It is creating a system that will allow us to scale the business and hire more help.
Everything we need for the client is in one spot. We don't have to search through emails, text messages or voicemails. We can communicate directly with the client and everything is saved to their folder. It also makes it easier as our firm is growing for new employees to understand who are clients are. All the information that we know we can put in their file and when they call us we can pick up right where they left off without having to be debriefed by the last staff member that spoke with them. This will truly free us off to take on more clients and expand our financial side of the firm because the owner no longer has to be the brain who knows everything about everyone.
Uploading the client files in the beginning took some time but once that was done it was worth it. I would love if their was a way to sync TaxDome with our Tax Software but even without this feature TaxDome is a life saver.

Overall, support has been great and I like the platform.
I really like the workflow set up with the pipelines, and think it will make keeping track of our large volume of clients much easier. It's great having our portal, e-signing, and CRM all in one place, and having the portal link on our website. We are looking forward to trying out our first TaxDome tax season.
I wish there was a way to run printable revenue reports, and other reports using client data, or to filter them by tag. I think it will take staff a little while to learn the platform well.

Overall, very good. Any issues I've had were easily resolved.
I picked TaxDome because it is specifically designed for the tax industry. It has a comprehensive approach compared to its competitors, yet it is simple to use. I really like the Tasks for work that repeats every month! I also have found the FAQ's for common questions with video illustrations very helpful. Customer service has been very responsive to any questions. I also appreciated the 30 day trial as it took me awhile to have time to test it out. I hope they are considering a Zapier integration.
There are some basic features (like being able to sort any column with a click, adjusting column width, hiding columns, expanding/wrapping task descriptions) that are not available to customize the experience. That being said, it's still very usable. I also think they should be a little more clear that, while e-signatures are compatible for an engagement letter, the 8879's are not and will cost extra in order to meet the more strict IRS requirements.

I really like the software. It has changed the way I manage and run the firm. Love the document sharing tools specially the signature request, review and approval. I love the easy access to the portal.

Document viewing and editing could be implemented although it is understood the additional licensing is required so I rather keep the price as is and just fix the viewing window. The premium option is expensive. I wish I had access to the app with the regular version.

The business problems we are solving is a communication process with our clients.
The most impactful feature for our firm was the email integration. We have been looking for a way to be able to communicated with our clients and a place to be able to see all conversation.
Currently, we are in the process of moving all our documents from Onvio to Tax Dome. We are not sure what the best way would be to move the documentation.

I looked far and wide for a tech stack that will work for me. I wanted to get rid of my file sharing software because uploads were disabled by default and I got tired of changing it every single time. I also needed a workflow solution. I haven't worked much with the workflow side of it but looking forward to having a good tool. This replaces sync.com, jotform, asana, my CRM, and any time tracking apps.
I like the desktop integrated client files function, client file requests, client messaging, mobile app availability, the organizers, and look/feel of the custom branded portal. I also needed a legit KBA solution that wasn't DocuSign. I like that you can integrate with Zapier (mostly for Calendar bookings). I like that this integrated with CPA Charge, although I was disappointed that I wasn't able to make it work with my monthly billing. I also like that they partnered with TaxAct, which I was thinking about switching to for next year (from Drake).
It's definitely a jack-of-all trades type software, which is both good and bad. I didn't like that I couldn't set up monthly recurring subscriptions, and that there was no text entry option when requesting e-signatures, so no way to fill and sign a form in the same page. I ended up tag teaming this with Practice Ignition and Adobe Pro/Adobe Sign. I still use KBAs for tax forms. Overall, this was still the best solution for me, and customer service is ACTIVELY working on making some of the improvements that I mentioned so I may be able to drop some of the other things later, but this isn't a deal breaker as my tech stack is still way smaller than before. I wish they had a native calendar booking function.

This software is easy to use, because it is easy to fill in and all the information is in the same place. Signature request, customer information, etc.

Z drive can run a bit slow. Also, I would add a check box for E filed "Accepted or Rejected" to generate an automatic email to the client.

Overall I was searching for something that could handle online organizers and got so much more. The organizer feature is easy to use and you can create custom organizers. Our clients love it too.
There are many features all in one program. The tax organizer is great and simple to use. Having a sign feature right in the same program keeps everything in one place
Cannot scan directly to the taxdome drive. Cannot create the yearly folders from within the taxdome drive which makes the workflow not as efficient as it could be.

I have been very happy and still am not using it to its fullest. The price is very reasonable.
Most of my clients find the portal easy to use. Project tracking can be set up and automated to ease stress. I like the syncing of emails and the messaging so all communications with clients can be tracked in one place. KBA signatures for the IRS is only $1.
There are so many features, it can be overwhelming to set up to utilize all of them.

