Pros

It's easy to use and very effective. I had some issues with my subscription and the customer care has been very helpful.
Not only is the app fantastic, easy to organize and easy to use, but technical support and customer service is A. Any issues at all are handled promptly and professionally.
By far the best feature of this solution is the ability to track expenses and organize them for ease of use later. I have never felt so organized then when I started using this product.

Pros

User friendly design that is easy to learn and navigate, great for invoicing people as well as paying invoices, good organization of invoices and payments.
Quickbooks is the bread and butter of my business, it is the best accounting program I have used. I love that it continues to improve and allow more integration with apps and documentation programs.
The help on the team when getting this product was great, the features are honestly really great, I use it for payroll as well and it is really worth the cost.

Cons

The app will crash after taking a pic of a receipt. It’s easily fixed by downloading the new version but is frustrating at times.
I constantly am having to update the vendor due to missing or wrong information. I also had a bit of an issue importing documents from my previous solution.
Occasionally the software will parse the receipt information incorrectly, or part of an email receipt will get cut off when it's reformatted.

Cons

Submitting hours for the wrong week unintentionally can be frustrating because there is no way to reverse it without supervisor permissions.
The customer service is terrible. I usually get forwarded from person to person because I'm in the "wrong department," but I know it's because the person just doesn't know the answer.
No recourse through customer service. Data is held hostage as leverage for stopping cancellation of unauthorized charges, ie: sure you can cancel but we're not sure what will happen to your data.

We had stacks of receipts that had to be organized as well as the accounting and classification. Our capture and attachment to QuickBooks is easy and we are ready for audits.

Pros

The linkage with Quickbooks was exactly what we needed.

Cons

Nothing. We have been using it for 3 months and it does what it is supposed to do, and much more.

Easiest and fastest way I've seen yet for my team to enter receipts

Saves time attaching receipts to Quickbooks Online software. Hoping for better receipt recovery with this app.

Pros

Prior to trying Veryfi, I was scanning and attaching all paper receipts to Quickbooks Online after team members piled them on my desk after a week of being on the road. Now team members can quickly snap a photo of the receipt, choose the expense category and customer and within 10 seconds it has arrived in my Quickbooks Online. I was worried that Quickbooks would duplicate the entries, but it doesn't....

Cons

The price is going to be our only negative so far. Would like the whole team to be able to use it, but not sure if it would be cost effective.

Able to send to my CPA for QuickBooks easily.

Pros

I can keep up with my receipts as well as my teams receipts. I have a team of multiple positions and this can be categorized per person and then sorted. I also love that this works with QuickBooks. How awesome it is to give a report to my CPA from my phone.

Cons

The software is the best that I have found so I will pay the amount even though I like it to be less expensive.

easy, quick and accurate

We've been using the program for nearly three years and prior to finding Veryfi it was like pulling teeth to get receipts turned in for posting. Now it's so easy and once employees scan their receipt they know they can simply toss it. I'm not at 100% but I'm pretty darn close. It posts the expense straight to Quickbooks so I can follow expenses throughout the month and when I reconcile the bank statement everything matches up perfectly.

Pros

easy and quick to use, accurately pulls expenses into Quickbooks and allows for multiple companies.

Cons

I haven't found anything yet that I don't like about the software

Great Product!

QuickBooks Online has a receipt scanning feature that allows you to scan your receipts in and match them to expenses. The problem was that I had gotten 3 years behind on scanning receipts in. Veryfi scans them in and automagically matches them to past receipts so that I do not have to go back through and search for them. It's been a life-saver!

Pros

This product integrates with QuickBooks Online and helped to get my receipt mess sorted out.

Cons

Sometimes when using the mobile app, receipts are scanned twice.

Overall I'd highly recommend using VeryFi. We're enjoying it so far.

Pros

We use VeryFi to scan foreign currency receipts because it then converts them to USD before uploading them with Quickbooks

Cons

The software does appear to be a bit "Beta" in terms of the back-end.

