Easy accounting
The tool is fully customizable. Everything can be changed and modified to fit your business. Their customer support is amazing.
There was some hassle to find stuff that we wanted to alter on the tool. We got ir figured out after talking to support. If we could have found a way how go do it, it would have been a lot faster.

I've been using it for 5+ years to invoice my clients.
I love that I can keep track of all my invoices, let clients pay with credit card or PayPal, and send invoices customized with my branding.
Honestly there's not much I dislike about it. Of course I don't use it for accounting, only invoicing, because it has limited functionality with accounting.

It makes complex accounting simple.
Billy provides a simple solution for accounting that is specifically designed for freelancers and agencies. It has a great user interface and is very easy to use. It is solid and I have never had a problem with.
The fact that key features have taken so long to evolve. I am talking about no PayPal integration and the fact that bank syncing has only just arrived in my country. The most annoying thing is that whilst key features are lagging behind the team are investing users money in having season Billy logos designed, which quite frankly is ridiculous. Their community management needs work as well.

Simplification of the accounting process
The simplicity of use. The interface is intuitive, I like the invoices generated clean and sleek design.
The price is a bit high for my current use. Wish could get ability to generate receipts or send invoices marked as paid

takes a bit to learn unless you know accounting software. For someone who uses pen and paper, changing over was a little slower than I would expect.

Efficiency, more tools/resources to manage my accounting more thoroughly
It's very easy to use. It has all the features I need to successfully manage my accounting, it even helps me to manage it more accurately and efficiently. I have to say the customer service is exceptional and they helped make the transition from QB to Billy seamless.
Sometimes there are a few extra steps to enter data that I'm not used to but once I learn the flow, it's pretty easy.

Great software for start up or small businesses!
Billy is a great hassle free accounting app. It is very easy to use and becomes more intuitive as you use it.
It is very limited for a growing business that will eventually need more comprehensive accounting reports.

I've used quickbooks, freshbooks, xero. Billyapp does fill in the gap, but some extra features (mentioned in the cons) will make it #1
Simple and fully functional accounting & billing system that has multi-currency invoicing
Doesn't have recurring expenses, unable to generate customer statements, unable to apply a discount % or amount in an invoice. Website is not mobile responsive. app name "billyapp" sounds 'Naff', when i tell clients to check their email for our invoicing system sent from "billapp"... Could I use my own custom domain or you use another domain to send emails?

I have tried many different brands of accounting software, and Billy works the best for my needs. It's easy to use, has great support, and makes doing my accounting much easier than I experienced with other software.

Smoother accounting process, and I'd assume a better experience for my accountant next year!
I like that I can easily see open invoices, and when things are due to be paid. I also love being able to track my expenses, and that everything is in 1 place vs. several spread sheets.
When I try to search invoices by number, for instance, the information collapses onto itself and I can't read unless I refresh every time. Could this be a Mac bug? Not sure if anyone else has mentioned. I also use in Chrome, so maybe I'll try another browser.

Setting up and getting started was super easy. We use this software for a retail store selling appliances, so lower volume of transactions a day makes it super easy and to track customer purchases.
Simple to use and easy to get started. Great simple accounting interface with all your necessary reporting
No inventory management if you need it. Would like to see a PO module in the software in the future

I amsaving money compared to my previouse accounting package, but this is much more simple and streamlined.
I find the software very simple and basic. It does exactly what I need it to, with no complications or awkward stuff. That being said i am an accountant and I know what I'm doing - might be a little bit too basic for a total beginner....
Billy is still very much in start up phase, and not everything works exactly as I would want yet, although I think they are heading in the right direction. Over the last six weeks or so I finally managed to connect my bank account nd transfer transactions automatically - once I manage to connect my Paypal account too I will be in heaven

I have had a reduction in stress and cost to do my business accounting because of using Sunrise.
This product is way simpler to use for the average small business owner than other, more costly and more complicated accounting products. Everything is very intuitive and easy to understand.
I have had repeated issues with integrating my bank information to the software.

Regarding your bank sync issues, we recently launch an integration with Plaid, which we believe will solve a lot of bank sync issues. I like because you can send recurring invoices and quotes and have your bank accounts in accounting all in one
Haven't really found anything that I like least about it but I am working to learn more about the app but it is easy to comprehend

Using BillyApp for over a year now and we are very satisfied so far with its performance. There have been few issues here and there but sorted by fast support.
Ease of use of available features; accounting section is pretty good too and certainly creating expenses based on uploaded receipts is a plus.
Needs number of features: customer statements, better VAT handling for Irish annual Trading details return

Fairly easy for a non-techy person to get into and once set up makes the accounting process so much easier (almost enjoyable).
UK bank sync took time and I had to enter data manually.

Simple invoice creating. We have an accounting software in the background but that one is not that user friendly for invoicing customers.
(We don't use the accounting features so the focus is on the billing features). It is very easy to create a professional-looking invoice and share it with the customer instantly via email. It's simple to use, user-friendly and self-explanatory.
One feature that I would like to see is that I can go to the products overview and see all the invoices that have one of these products on it. In addition, it would be nice to be able to select certain products and bulk-change products (for example, increase pricing on all items selected by 2%).
