We are saving time so that the provider doesn't have to order new x rays and it helps the clinic in saving time on having to call and get the report.
I love that the finding of the CD you load onto Ambra is easy and that the search tool and finding images is such a easy process.
What I like least about Ambra is the time that it take to load a CD. Sometimes the system is really slow and it also will say error listed. I would have to take it out and retry but sometimes that can be 3-4 time before it works.

My experience has been great. I can get the images loaded and up on the computers for my doctors pretty quickly.
I like how easy it is to use. Everything is self explanatory.
I wish sometimes it would load quicker but it all ready is pretty fast. Most of my issues fall with the computers I use and not the software itself.

Experience is okay - it gets the job done.
It is very reliable and allows radiology studies to remain in the system for longer period of time (6 mos I believe). Uploading information is very easy, which is good for our patients.
I am not able to see whom the studies were shared with and when.

Easy upload of images for patients. Easy to extract images from ambra into our epic system
Shared images that are emailed to you that they are uploaded usually the links sent do not work. At times images are not loaded properly

1. Simplicity in function 2. You can download any CD with images (xrays, CT's, MRI's). 3. Images are available for future visits
1. The images are only visible for 6 months and in some cases the original images are going to be needed for comparison past that time.

The biggest benefit we as a facility have overcome is how to share images between our facility and another facility very closely associated with us without having to share PACS systems or send CD's constantly. Ambra has allowed us the flexibility to remain on our own PACS network, but still offer the other facility's providers quick access to their patient's images.
I like that when we share or receive images from other facilities, we receive those images quickly and without errors.
I would like to see reports associated with images sent to attach to the images. I'm not sure the logistics of this or if it's possible at all, but this would be a nice feature.

We can upload for review, all specialties within the Ambra system can review images. This saves physicians time, it allows more time to be spent with the patient rather than uploading a CD at the appointment.

It's been ok, not great.
Images stay on site for 6 months. Fairly easy for both users and patients to upload images.
Lag time when signing in, makes you click again and get back to sign in page.

The ongoing technical support is outstanding and the ease of use and setting up the system is second to done. Ridiculously easy, I'm not sure why more institutions are not going this route.

Amber has great tools. I work in Orthopedics and a good imaging program is essential. Ambers provides almost all functions that I need to interpret x-rays.
It can be buggy at times but most of the kinks have been worked out since adopting this program.

When it loads, interface is easy to utilize to view and manipulate images
About 1/3 of the time, after logging in, a nearly blank screen appears instead of a search bar to query an image. If you log in and out a couple times, the problem typically resolves

Frequent frustration every time a test or image is shared through this platform. There is never certainty that a test can be entirely seen
availability on line, 24 hours access (in theory)

It's fairly easy to use. Patient can upload from home.
It would be helpful if the imaging facilities can upload the images directly into Ambra instead of burning a disc for the patients. Patients automatically believe that discs are mailed to us.

All of Patient's images are at the bottom of the screen and you can access them without going back to the main screen. Easy to edit and send images
For our practice we download alot of CDs from other facilities and that process takes a long time. We have many complains about not being able to give a patient their images on a CD. Making CDs doesnt always work and takes a long time to do.

We are a small hospital in the Florida Keys. A large number of our patients are here on vacation. They go home then want a copy of their images. We get phone calls every day asking for images to be sent. It is very convenient to send through Ambra rather than making CD's and mailing. Patients are happy to receive the images so quickly also.
It is very user friendly. Most of the technologists here are able to use it. We have a lot of different information systems we have to be proficient on and it's nice when one we don't use every day is user friendly.
I wish there was a way to know when the recipient has the images, maybe an email back to me informing me it has been received.
