It makes my invoicing very easy, I can keep up with customers and their billing without spending too much time.

Pros

WHMCS offers a variety of features, as billing & invoicing, large number of integrated payment methods, customer support ticket system, integration with CPanel, selling domains and hosting packages to your customers and much more.

Cons

Related to functionality everything works fine. The only downside: updating is a bit expensive, 99.95 USD/year.

Easy to manage billing systems

Overall it's a streamlined and intuitive billing system that makes managing accounts, invoices, and other billing tools easy and fast.

Pros

A wide variety of search features and functions for locating accounts by any number of metrics is very useful for customers who don't know their account details or have mystery charges we're searching.

Cons

Sometimes it's a customer ordering for family who have separate billing details but they help setup/manage the account, or business accounts end up together that shouldn't but are managed by the same office manager who uses their email, etc.

Turnkey automation solution for Plesk and cPanel with a wide range of third party modules

You install it, you forget it. It's completely automated.

Pros

Customizability, first grade support, import/export features, the new upgrade-in-place feature, invoicing features, the new marketplace.

Cons

cPanel features are a bit more refined than Plesk that we use, the cart procedure could be simplified.

Generating invoices on it's own is a huge time saver for me.

Pros

It's easy to generate invoices and accept payments.

Cons

Also, when setting up a client, or generating an invoice, you have to save twice.

Depends on What You Use it For

I don't mind it for customer billing, and maybe offering third party hosting through it, but for website building... not for me.

Pros

WHMCS offers a lot of functionality with billing and customer products.

Cons

Hard to integrate your product packages and capsules into a WordPress website without using a couple of workarounds.

Very bad customer support.

Pros

Easy to use software but same time very bad customer support team.

Cons

I finally reported already to your team that it was a bug in your own WHMCS app that it was having collision with ticket number and thus ticket were not imported. Your team never helped and 13 days wasted by me over this concern.

Simple enough to make sure the user has an easy time accessing the many features easily. 2.

Pros

Very efficient accounting features i.e. invoice generation, email setup and SMS feature just to mention a few that once configured with the proper cron jobs allow for easy and professional host-to-client communication.

Cons

Most of the best add-ons are not free and require constant renewals. The branding of the system (but this mostly depends on the license purchased). It should consider the uprising businesses (SMEs).

Auto invoicing is good.

Cons

Basic items like the credit card update should be easy to do and not require the initiation of a support ticket taking hours or in our case many days to resolve while invoices wait for updates to be made.

Pros

A wide range of payment methods are also available and the software can be used for development licensing too which is pretty cool!

Cons

It's difficult to find a negative when considering WHMCS. Years of development by a dedicated team and community has results in significant improvements. My only suggestion would be to improve its development licensing system. While it works, there are improvements to be made. However it is worth pointing out that this isn't the standard purpose of the software.

WHMCS - tricky to navigate

The interface is outdated and needs to be more modern

Pros

Most of the functions are available however its very limited unless you install additional API's or plugins which are very expensive

Cons

I tried to integrate Freshdesk and WHMCS but the add on is pricey and limited to the amount of data that can be viewed in Freshdesk belonging in WHMCS

Tenemos muchos años trabajando con ellos , pero hace algún tiempo cambiaron las licencias por la cantidad de sitios que administras es el precio que pagas sin importar que ya tenías tiempo con un precio fijo , nos incrementaron el precio por manejar más de 1,000 sitios. Es el único problema que hemos tenido, los detalles técnicos son atendidos muy rápido

WHMCS (along with WHM) completely automates the ordering, account setup and hosting services of several of my clients, leaving them free to respond to support requests and develop new products.

Pros

There are a multitude of third-party modules available, offering just about any features you may require (such as CRM capabilities, or specific payment gateways).

Cons

The update process can be cumbersome, particularity if you have customized the product in any way, however the support for WHMCS is very good, and usually problems are easy to deal with.

Terrible product

It is a real challenge to deal with WHMCS on everything.

Pros

It does integrate well with cPanel and domain registries.

Cons

There are so many issues with WHMCS, including support. Also there are now additional sneaky fees that were not agreed to. We purchased a lifetime license and then WHMCS discontinued the license, increased prices 800% and offered no refund. It is very poorly maintained software, full of bugs and the support team is well below par.

Decent Order Processing System - Functionality needs work

WHMCS is great for smaller start-ups, but lacks the functionality to grow with a company. Invoicing is extremely limiting, and the errors we encounter have left us needing something different.

Pros

It's easy to learn initially and is a one size fits all for the *most* part.

Cons

There are lots of billing flukes, such as phantom invoices generating and incorrect customer information displayed on the wrong accounts which can slow down productivity.

Our software is template based and text is controlled by a flat file, so the unpaid notices on invoices can be customised.
In version 7.7 we re-vamped the search functionality, so we can now search by lastname firstname.

They sell domain registration modules that do not work properly. Instead of fixing it, they deprecate it. It is ridiculous. Ux and support is a nightmare.
