able to set up system to take guesswork out of hands of average employee (scheduled activity mapped to correct document and proper billing code) encompasses scheduling, billing reporting in single system

Cons

While not absolutely perfect over the seven years we've been customers, problems that arose have been addressed vigorously. The management of the company is interactive and engaged with their end users.

Pros

The simple schedule-keep appointment-link to document-bill each day workflow works for clinicians.

Cons

The interface is dated compared to programs like Microsoft office or web sites like Gmail.

l like to ease of use for staff to schedule clients and document in records and billing out for services.

Cons

Carelogic has taken a long time to improve the treatment plan and it should be more configurable and report view is not easy to read.

the fact that you can mange the rules and reconfigure forms as needed. but the most impressive is the Quality elements and tools supporting compliance and aleret management.

Nothing really. The once clunky plan of care has been reworked and we have been provided a new tool that is much stronger.

Pros

(2) Customizable "Alerts" (with canned items for 'Failed activities', 'Missing/Unsigned' documents) allow each therapist and their supervisor to monitor incomplete documentation and encourage timely completion to facilitate billing. (3) Able to create your own documents and workflows and work them into the standing CareLogic system in ways that fit your workplace. (4) Scores of 'canned' reports to allow data to be tracked in meaningful ways. (5) Ability to organize homepages for each staff member (and/or at an organizational level) to get quick visuals on key items (upcoming appointments, performance targets, system messages).

Cons

(1) Pentaho reports - customizable report writer tool - is complicated. (2) Message Center (internal email) does not allow for 'deleting' emails, does not maintain a 'sent' folder, etc.

Pros

all billing is made easier since there is only one location to find it, when it comes to billing out and posting payments

Cons

denial reason must be manually entered from ERA file. So its a few more steps to get those denials worked on.

Keeping good records for clients and for Corporate offices

Pros

Great clinically captures information needed most for clinicians . The workflows for clinicians is simpler then in other programs I have used.

Cons

Some of the processes seems unnecessary and could be more workflow efficient.

I would like to have more modules designed for nurses.

Pros

It is pretty user friendly once you learn how to use it. I like that it can be accessed from more than one computer. I like that you can enter info and as long as you hit "submit" it will save and you can go back later and edit before you sign if needed.

Cons

I sometimes have trouble logging into DrFirst from the "manage medications" tab in medication management. I can't open two screens in chrome, which means I have to toggle back and forth to find information I want to copy from one place to another.

I like being able to pull the majority of the reports into excel, as that is the only way I can actually get the data that I need from them.

Pros

Most of the billing and AR features work as intended.

Cons

The reports vary from moderate to very slow to generate, which is especially frustrating when trying to close the GL every month or run reports for analysis.

The client charge is electronic and anybody across the agency at any location in the state can view (if they have privileges) the client's medical records or financial account.

Pros

I like that they recently made it possible for us to run the claim engine for a client.

Cons

In the Activity to Procedure mapping, after 2 years of mapping, it would really be helpful is there was a search help find the needle in the haystack of mappings.
