The initial training with amanda and samantha was great... BUT took forever- so many phases. I was not ready to go live and should've listened to my intuition. So much wasted time and once we were live, nobody could help with the billing portion. I feel so ripped off. I bought into the cult of Genesis and it was such a horrible experience. It took months for my biller to clear out the mistakes and transfer the billing to our new software. They are still charging me $99 for the privilege of accessing our information for patient info. I canceled it and will now call my credit card company to block the charge. We now use Chirospring and it is amazing.
The soap notes were fine and easy to create, but that is all I liked.
the billing was horrible- confusing- so many steps.. the support was non-existent- had to submit a ticket for everything and nobody got back to us. The "higher ups" in the company are clueless. Nobody could support our billing needs and the software was SO EXPENSIVE. They wanted us to do in-house billing with them but that was triple the price. I have been practicing for 22 years and I have never been so upset about the amount of money wasted on this software. Office ally, a very affordable program, is so much better than this!

The benefits I got from this software were greater quality for less cost. The customer service has been amazing and each of the Genesis employees are here to help us at the drop of a hat. We benefit from the speed and ease of use with no loading times. This decreases the length of time spent on the phone as well. We're really enjoying it!
Genesis was offered at a lower cost than some of the other chiropractic software programs and I personally believe its quality is better than some of the other chiropractic software programs. It is so fast! There is absolutely no lag when you take an action, almost as if the program is being done offline. I also like how there are so many features to track patient data and schedules.
I like the least how it feels as if there are more features than necessary. I can see how 70% of the features can be used, but the rest 30% only seem applicable in rare cases. My team and I use Genesis for scheduling patients for Exam visits, Adjustments, Reports, Rescheduling/Canceling/Scheduling, and many other type of visits as well as checking on the patients' care plan and finances. This is still only a small portion of the software as a whole, but that's all the features we regularly utilize. Big learning curve for a lot of features, but I haven't used many of the features I was trained on because I haven't needed to do so.

We started using Billing Precision (Genesis) when we opened our clinic in 2011. I don't think we will ever switch billing systems for Chiropractic. I am a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kind of person.
Ease of use. Real time visibility of claims. Affordable.
I wish the capability to send DME claims was better, but it still works and gets up paid. Just wish it had an easier option to attach the required documentation when sending DME claims and the ability to track it, but I know Genesis is working on improving that feature as I type this, so thankful for that.

You can make this product as simple or complex as you want. You have support that actually gets back to you. You have a whole team behind you helping you with all aspects of running a practice to dealing with insurance carriers, to keeping patients on track. I have never seen such a comprehensive system. I love that you can customize many features to fit our specific needs. I am also impressed that they have monthly calls, if not more, with practice profitability coaches to help you get the most out of the system and to keep stress levels low. They keep there system compliant and make the use of the new coding system a no brainer, they have done a fantastic job of allowing us to work in the practice instead of on the practice.
I am on the west coast and they are on the east coast, so having a 3 hour time difference sometimes delays answers to questions.

My overall experience has been amazing! Any time I've had a frustration they have addressed it imediately and solved my problems quickly. I am truly always impressed with care and attention they give my clinic, even though I am a very small clinic. I thought you would only get this service when you were running a big clinic!
I absolutely LOVE the functionality of this product! The training team was suburb at implementation and they continue to surprise me with how dedicated they are to making sure we are getting the most out of the system. I have been using Genesis for just shy of a year and the billing team has already helped me improve my billing and collect more, and I couldn't be happier to have those items off my teams list of 'to-do' items!
I honestly hated the cost the most.... at the beginning! When I first learned what this software was going to cost me, I thought I'd never be able to make those payments EVERY month. But what I can say now is that they have saved me money and helped me make gains in my collections and I couldn't be happier! The only big thing I think they could improve upon is their patient intake forms. The patients have a great online portal to fill them out on but it is not mobile friendly and that's difficult for a lot of my new patients coming in.

We've been in a fast paced, multi-doctor practice for 17 years. We have been able to keep our staff and overhead low using Genesis and a streamlined approach to maximize business profits and patient care. We've used Genesis for the last 13 years and have been thrilled with it. We have recommended it anytime we've been asked about it. It just works and it works well for all our needs.
Ease of use. Schedule to reschedule to documenting why patients can't make an appt. All around easy to use platform that is quick and efficient. This is huge when having a fast past busy practice. I love that I can drill down into every single claim and know what has been done by the billing team. If I have any issues I can respond directly to that claim or easily open a ticket which is answer promptly. Great. Love how it integrates seamlessly with many different apps to help with Credit card payments, monthly auto payments, auto appt reminders, etc. Lastly, I love that it is cloud based. I can log in from any where at anytime and work on my tx notes or see stats.
There are no major cons. It is easy to use and integrates well.

