Pros

I love the app and gives me accounting on the go. Helps me track invoices and profits with ease.
The ease of use and reputation are by far the greatest part of this product. In addition to this, the range of potential integrations is fantastic.
Really easy to submit expenses, categorise them and check the progress of you submitted expense - super easy to do all from the app.

Pros

I now have a better understanding of HIPAA as well as my staff and have the confidence I have been looking for.
I found it to be very organized. It is time efficient and I appreciate that when it comes to things like this.
What I like most about this software was the ease of use and how fast we were able to implement this program into our medical practice.

Cons

There are no delivery notes/packing slips. They tout a "workaround" but be warned, it's exactly 10 extra clicks so it's really not an option if you need this feature.
Our main complaint is that Xero stopped doing payroll in 2018, so now you have to pay an additional fee to a payroll processor such as Gusto.
Changing accounting software from Xero is a horrible experience. They make it very difficult to pivot to other software.

Cons

Any issues that others had were due to user error.

Some of my clients use Xero. It's very intuitive, and make reconciliations a breeze! Errors are easy to fix. I think this is excellent accounting software for small businesses.

Cons

Able to convert from paper-based reporting and have accountants, clients and data entry clerks all access xero with different security clearances makes tax compliance a breeze.

Pros

I love the cloud-based software and the way you are able to control who can see what and how. The reporting is just outstanding and enabled me to make some fantastic financial decisions looking from the past into the future.

Cons

When entering data into a box it goes off and searches a list that you have previously entered and this can take a little while to load up and then if you have a couple of near identical listings it can continue to select the wrong one. For example, having RD1 and RD10 in the payee list can cause problems.

Generally, this software is great and I would recommend that you look at this software when choosing an accounting software.

Pros

Xero has great training and customer service. The ease of use and the ability to get trained and work quickly is a big advantage. Xero can be a great option over QBO and pricing is good.

Cons

I had a client who lives in Missouri and had employees, I could not just use Xero because that state was not available at the time. Of course, there was an app I could use. The client did not like that he had to pay for an additional service. If you have food industry clients there is not a good app for food inventory for restaurants.

Cons

The quality of the software is not great. It is very easy to have errors and mistakes. There aren't many safeguards to stop this from happening. It also does not have very good reports.

Overall quite happy with this software but like every software it isn't perfect but gets the job done.

Pros

Easy to maneuver and find what you are looking for. Ability to have multiple entities linked to the one account, for example a subsidiary or management company.

Cons

Customer service or lack thereof. Reporting functionality is not great, you can get some add ons to Google Sheets that work but you also need to pay for those in addition.

Cons

When you need help they only way to get ahold of customer service is thru their online portal. Expect to wait hours, days and even weeks to get a response. Don't hold your breath that the response will resolve your issues.

Pros

Has been an intuitive experience. Able to reconcile transactions quickly and bank feeds are reliable (no need to reconnect type issues). Quick rules to auto-classify recurring transactions are nice time saver.

Cons

Not many concerns. Wish there was an annual discount. But overall serves our needs without problems.

Good All Around Alternative To Quickbooks

Powerful accounting software but still relatively easy to use compared to other accounting software, They also have a large ecosystem of 3rd party integrations.

Pros

Much easier to use than Quickbooks but still provides powerful accounting and bookkeeping features. Also offers more integrations than Quickbooks, which tends to wall off their software for the most part to keep you in their ecosystem. Provides a good balance of invoicing, expense tracking and accounting capabilities.

Cons

For some reason they still lack recurring payments on invoices, which keeps me using Freshbooks for invoicing. While it's easy to use, if you have never used accounting software, there is still a learning curve involved.

Pros

Xero overs over 500+ integrations that make any business owner's life easier, while allowing their business to run much more smoothly. The ease of use and learning curve are far superior to most of the competitors. If you are big on customer support, Xero will not disappoint.

Cons

While Xero does offer a mobile app, it could definitely use some work. Also, software updates seem to be few and far between.

I cannot recommend this product, if you needed to contact support for an urgent request you are more than likely going to be left completely unoperational.

Pros

An easy to use software that provides good basic features. Software is usually trouble free.

Cons

Customer support is virtually non existent. You need to navigate to an online form and once submitted you wait with no acknowledgement that your request has even been received. Wait time is measured in days - 3 days it took before our last support request was answered and then it was obvious the support case worker had very little understanding to the issue raised which. Great accounting software

Great software, price is affordable for small businesses.

Pros

I think that Xero is easy to use and setup, and the UI is great for beginners to use. Overall very friendly to the eyes. Funtionality is also great.

Cons

Some settings cannot be customized and seems to be hardcoded. A manual workaround has to be implemented but no too much of a hassle.

Be A Hero, Work With Xero

I only used the software for the trial period before switching back to Quickbooks, but this software does the trick and is more fun than most accounting programs.

Pros

I enjoyed the ease of use with the software and that it's geared more towards visual learners. It's the most fun accounting software I've ever used.

Cons

Sometimes you get too caught up in the ease of use and the fun and you just accept the numbers the software gives you. Always double check the work.

Pros

EASE OF USE/EASY NAVIGATION SIMPLE/ EASY TO UNDERSTAND REPORTING TEMPLATE COST EFFECTIVE- AFFORDABILITY BEAUTIFUL DESIGN/ARCHITECTURE

Cons

Assigning roles to users is not comprehensive enough. Raising of adjustment journals not available to users except the Accountant. Subscription payment method is not friendly. It does not allow subscription payment for more than 1 month.
