This is a great app that can save time and make your team more efficient All the process get streamline and all your staff would treat each client the same way!
You have to make a habit of opening karbon app first thing in the morning and get everyone in to the same tune as well If one team member is not working on the app properly it is hard to track and pay per user could be quite expensive. So nothing wrong with the app but with the commitment of using

It’s a one stop shop for organizing your work. You have your work, tasks, contact information, and all of your clients in one software.
It has to be set up perfectly, or exporting data isn’t as user friendly.

I really love the email triage feature and this is what drew me to the product in the first place. Works really good for people that work from there email lots.
I'm still in the beginning stages of learning the product but I'd like to have a way to bring in more communication streams in the same way as email into triage. I have clients that message me via sms, whatsapp, telegram, etc. Now I have to paste those conversations into karbon which works but.

I like that the app looks great, it has really great potential to be the perfect project management software in the future. I use it as a checklist for all my work items. The client task option is also great for reminding our clients of outstanding items we need from them.
It's slow to load your work and sometimes work gets lost in the To-do's if they aren't assigned correctly by your colleagues (which is common when we are really busy). Karbon is willing to take our comments and ideas into consideration and always have great customer service.

Karbon is the answer to all our problems. We have struggled with other software in the past. We have always found we needed to change the way that we do things to fit the system, rather than the system suit the way we do things. With Karbon we don't need to change anything. It suits the way we work. It has a huge amount of flexibility without being so flexible you don't know where to start. You just get started and go from there. There is no huge learning curve and even if you do need help the Support is fantastic.
None. There is nothing to say other than positive things. Even if there were some the Karbon team are very approachable about new features or tweaks.

Our team is more productive! They're spending less time sending emails and more time organizing their to-dos. We feel organized as a firm by being able to find client emails, assigning to-dos to each other and easily managing our work.
The most impactful feature is the cohesiveness of Karbon. We needed one place for our staff to send emails, enter their time, and track their work. We used 3 different apps to do this and Karbon combined all of them for us. The Client Task feature Karbon offers is my favorite. You can set up recurring monthly requests for your clients and it sends reminders on your behalf.
Karbon is robust, but with time you will get used to it. The onboarding was super helpful and seamless. We loved the support we had along the way.

I love the support Karbon has to offer. I love the work templates that allow our work flow to be consistent among clients. And, I love focusing on work instead of email.
It takes a while to get used to focusing on task management instead of your email. However, it's worth it because you become more focused.

This is a great tool to manage communication and projects. It is constantly updating to meet our needs and customer support is always available.
It might be nice to sort or search your triage in different ways (only because I don't clear my triage as often as I should).

I seriously don't know why it took so long for me to take that leap and use Karbon in my business. I can't imagine how I would run my business without it. Saves me so much time and I know exactly where each client is up to at all times
The only thing I don't like about Karbon is you can't schedule your emails to be sent at a specific time of the day, apart from that, Nothing

Really good system... which is the next step if you used Trello and Podio etc... it is backed by some great people who respond very quickly... brings method to your practice.

My only con is there is not an app for my phone YET. I know this is coming though! I can still log in through a browser.

The workflow management using Kanban just makes it so easy to see what needs to be today, tomorrow and in the future. Workflow templates are an awesome way to get organized and allow for an efficient way to get client work done. The checklist format in work templates is great, one of our staff setup a complicated payroll for a client via a template that now anyone can go in and do that client's payroll without wonder if they missed something. Definitely a must have app for accounting workflow.
No custom fields ability, we send out birthday cards to our clients and we can't keep track of that in Karbon at the moment. Email scheduler so we can do up an email and schedule to send it out later. Email templates would be a great feature too.

Allows for a highly organized system for all facets of your business. Having the ability to delegate and assign work, check on the progress of each task by creating checklists, and have your email filtered in so that nothing is overlooked has been immensely helpful to our business.
I suppose depending on the size of your team, it can get expensive, however I do believe the benefit and time savings would outweigh the cost. I would also like to see a better notification system when checklists have items left unchecked for more than the duration of the job post. This would help prevent steps being overlooked or ignored.

Overall we enjoy the product, we use it to manage our projects, time and communication internally. It has been a great addition to our practice and has allowed us more efficient onboarding, ease of access to information and is a great collaborative team tool.
Karbon helps our firm stay on top of work items and allows us to share items between colleagues while avoiding lengthy email chains. Its a practical approach to creating standardized work, assigning tasks and having accountability. We love the integrations with other software applications that we use, it has truly made our workflow smoother and more transparent for the whole team.
Sometimes we don't necessarily want to create a new work item- Like if we were visiting a set of client for a marketing initiative- we would want to record the visits but would like a way to do this without creating a work item.

