Pros

DrChromo has a good payment plan compared to other similar EHR which helps to save money. It keeps improving its functionality.
I love the ability to take templates that other users have created and then edit off of those. Also like that square is integrated with it for payment.
The feature we liked best was auto posting of insurance payments. Also, the reporting package had great flexibility.

Pros

The overall experience has been wonderful and I am grateful we made the switch. Wish we would have done it sooner.
Like I said prior, the program is easy to navigate, input, and search for information. Overall, this is a great program to use I would recommend this program to another facility.
Very easy and intuitive, nice flow. You don't need your own server, as you use the internet for connectivity, and I find the speed to be quite good.

Cons

Its handled by auto generated scripts and it only gets to a live person via email, not a phone call, when the problem is out of hands and escalated by an irate consumer.
Pushy salespeople, bad experience with sales and billing staff, expensive. Took 6 months to integrate billing software with clearinghouse, poor follow up with customer service regarding this process.
We are just finishing the contract but we will not renew. This is very difficult to use and it’s very useless for medical spa.

Cons

You are putting your business at severe risk of bankruptcy. Absolutely do not let KAREO do your credentialing.
I usually am not that pained by a Software enough to go and write reviews but I would definitely Suggest everybody keep away from this product. Their service is the worst ever.
Templates are difficult to create and difficult to edit. Customer support is terrible.

Great for clinicians, bad for business

Reviewed 5 years ago

If I had to use it just from a clinical standpoint I would offer it in a heartbeat. It doesn't have a robust enough reporting feature to analyze performance from analytics standpoint.

Pros

From a clinical standpoint, Dr. Chrono is great. It is very customizable, easy to use, both with a computer or an iPad.

Cons

It is not possible to run billing analytics for multiple sites as desired. There is no live customer support- you can wait hours or months for a response to a problem.

Very happy with my decision when we launched Dr. Chrono in January 2015. It's been a great experience. Everyone on their staff has been kind, courteous, and prompt when answering any questions/concerns I have had along the way. Will continue to do business with.

Pros

Portability, ERA billing functionality, customer service, organic iPAD apps, easy to navigate, iPhone scheduling,

Straightforward EHR Management

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

We utilized DrChrono for a client in March of 2019. The software itself is user-friendly and engaging, which makes up for the lack of robust features. The mobile app is definitely a plus. I could see myself being happy with using this again in the future.

Cons

Even though I would not complain if I encountered another client utilizing this software, I would be remiss not to mention that I would prefer some of its more feature rich, user friendly contemporaries like Kareo or Therapy Notes.

Great EHR system!

Pros

This EHR system is user friendly. It is very customizable and the software developers are continually working to make it better. The support staff is great and they always respond to the problems we have quickly.

Cons

I wish that with the reports being so customizable there was an option for Age. Age is really hard to find on any patient without being in the demographics or in the clinical note itself.

Gets the job done

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

The scheduling, eligibility, and billing features are easy to use. Price is very reasonable for features offered. Implementation specialists and staff handling EDI enrollments are very helpful, general support leaves much to be desired. It is a good value for an EHR that offers MU certification and electronic billing and payments.

Cons

The software does some funny things. It seems to be working ok, and then strange glitches in the system occur. There are certain processes that require double work such as: problems listed in the clinical note do not auto populate into the patient's problem list. The chart and clinical notes should communicate with each other. The general support staff will rush you through a call if you need help, which makes me feel as if they are not concerned with resolving my issue. This should definitely be fixed, as good daily support is very important.

EMR is full of glitches and issues

It is not efficient enough and does not save time.

Pros

The price is reasonable and it has a clean appearance.

Cons

The EMR is HORRIBLE. It is not streamlined and you have to switch screens too often to document and find clinical information that you need. It is highly inefficient. The patient portal is HORRIBLE. Patients do not want to use it because it is so user UNFRIENDLY.

Amazing ability to have all services in one program- billing, coding, scheduling, inter-practice messages and on top of that all, the customizable templates and assistance with such are invaluable. They too both increased insurance collections (through advice of billers on clinical documentation) as well as better time management.

Easy to take clinical photos with iPhone or iPad. Simple form builder/template builder tools do not require advanced computer knowledge to customize every option one might need.

Simple, Powerful, Intuitive, Affordable

Reviewed 6 years ago

I am a family physician in private practice. I have been using EHRs for almost 2 decades, and DrChrono for over 5 years now. DrChrono's developers are constantly evolving and improving their product in response to customer feedback. Their customer-support and training staff are excellent. They have a great library of short "how-to" videos for self-training. DrChrono's subscription plans are very affordable, and I have found no other EHR that offers more bang for the buck.