This App Makes it EASY

Pros

Once I realized I could also use this company for mileage as well through their Logbook app it was a done deal! The receipt scanning is pretty smart and uploads the picture to quickbooks for me. I love how I can email a receipt and have everything else taken care of. Good option especially for small businesses like myself.

Cons

There's an initial learning curve especially on the desktop part, but it just takes a few minutes to get familiar.

I'm only using it for receipts, but so far it makes keeping and tracking expenses almost fun.

Pros

I like how Veryfi takes the hassle out of managing receipts. Whereas previously I scanned receipts in one step and entered them into Quickbooks as a separate step, I now do it all in one simple step using Veryfi.

Cons

I've only been using Veryfi for a few weeks, but so far I don't have any negatives.

Nothing really that would keep me from using it! Very minor bugs here and there but they keep fixing them and they're constantly improving the app. I can't complain. This is a great app all around.

Saves me loads of time, I don't lose receipts and they're not flying all over my car, littering my desk and getting washed in my pants. I have an accurate record of what I spent and when I spent it. Easily integrates with Quickbooks.

Pros

Love this app. I capture my paper receipts within minutes of receiving them. That way I don't lose them or they don't fade. Once a month I edit the record and tag the receipts to upload to QB. The categories b/w Veryfi and QB are nearly 100%. Also, sending e-receipts to my Veryfi email address works as advertised. Love the feature that they recognize most vendors and attach vendor logos. A+ rating from me!

Cons

Occasional hiccup and I have to take photo of receipt twice.

Pros

I can now store all my expense documents on the cloud, which means I can view it anytime and anywhere, via mobile or desktop. Plus, I now have like a virtual accountant that can report to me my expenses at the given parameters I want it to present.

Cons

Perhaps the only concern I have with the product is that it usually cannot read documents that are handwritten. However, it allows you to input manually the details of the expenditure. For now I'm good with that.

Automated and simple-to-use, compatible with practically everything

After using it for a couple of years, the only difficulty I had was accurately recording revenue to construct a P&L. My CPA and I had a number of difficulties with the software, and the developers worked with us to fix them. In general, I was encouraged to make the transfer to QuickBooks by my CPA.

Pros

The quickest and most efficient approach to keep track of your receipts is to scan them as soon as you receive them. Excellent OCR and alignment correction are provided by Veryfi. Taking images and uploading receipts is simple. It was convenient to be able to utilize the spending category names that I desired. If I wanted to monitor a specific customer, for example and figure out how much money I spent on that individual, I could add "tags" to my spreadsheet.

Cons

Income was inverting figures and not appropriately displaying P&L reporting back when I used it frequently Since then, I believe this bug has been fixed.

Pros

Veryfi is so easy to use for receipt collection - just snap a pic in the app or forward an email receipt and it's in Veryf and your connected apps within seconds, very impressive turnaround time. I love that it will automatically match up my business receipts with my transactions in Quickbooks, bookkeeping is a breeze. And I especially enjoy that I no longer have to hang on to stacks of paper receipts anymore!

Cons

Occasionally the software will parse the receipt information incorrectly, or part of an email receipt will get cut off when it's reformatted. Most of the time it's pretty good though. I also would like to see more user-friendly/visually appealing reports, that's the main reason I haven't switched over entirely from Mint for my personal finances.

Saves my time

Pros

I'm a photographer and I have to travel for my work quite a lot. Previously I was just photographing all my receipts and then manually entering them in Quickbooks. A friend of mine showed me Veryfi and I really liked the idea. I use it for 3 months now and really like how smoothly the app works and how I don't have to go through the pile of receipts at the end of the month.

Cons

I would appreciate if there would be a faster way to launch the app's camera directly. Kind of like when I press just one button to launch a phone camera, I would want to do the same to scan my receipts.

Was skeptical at first; now convinced it's the best receipts / expense manager for small business

My overall experience with Veryfi has exceeded expectations. As a small business owner with invoices and receipts of all different shapes and sizes, I was quite impressed by how quick and accurate the OCR software was in Veryfi. I was originally skeptical of using Veryfi as it wasn't a proven name in the industry like Expensify, however I am glad I made the choice to use Veryfi as it's far better than its competitors for my purposes.

