Pros

Nevertheless, it is a powerful system and a joy to use. I highly recommend Elation EMR for a small to medium sized practice looking for an easy-to-learn, easy-to-use system.
We tried two other EMRs before purchasing Elation and the difference between Elation and the other two is night and day. Elation is easy to use, intuitive, and helps us to be more productive.
I'm thrilled with all aspects of it and have been recommending it to every colleague who asks me which EMR to try. Fantastic product, great customer service.

Pros

Data is easily accessible from everywhere and backups are generated automatically and efficiently. The ability to access old versions of backups is especially helpful to never lose progress.
Solid file and database backup feature. Versioning is built into the product with customization of schedules and standardization across customer base is excellent.
Very good customer support, and useful online backup function.

Cons

Unhappy only with mostly provider service when ongoing issues and cannot speak to live person. And lack of follow through on options such as online booking they had explicitly stated upon signing up.
Terrible customer service and no one takes responsibility.
I have been trying to deal with this problem since early May and it is now July 13. Incredibly frustrating and I would not recommend this product to other physicians.

Cons

The load of functions can be overwhelming, especially with all of the cryptic abbreviations. Honestly though, this is not a real con, but rather my own problem.
Lack of support SQL Server 2017, Difficult to review backup manage stats vs billed amounts.
Inability to RESTORE to "another location" OTHER than the local C: drive of the computer you are administering from.