Pros

•ease of use (intuitive user interface) •all physician and nurse documentation can be done from iPad •built-in speech-recognition •easy to customize templates •large library of templates •continually updated "how-to" videos on their YouTube channel as new features are rolled out •friendly, patient trainers and tech support staff •extensive Mayo Clinic patient education resources •optional comprehensive medical billing services

Cons

•The name. DrChrono is just embarrassing to say, and I can't make myself write it in all lowercase. •100% cloud-based (which generally is WAY BETTER than self-hosting the data, but if your ISP goes down, you are essentially back in the stone-age) •clinical decision support features are inconspicuous and difficult to navigate •knowledge-base articles are sometimes out of date •Mayo Clinic patient education resources are not well-indexed

Love this EHR!

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Our providers and office staff have loved Dr Chrono from the 1st week we've used it. We are still learning all the in's and out's but so far, its GREAT! They have allowed for lots of customization and the training has been very helpful. The Support Team we have from Dr Chrono has been so helpful. The respond to emails quickly, they touch base on their own, they return calls within the business day. It's also so great bc it's cloud-based, the providers or staff can schedule patients, make clinical notes, check AR, look at the live claims feed, etc from the office, home, hospital, on vacation...

Cons

There are some things that are NOT customizable that make the workflow not so awesome. For example, we are a General Surgery office and regularly need to schedule a patient for a Recall visit for 1, 3, 5, and/or 10 yrs. There is no way to add the patient to a Recall list (ie: all patients that need a recall visit on September 2019). At this point, we are only able to add a flag to the patients chart and search by that flag. It will build a report pulling ALL flags but no way to organize by date...so that sucks. Dr Chrono does have a reddit style up thumb/down thumb suggestions space so maybe the Recall issue will get built if enough providers want it.

Amazing and Intuitive EHR System!

Reviewed 7 years ago

I have used many EHR systems In various offices and have been extremely frustrated with them all. Drchrono is simple and not only is the EHR amazing, but the billing software is a life saver too. I don't have to double enter our information anymore into 2 or 3 different systems and I can keep track of where exactly all my money is actually going or not going. I know our doctors also really like that it's on the iPad so they can take a clinical photo and draw directly on it to document the patients pain points. Overall, it's a great system and I know our office will be using it for years to come.

Transitioning to Drchrono has been a very positive experience. The staff are exceptionally nice, and support you through learning how to get on board with their EHR. I love the iPad features. Being able to take a picture and upload it directly in to my clinical notes has added a dimension to my documentation that I never thought would be possible. It has been so great to use the iPad while talking to my patients and it puts my patients at ease, as I am able to talk with them easily as I do my assessments. Their billing has been easy to use and has improved my practice tremendously. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a cutting edge EHR that is always improving and rolling out provider-focused features.

Customizable, but lacks richness of features

Reviewed 5 years ago

This still feels like a relatively young product with great potential. The price is very appealing. There are lots of bugs in the system and kinks that need to get worked out. It can be a challenge to get through to folks who know what they are talking about. The basic support is only good for incredibly simple things. If a bug in the software is detected, it can be a nightmare to get through to the right person to actually correct the problem.

Pros

-Ease of changing documentation templates on the fly- I can update the way my practice documents quickly and easily -Cheap -Relatively intuitive user interface -Simple platform does not require extensive training for new users -Growing and developing product: drchrono has made consistent updates and improvements in the last year, and I expect them to continue to improve over time.

Cons

-It is difficult as an administrator to "push" customizations such as medication favorites or folder structures for tasks being worked by back office staff to users. You have to log in as the user to make these kinds of updates for each staff member. -There is limited ability to link and report on data inside of the clinical note. -There is no calculating of scores (such as PHQ9 or other screening...

I used it to keep patients records for some time. I learnt that it was useful only if the problems are removed.

Pros

It is available on ipad and has a web version accessible everywehre. Relatively cheaper than the competitior (drchrono) Was free in the past so this one is only a good feature of the past (which allowed me to test it) I really appreciate they have finally added patient messaging improvements to the ipad version

Cons

Least things happen automatic almost everything is manual (even lacks autosave for notes) Messyness throught the experience only for small or medium set up so i can not recommend to the hospital because of the lack of support for cordination at such a level Only works with online pharmacies in the US (or atleast not in the country where i work)
