We have enjoyed every bit of our transition to DrChrono from a server based EHR. They have been accommodating, thorough and incredibly kind as our team of 30 learns a whole new way. We are big fans of drchrono EHR and the whole drchrono team!

Pros

Cloud based; awesome support team and thorough onboarding; comprehensive reporting; intuitive interface; fast workflow for intake and documentation; comprehensive revenue cycle management; credentialing support for new MD's

Cons

Still some visibility challenges in the schedule that could be improved; simplified navigation to patient ledgers would help workflow; would like the ability to integrate docusign type elements

The most extensible and best value EMR on the market

Over the last seven years, I've seen a progressive improvement to an already excellent software platform and have considered myself lucky for starting with DrChrono from the beginning. I wouldn't be able to run my office without it. I couldn't imagine my office without it.

Pros

The API integrates into several third party apps that extend the capability of the system beyond the base system.

Cons

Occasional outages, worsening performance in the live claims feed for billing, and schedule performance issues recently.

Think 'Practice Fusion' with a billing/practice management component built in.

Pros

the system itself if very fast, it is ipad ready with their own app, implementation is very quick; completing an encounter note is fast and easy

Cons

very light on advanced features and automation; very few vendors in their app market; not very customizable. Not too bad for a small practice, but I can't imagine using it for a larger practice due

Problems from day 1

Fancy on the surface, but a hellish ordeal once you actually start using it. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Pros

The practice management side - scheduling in particular - is well thought out.

Cons

During your sales call, FORCE them to demonstrate what you're looking for. We received numerous, "and then you'd just click this and it would work." "You'd just click this item (in a template) and it would do this fancy thing." Unfortunately, the thousands of promised templates do not exist. Template tools are very, very weak. Calculations (if statements) are not possible. Implementation was nightmarish. They have literally (I asked) no written plan for implementation, which drags the implementation out interminably - making it very costly. Tech support is outsourced to a foreign country. "I'm unable to log in to my account from any computer from any browser," was my issue. "Have you tried clearing the browser cache?" was the response.

Scheduling is very simple. Enjoy being able to access from any of my devices.

Pros

Scheduling, financial tracking all very easy to use. Chart notes for office visits fairly simple, although I don't use any of the templates provided

Cons

Navigation through a single patients records sometimes complicated--often easier to re-enter patient name and start over Photo management is not good.

Our use was primarily for billing, so we can't comment on the EHR part of the system, but it appears as friendly.

Intuitive user interface Consistently fast response iPAD/iPhone Friendly Export of data is easy and fast Easy statement management

Cons

Price is higher than others. Compared to a Kareo/Practice Fusion combination the price difference is $/month more.

Cons

Servers are sometimes slow, no cost differential for low volume providers, only one integrated credit card proecessing vendor, with higher than average fees.

Pros

My patients love receiving the email and text reminders and, as a result, I have seen a tremendous improvement with compliance!

Cons

The development team spends a lot of time listening to my suggestions and has improved their program based on my feedback. Any problems and suggestions I have about their product are quickly reacted to and implemented.

Intuitive, provider friendly EMR, easily customizable Good revenue cycle management software that allows me to easily analyze how our practice is doing Cloud-based, works anywhere on computer, ipad, or iphone

Cons

There are a few things that don't work as well going from a solo provider to a group practice with multiple locations and providers Little differences between computer and iPad versions are a little bit frustrating

For being a chiropractic specific software, the software lacks specific features that would make chiropractic documentation more streamlined and easy for compliance and reporting. After a short demo, we decided to go with a different chiropractic DHR software

Pros

This software has great features for uploading your own sheets and papers that you can then draw on while creating chart notes and documents.

Cons

Though the software is one of the less expensive options out there it did not give us intuitive teachers in our field for easy use and documentation compliance.

I have had several ocassions where it was a challenge to get an individual on the phone due to the time zone change... They're based out of CA and I am in CT and I start early AM.

It seemed clear to me that DrChrono was invested in listening to customer feedback and making updates to better serve their clients. Each page provides a great deal of information.

It may be useful to note that emails sent through Dr.Chrono to patients are not HIPAA-compliant.

Overall, I don't think there is a platform that is a better "value" for your money from BOTH a practice management and charting prospective.

Pros

The clearinghouse is built into the software, which is their best feature. It is easy to use and new providers can be trained in hours (that is correct).

Cons

Billing is not as easily accessible as other areas (a few more clicks than is needed).