My overall experience has been ok. I was a little disappointed that when we took our billing in house that the system was not compatible with other clearing houses. I actually thought about leaving this software platform for another because if was priced a little cheaper and had better ease of use.
Lot of features. Can create a compliant note. If you don't have a good billing person in house it does provide a good platform to get you up and running quickly.
The system too many features and use of the system can get really confusing. I hate the training videos. The training videos are very slow and take too much time to watch. It would be more valuable to have a training seminar in a physical location that could answer all of your questions live and also have the presenter get you up and running.

Scheduling is simple and user friendly. Readily seeing when patients miss an appointment is easy. Submitting tasks to the Genesis team is also simple when you need help having someone explain or walk you through a process.
Doctor SOAP notes actually take a significant amount of time to enter unless you spend a lot of money to buy a set up previously designed by someone else. The Billing Team is expensive and they tell you how much they'll work on your behalf, however since they get paid off of what you actually bill out, they have not been motivated to actually resolve issues for us. It's taken our office spending hours on the phone with insurance companies to get detailed answers and remedy situations. Also, when the Billing Team causes an error they blame it on the "user" which is the doctor's office. Finding and printing reports are not user friendly.

Excellent product. You pay for quality. If you don't have complicated, detailed thorough notes you can look elsewhere and be all right.
It can be customized to your liking to fit your practice and integrates with so many programs to seamlessly create a reliable file. They support some great organizations in the industry and profession unlike some other companies. Decent speed to do routine notes.
Cost, as far as I know it is the most expensive EHR software that I have come across.

It is my EHR software. I can do my billing and notes all at once.
It is easy to write a note and submit to insurance. It has many features that allow me to integrate other software I have.
There is simply too much to know and the training is poor. The initial start up training is woefully inadequate leaving you to learn everything on your own. I simply don't have the time to put in to getting better at the system so as a result I don't use most of the functions available. The system is also expensive.

Ease of use, Integration with other apps, Customer support, Training, Value. I cannot say enough how much I like this software system. It is crystal clear what is being paid (and what is not) without having to run a thousand separate reports. It's all done for me!
There is a bit of a learning curve (as there would be with any new software) but once you are used to how the system functions it is amazing.

Working in billing for over 18 years I didn't realize there was another way - I was trained to "react" to the billing cycle as it worked through. I never imagined that there could be a "proactive" solution where an EHR company would actually invest in the full cycle to the extent that they would be able to intelligently predict payer response to billing and code combinations. This system appropriately...

Notes take only a small amount of time to complete. Easy access to your schedule. Can set scheduling reminders for specific patients as well.
Would like it to send text message reminders to patients without being an added cost through a different company. Doesn't integrate with very many credit card processing companies.

I like that the software is built for chiropractors. I have been a client & using their software for over 9 years! In addition, it is extremely helpful that the software is internet-based - I can log-in from anywhere to access my clinic account, therefore I don't have to install an expensive server network in my clinic for my whole team to access. Furthermore, I like that Genesis also offers additional training & webinars on relevant chiropractic information. For example, the trainings on ICD-10 were fanatastic! I also watch every webinar to learn the latest in our chiropractic profession.
None that I can think of. If we have any isssues, we open a ticket & they are resolved in a timely fashion.

That I am able to edit the tabs to make it very fast to do all of my notes. I also love that if I have a question someone gets ahold of me within 24 hours. I also really like how many different types of reports I am able to generate to keep track of how the office is doing.
Price. It can be a little tricky to figure out how to do certain things. There are some things I'd like to do with payment plans that I am unable to do on the software. It gives me all of the insurance reminders for private pay patients.

This is a full featured ehr. Does everything you want it to and more. Easy to use and the input is quick. Do a soap note fast.
So expensive. There are other options out there that do a lot of the same things for less.

I have been practicing for two years at the expense of other doctors learning and using their software/systems but going out on my own with Genesis has really made me feel good and appreciative of what they offer to their customers. They have a great team that is consistent and always willing to work on your time and pace, even until you fully understand the program. They modify and provide exactly what you need, and if they currently cannot, they will find a way.

All updates are included. It is easy to use and compliant. Support is included in the price.
That occasionally it seems that they switch to new people on my billing team that don't know what to do. The information is in the patient's account and they do not even look for it. This has happened only a couple of times in 10 years and every time they have solved the issue and corrected it quickly.

Tracking tasks is so easy, nothing gets lost along the way--and no more sticky notes! We also like the online availability--look at the software from anywhere and anytime.
Cost-thats about it. I guess we will need to start using it more to be able to come up with more cons!

Implementation with POS system and insurances. Easy to use macros.
High price for program you will never own. Other programs are a fraction of the price. Even though I feel Genesis offers more than other programs, the jump in price between the two almost made me switch.

The fact that I gave up and decided to use something else. My experiences with this product were SO bad, that I went with something else.
Everything: ease of use, support, cost, design, etc. There is nothing even remotely intuitive or straight forward about this product.
