Healthland Centriq overview

Healthland Centriq is an electronic health record (EHR) software hosted in the cloud, designed for use by physicians in rural and critical access hospitals. With physician and nurse work centers, patient charts, medical history, financial, ordering, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and emergency department applications, Healthland Centriq offers users facilities for both clinical and financial management, alongside its electronic medical recording capabilities.

Healthland Centriq’s Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR) give users access to a chronological view of all medications administered to a patient, and automatically alerts physicians to any potential drug interactions. These alerts are also present in the pharmacy module, with additional features including order coordination, administration, and charging. All finalized prescription orders are automatically included in the pharmacy profile, and in the patient record and eMAR.

Healthland Centriq’s radiology application is suitable for both film-based and film-less environments, and offers users order processing, automated charging, and image tracking capabilities. The laboratory application also includes task automation features, for both order processing and order tracking, in addition to automated quality control tools for lab tests, and the automatic addition of lab results to patients’ records. These results, as well as any abnormal vital signs, can be managed and monitored from the physician work centre, along with unsigned orders and transcriptions.

Healthland Centriq also offers users a module for use in the Emergency Department, with facilities for patient registration, ordering, documentation of patient care, medication interaction alerts, and checking for any remaining open orders when care is transferred. Users also have access to a range of financial tools for both general and patient accounting, including accounts payable and receivable, patient billing, insurance processing, and collections, attendance tracking and payroll, materials management, and more.

Pros
Very customizable. You can build your own assessments. Build your own drug library. Multi factor identification with medication administration.

Cons
Lots of rework is required. When you enter information in one are, it doesn't populate in other areas. The quantity of data required to input is often disproportionate to the situation.