Pros

The software is highly intuitive and easy to learn. The process of uploading receipts, editing previous entries, or changing a vendor name, follows a familiar flow nearly all smartphone users will feel accustomed to. What I enjoyed the most about Veryfi are the certain features I never had on my list of requirements (or thought to be important) in an expense manager but turns out to be extremely...

Cons

Not sure if this is Veryfi's issue, however the integration with QuickBooks online can be improved. I never get the confidence of whether a receipt has been uploaded and matched on QB, aside from the green QB logo being red. If there was a better way to bulk manage expenses and how it's uploaded into QB, and what it's QB status is (ie. matched, no match, amounts not matching, etc) that would be helpful.

Pros

- I like how I can organize my receipts project based as we work heavily project based on accounting and finances. - I like how easy the integration between Veryfi and Quickbooks Online, which is our primary accounting software. - I like how quick it is to scan a receipt. I've tried demos of many other apps and Veryfi is by far the fastest and most accurate option when scanning receipts as the machines work for you, not people as in competitors. - I think it has a very fair pricing.

Cons

- Tax syncing is not always accurate from the receipt. Sometimes I have to manually adjust the correct tax amount.

Pros

Best value for money of all the ones I researched; free and paid. Catches the edges of the receipt. 85% to 90% accurate for what I need. Even scans receipts for incoming funds.

Cons

Incoming funds accounts not setup yet but they are working on it. There is 10% to 15% of receipts that I might have to edit, either immediately after scanning (very easy and no big deal), and some I edit after uploading to QB Desktop. Most the income accounts, but now and then it will put one into uncategorized expenses. Still no problem as at least it uploaded rather than forgetting about it!

Easy to take photos and load receipts. I liked being able to categorize with the names that I preferred to use for my expenses. I could add "tags" too which was helpful if I wanted to track a particular client for example and determine how much I spent on that person, or that property, for example. *Please note that while I selected my use as "monthly" I was using it monthly and then didn't use it for about a year, and I'm wanting to get back to it (I've been paying for it and QB this whole time and not ieither one, fully).

Pros

I used this software for a couple of years, and the only issues I had were logging income so that an accurate P&L could be created. The developers worked with me and my CPA to correct the issues we were having and I really appreciated their responses to our concerns. Overall, my CPA recommended that I switch to QuickBooks. I did, but it's been not easy to use, has poor customer service and is overpriced and too "busy/cluttered" for what I need which is simplicity because my business is simple. I wish I had kept up with Veryfi's expense tracker, because changing programs is not easy to do even in a simple business. I would recommend Veryfi for sure! I think they even resolved the issues I had in the past.

Cons

Back when I was using it regularly, the income option was reversing numbers and not accurately representing P&L reports. I think the developers corrected this since then.

Pros

I like that it automatically sorts your purchases, organizes them, and even tells you what you may be paying in taxes and more.

Cons

It was hard to use unless you have daily experience. It can be hard to navigate and sometimes things get crossed.

I have many receipts and expenses that are much easier to categorize with Quickbooks Self-Employed.

Pros

I can scan receipts or even forward email receipts, and the software reads and deciphers them and links them to my credit card expenses that come in once I have linked them. It is much easier than doing it manually.

Cons

On the Android phone, if I want to go through the past expenses, it is hard to look for something specific among them all. You can sort by a few different categories, but you can not easily filter them the way you want. Also, if the receipt is crinkled, sometimes it won't recognize the edges of it.

Would like the ability to separate the merging of cc by cardholder. Would also like the layout and some of the function to emulate a platform similar to apple.

Easy accounting, keeping track of expenses and holding carefully onto all receipts, as well as simplifying taxes

Pros

It is as easy as imaginable with the categories showing up quite clearly and it is simplicity. The pricing is incredible as well

Cons

There were not that many options with categorizing elements of business use and expenses. I also had some challenges linking my Business account though I do not know if this was because of a fault in quick books system or not
