EpicCare Pricing Reviews

Pros
  • It does just enough to not be annoying. The dot commands are good and allow sharing among members. But that's it
  • EpicCare really helped us when we needed it most. When you need comprehensive, value driven organization this is the best!
  • Full access of all parameteres and clinical data (outpatients , inpatients, past encounters, medication) for a really cohomprensive insight at a glane and at a finger touch
  • I have seen both the business and user side of Epic. As a CNA, and nursing student, I have been using Epic for sometime. I love it. As someone who has also used other EMR services, I can say with confidence that Epic Systems is by far the easiest and most customizable. It does take time to navigate, but all EMR services do. Epic has great support, its easy to use, and has great customizable ability.
Cons
  • Our team had some difficulty onboarding but this was quickly resolved with their excellent tech support team!
  • EpicCare EMR is pricey. A lot of hospitals don't use Epic for that exact reason. However, it is well worth the price.
  • Server based. Always updating, too many contexts to switch between. Also it is expensive. I am using this during fellowship, but won't again.
  • If anything, too many function and degree of complexity for advance features that you can ignore but gives a feeling like you are missing something and not using at its full potenitality Cost

Overall, Epic is the best EMR I've use to date and would love to see it used in more hospital settings.I have seen both the business and user side of Epic. Epic was overall a decent software program to use but definitely had its downfalls. Customer support was definitely lacking and took forever to respond to questions. It was generally easy to use and was a decent value for the money.