Karbon has improved the efficiency of our company and centralized most of our processes all in one place. Checklists, client details, projects, work assignments, it's all in one place. There is now no question on who is performing what task and responsible which project, and all the information we need to perform our tasks is right there. I highly recommend Karbon to any company that want's to grow and make things easier for themselves!
It will force you to re-think how you work, which is the entire point! If you think this is a con, take it as such, but for all of us who are looking for a better way to work, Karbon is for you.

Being able to send automated emails and checklists to clients with reminders is absolutely brilliant You can also create you own templates and roll them out with different timing for each task i.e. after creating the task another task can be due 2 days after which is great
Hard to see a contact task list as the screen is locked about half way down and when you have recurring tasks these are created for about a month so if you say had a daily task and others it’s hard to distinguish between them

Karbon allows total transparency across the entire practice allowing us to maximise efficiencies and streamline processes. We couldn’t work without it!
We love that all emails are shared with the entire team and that at any one time we can also view the status of any piece of work. The checklists for both our team and our clients are also revolutionary in terms of the way we work.
The reporting functionality is lacking. No calendar view of tasks.

Helps me keep track of everything I need to do for clients. My tax business exploded this year, and I was losing sleep thinking about everything I needed to to, keeping spreadsheets, notes in One Note, emails... Everything in separate places. now I can bring most of that into one central system and I love that when I send a request to a client, Karbon: 1) sends them reminders so I don't have to follow up, 2) can add automators to change the status from "waiting on client" to "Ready" when they complete assigned tasks etc.
Learning curve. Also, when I add a template it adds a long list of todos. My To Do list gets cluttered really fast, but I suspect there is a way to manage this that I haven't figured out. I've only been using Karbon for a few weeks.

Practice management, staff management, job management, email management - it delivers all that I wanted in one app. What I would love is if the time tracking integration was not limited to tsheets as I have tested tsheets and it is more of a payroll focussed time management tool as opposed to a billing tool or tracking of job efficiencies tool - I would prefer if this integration was expanded to include...
I am constantly writing out "to do lists" and then I get to the end of the week and I need to consolidate those lists to make sure nothing drops off - with Karbon I always have my to do list available and up to date. I also enjoy the fact that i have better control of my e-mails and previously where I forwarded a mail to a staff member by way of delegating it to them i had no way of checking that the mail was attended to unless I added it to my to do list - whereas now I can add it to their to do list and monitor whether or not it was completed
there is a quite a bit of set up involved in terms of getting the work templates in place but that is to be expected I guess - although once set up those work templates will serve as a sort of process manual so it kills two birds with one stone - its just where I am a small practice the time taken to get all set up will take longer as it is only me setting it up in between still trying to manage practice and keep up to date with client work

TRIAGE - LOVE IT! you only read an email once, action it (assign to yourself, someone else, respond or create work), none of this reviewing the same emails as you constantly try to clear your inbox. You then work out of your TO-DO list and you even get the satisfaction of ticking items off the list The TRIAGE and TO-DO list help your own personal workflow/daily schedule but the "work" in Karbon is so easy to see at a glance what everyone is up to. We had someone really sick for a week and in the click of a button we reallocated the work, and all the correspondence with the client was attached.
Not really a "con" just an area to continue to improve - Emailing out of the triage is good, and they keep adding features, but it doesn't have all features of gmail etc it works well for most, but the attachment limit can catch you off guard sometimes but i know they are increasing the attachment size.

The Karbon employees are amazing. Helpful and friendly. Also, Karbon offers quite a bit of general support to help run an accounting firm, from weekly webinars to an online magazine and blog they seem like they are invested in your practice in general. This support has been helpful on numerous occasions!
The best thing about Karbon is the automation that is built into the existing templates and the ease at implementing it into custom templates.
The biggest challenge with Karbon is the time it can take to learn the idiosyncrasies of the software. It sometimes seems counterintuitive but if you take the time to learn the software things will make sense.

I feel more organized and feel more comfortable communicating with all clients.
The best thing about this software is the triage. I feel like I can have a big picture of everything that is new or going on at the moment and quickly peruse through all of it. That way I can set priorities for the day and me aware of everything going on in the firm. I feel like nothing slips through the cracks.
Sometimes I have to go back to my gmail, for example, when I have to download multiple attachments. The "download all" attachments does not work for me. That can get pretty annoying. Additionally, this software needs full commitment from the whole work team. If someone does not use it fully, it does not work as well.

Karbon is a flexible kanban style project management app that provides a visual way of seeing the status of various work items in process. I like that you can move work items between kanban columns with a simple click and drag feature. Also, the Karbon team is constantly improving the app and rolling out significant improvements on a regular basis.
Currently, Karbon does not integrate with other apps. I use a third-party app to integrate the apps in our processes, and it would be helpful to be able to pull Karbon into this type of process development.
