours a week.
Clearly designed for tax professionals. Other client portal and workflow software were workable, but still could not handle a lot of the processes we need.
Some additional customization on contracts (such as both a team member and client signing them) would be nice. Overall, extremely pleased.

Friendly customer service. Helps me to bring more of my tasks into one system. Previously I was using one system for file sharing, another for payments, and a third for signatures. This should be a big help.
I spent many hours testing various tax practice software solutions and kept coming back to TaxDome as the right choice.
As with most virtual practice softwares, there is no way to manage phone calls to clients. I assume most tax preparers still have in-person meetings with many clients and use virtual prep for those who prefer it. Many of my clients only communicate by phone and setting up workflows in TaxDome is not conducive to that. If there was an option to add additional information such as phone numbers to the workflows, I might be able to make it work. So I can use TaxDome only for virtual client management and still need to use another program to manage in person clients.

I like that not only can I centralize my business in one place, but it was really easy to get set up. I like that I was able to get everything up and launched within a few days.
The free demo version was a nice way to get your client's input, but I'd have really liked if I could do more of the setup.

I have been using multiple systems and tracking work on Google sheets. I will be able to offer e-signing to everyone now rather than just the few I had a subscription for.
I like being able to upload documents in a variety of ways; direct upload in software; copying to Z: drive and uploading using the desktop application. I like the ease of building an organizer and getting signatures.
I was hoping to be able to add merge tags to emails that apply to multiple clients. I wanted to send an email to letting folks know their new rate compared to their rate last year. I added a custom field in the account record but that field was not available as a shortcode when setting up the email template.

Everything has been great, especially the customer service. My reps have been very knowledgeable about the product and timely with their responses.
The all-in-one functionality. It allows you to combine your CRM and PMS and more!
Nothing as of yet. It can be a lot to set up, especially if you're very particular about your client facing templates. But once it's set up, you're good to go! They offer complimentary on-boarding/customer service calls so you'll never be alone to implement.

The support team has made our overall experience so far very good!
As we have just imported our clients into this program, I have to say that customer support provided by TaxDome is TOP NOTCH! The onboarding 1:1 sessions are SO HELPFUL and every team member has been so knowledgable, helpful and friendly! We are most excited about being able to eliminate multiple programs into one and to use the automated features.
We are still very new to the program, but I don't like that the notes don't automatically save. I've lost several notes already. In addition, it would be nice if some windows (notes, for example) could open in a small sub-window while tasks are being created from said notes on the same page.

In general, I am fine with using this software for doc management since I have to use it for signatures, though I wouldn't choose it otherwise. Signature procedure has so far been great for me and clients.
Cheapest KBA signature service out there. Clients like setting up their portal and seem able to use it with relative ease.
Document management is much clunkier than Sharefile. Have some issues with clients on Macs. PDF merge leaves big ugly red letters on docs, have to use a different software.

We aim to provide a reliable service to all, and an annual subscription (a.k.a. a license) ensures that. There is an option for a monthly subscription for additional licenses added to a subscription but the first purchased license has to be an annual one specifically for storage reasons.

This is an all-in-one solution. The workflows can be automated. It does appear that the set up process will require thought and time but will be worth it.
With any all-in-one solution I expect aspects of the program to be less than perfect. I have not yet identified those areas.

I just started my practice about a year ago and started with the Intuit family using Intuit Practice Management (aka Karbon). However, the increased fees this summer led me to explore alternatives. TaxDome does everything that Karbon/IPM does and then some! I've been really pleased with integrations and templates available in TD.
I think there is room for improvement with the invoicing process/customization. This is a great improvement if you are doing old-school bills, but not up to snuff to invoice capabilities for most online applications.

I wish I would have known about this product a few years ago. Great for firms just getting started and will save you a ton of time. The application is robust but still kept in an easy-to-use interface. I'm excited about how this will help me improve the quality of services we deliver to our clients. Zapier integration will be interesting once I really start to leverage that.
1. The built-in templates are hugely helpful and make it easy to begin rolling out the workflow automation as opposed to having to build everything from scratch. 2. The accounting integrations with Stripe and QuickBooks are perfect! They keep my systems in sync and I save a ton of time from having to do a bunch of manual steps. 3. Customer service/on-boarding was awesome; rep answered all my questions and helped me figure out the Pipelines a lot easier than me having to do it by trial and error. 4. Mapped drive capability is awesome. Another huge time-saver.
Modifying organizers can sometimes be a bit quirky. Plus, it closes out the window every time you save and you have to open it again - which is a time-waster. Hopefully, they'll improve this over time.

I like the automation feature and the ability to connect with clients in their portal and through email all in one place.
I do not like the invoicing feature. It can be more robust. If I am sending all clients an invoice, no matter if they are on the portal or not, they should be able to make payments on the invoice. As it stands, I still have to send invoices via QBO for clients who do not use the portal.
