My client needed to quickly deploy a simple subscription-based membership system and ZoHo Subscriptions totally fit the bill. It provided a test environment identical to the launch environment so there was little in the way of post-launch bug cleanup.

Pros

Cons

The non-API deployment is a bit limited in terms of collecting any customer information that's not part of the default data.

it's like invoicing and bill collection all in one.

Pros

We like the ability to process all our payment and that is it integrated with ZOHO CRM.

Cons

we know immediately whether we are funded but the invoices still show outstanding when they are not.

We use this everyday, and are continuing to build upon it. It integrates directly into Zoho Books which makes our bookkeeping super easy.

Pros

You can set how each customer should be billed and how often.

Cons

We love it, but our main gripe about Zoho Subscriptions is that you only get one Hosted payment page for ALL of your products and plans.

Pros

Interfaces well with Zoho Books accounting software.

Cons

Don't really dislike anything about it. If we had to be picky, you have to leave Subscriptions to go into other Zoho applicatons like Books or Inventory

Saves a lot of time!

Saves us a lot of time.

Pros

It helps us to eliminate manual billing. Subscriptions takes care of EVERYTHING - coupons, addons, thank you for your payment, card failure and card expiring notices, and prorate invoices.

Cons

It would be nice to have more than one hosted page layout option. Also the setup for the hosted page can be somewhat default, especially adding addons.

Very solid subscription service, honest, reliable, doesn't demand a percentage of your sales, but simply functions as a reliable subscription management service.

Pros

This is a highly competent subscription service, more features than we could possibly use, and we get to use our own billing. Many subscription services also want to do your billing, or getting a percentage of our sales, charging more than our bank, and then they "own" our customers, which is a deal-breaker for us.

Cons

But every time we've had a genuinely poorly designed thing on Zoho's end, they listened and rolled out changes within a few months.

Keeps track of all subscription start and stop dates, and provides easy metrics.

Pros

Easily handles billing for recurring subscriptions, without having to remember to send bills each month.

Cons

Hard to view details of multiple subscriptions at a single client. All subscriptions are listed exactly the same way, so it makes it difficult to find the specific one for which you are looking.

With Zoho, we are able to manage all aspects of our product's subscription services all in one elegantly designed place.

Pros

There is a great product dev team behind this product that is eager to get any issue resolved in a proactive manor. If you find an issue, they are sure to help you find a solution.

Cons

It would be nice if it integrated into other accounting platforms such as Xero or Quickbooks, especially in the US.

Pros

Its also wonderful how it auto syncs with Zoho CRM without having to build an API.

Cons

Pros

Robust and fully-featured API 2.

Does not currently support a custom billing page. However, the support team worked with me to create a hosted payment page that looked like it fit into my signup process. 2.

Good Software but poor support service

It's good to have a subscription software but API integration delayed a lot, our tech team tried their level best to contact and complete the integration but it took 8 months to finalize the task and now subscription period is over without taking the proper benefit of it.

Great for automating payments from clients

Great for start ups and small businesses who are trying to keep a low overhead. Their customer service is nice to work with, I usually would just chat with them or send them an email because I am familiar with using online software. For someone who isn't tech savvy they do have a call in option.

Pros

When we first switched over Zoho subscriptions were the only tool that could email multiple reminders to the clients prior to the billing renewal which I feel is great for subscription services.

Cons

The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't do a one time payment easily.

Great for my Renewals !!

Overall a great solutions that works really well , don,t have anything really bad to say about it ... does exactly what it need to do !!

Pros

Set it and forget it , i would not be able to function with the amount of subscriptions i have , Zoho take the hard work out of the management

Cons

No being able to change a subscription easily once set up , also not being able to change a customers Vat Rate , i have customers in different zones and if they ask to change from GBP to USD i have to create a new account