Support has been great. Without easy access to support, the implementation learning curve would have me worried. There is lots that is intuitive, but I know the automation would have been harder to get right without the resources provided during set up.
Right now, we're using multiple spreadsheets to track projects. These are clunky to upkeep and difficult to get an overview from, especially as we grow. I'm very much looking forward to replacing several spreadsheets with one streamlined workflow that prompts uniform use with all employees.
Not having Tasks that will recur indefinitely doesn't really make sense to me. I feel like the pipeline with automation makes sense for tax prep or monthly books, but for biweekly AR/AP workflow, I just need tasks with better recurring options.

I have been using a fragmented system to try and coordinate document gathering, tax organizer distribution, engagement letter collection, and billing which has become been more and more frustrating every year.

Hi Gary! Thanks for the review. E-signatures (what you would expect from DocuSign) are unlimited and fully included - there is no fee. KBA is available as an added option ($1) and KBA is ALWAYS a paid fee because an outside credit agency has to be paid. If you are ever not paying for KBA, it is not real KBA. We are very excited to have an all in one solution for workflow, contracts, client portal. Now I only have to give clients ONE log in to work with us.
The ease of use and setup. I didn't have to wait for anyone in the company to help us set up our account because TaxDome has a zillion help articles and resources to help you get things done.

TaxDome has all my communications organized the way a CPA requires for smooth processes. I like that manual processes that has taken a lot of time is automated and organized for us in TaxDome. I feel my time is valuable and TaxDome is my partner. I am a happy customer!

This has been a pleasure to learn. video's, one-on-one is scheduled. I tested it on several clients and they really like the interface with their phones, secure emails and messages.
TaxDome (TD) covers everything a much more expensive product does costing more than $30k! it is easier to use, easier to set up, easier to deploy.
The invoicing is very basic. TD should expand this area so you can see what a draft invoice looks like before it goes out. [Remember, I am still new to it. I was able to finally see an invoice but it wasn't a pdf that I could review, mark up, change/modify to my exact standards. I'm still finding my way through, jobs, tasks, stages, etc.

I am still new to TaxDome, however, so far it is a breath of fresh air. The interface is modern and pleasing to look at and to navigate through.
The workflow, client portal, and esignature functionality are top notch.
I would like for the organizer to have the option to prompt for specific documents given the client's answers. The organizer should allow them to drag and drop the files directly in the organizer without having to maneuver to other windows. Its a cloud based solution at an affordable price, with all the features needed to make my work easier
The are a few options that can get confusing, and there's only the option to use stripe, but I use QB payments and can't integrate it with the software. Also the way to report payments is kind of confusing.

What I like the most is the ability to create an "Organizer" for clients to fill out with an "Audit Trail", which a lot of other form software either don't have or are very expensive. The client portal was easy for clients to sign up.
I think the Website and PDF Editor future offered has a little value to me, as I have other more robust for those two, such as Wix and Adobe. I prefer focused over jack of all traits, but I m always appreciative of what TaxDome has offered to us in the above-mentioned future.

As noted in the above section, the difficulty to get an answer on the missing network drive files was a bit frustrating and we had to constantly follow up. Other issues were pretty quick to respond. We are excited to have everything bundled into one place to better implement systems and availability.

- we had issues with the client opportunity to accept "doing business electronically" - the net drive can't have any special characters in the name - but doesn't' restrict the name creation with special characters and it took us a week of badgering to get an answer why certain folders weren't appearing. - Getting used to the workflow design of the software is a little different than we are used to. - Lack of meaningful workflow templates

I am able to reach a large number of clients with just a few clicks. Also I have everything in one program so I am saving a lot of money then having everything separated in different progrms
This product has everything I need. I have have automated forms for my clients, easy to implement signature for my documents. Biggest thing is the client portal for my customers to access everything at their finger tips. If they don't want to make an account i can still request documents securely
i would love to be able to integrate Quickbooks desktop into the program. i make a lot of invoices for my client. I also use CPACharge which I can use in TaxDome but I would like to be able to use integrate Quickbook online for my invoices and having transactions move right back into the Quickbook program. To my knowledge TaxDome is only compatible with Quickbooks online.

Easy to set up, easy to use. If you put the time into developing and utilizing its capabilities, it is unreal.
This platform literally replaces everything I have had to manage in multiple places over the last decade.
The only negative is that they require you to pay annually, which is saying a lot but the investment is well worth it.
