HomeCare Accounting Solutions (HAS) is a cloud-based software for small to large home health agencies that provides tools to help manage patient care and compliance by streamlining workflow, billing, scheduling and point of care.

HomeCare Accounting automates the back-office and clinical field operations of home care agencies whether they are Medicare home health, private duty home care, hospice, or any other unique program. The system is flexible, customizable, and scalable, and enables users to manage multiple services with a single patient record.

The patient intake features include referral tracking, admissions, discharges and a complete diagnosis code database. Users can also access an extensive medication database that provides knowledge on interactions and side effects, including custom teaching sheets.

Scheduling features include patient and employee calendars with the ability to assign staff based on a variety of criteria. Users can generate various reports from referrals and admissions, to accounts receivable and Medicare costs. HomeCare Accounting meets all PPS billing requirements and enables Pre-Bill audits for compliance.

We needed a billing software as our software was no longer available. We like the integration into our EMR, but we are not happy with the program itself. The program seems outdated and doesn't allow us to work in a way that we are happy with.

Pros
It is integrated into our EMR and they provide the support. We like and value the support from our EMR.

Cons
Changes in the AR affect prior months, even though we have already closed those months. We do not feel this is good accounting principles. Due to this, we are having issues reconciling the month end closing reports. It has been a continuous issue since we started. We were told this is not something that can be changed.
