Our use was primarily for billing, so we can't comment on the EHR part of the system, but it appears as friendly.
Intuitive user interface Consistently fast response iPAD/iPhone Friendly Export of data is easy and fast Easy statement management
Price is higher than others. Compared to a Kareo/Practice Fusion combination the price difference is $/month more.

appreciate that as small single provider in part time practice that monthly cost is reasonable, if it was much more expensive, i would be tempted to go for some of the free services available for electronic billing, prescribing, etc
that EMR, electronic prescribing, electronic billing, in one easy to use program, especially like how with electronic billing, patient statements are automatically created once insurance pays their portion, makes billing very easy, cost effective compared to billing service
delay in getting customer service, no ability to get immediate answer to simple question, would like more already created templates for psychiatric practice having to click on each item for standard MSE in physical exam takes more time than i like

I've been very lucky to use drchrono since the beginning of my practice and since drchrono first began, they have made the whole paper process online. I've seen them from the beginning when they were just working on the idea and to where they are at now, with all the feedback they got from healthcare providers. They still have a long way to go, but this company is awesome because they are so ahead of the game.
The billing is awesome!
They still have a long way to go, it's not that they don't have the idea... The physical technology itself is not up to parr with their ideas and innovation.

We utilized DrChrono for a client in March of 2019. The software itself is user-friendly and engaging, which makes up for the lack of robust features. The mobile app is definitely a plus. I could see myself being happy with using this again in the future.
Even though I would not complain if I encountered another client utilizing this software, I would be remiss not to mention that I would prefer some of its more feature rich, user friendly contemporaries like Kareo or Therapy Notes.

Great Software. Inconsistent customer support, pushy sales people
Comprehensive integrated system, allows for efficient patient care. Software support is generally good and responsive.
Pushy salespeople, bad experience with sales and billing staff, expensive. Took 6 months to integrate billing software with clearinghouse, poor follow up with customer service regarding this process!!!!

As easy for front office as it is for back. Easiest billing software. Set up billing templates and save tons of time.
Ease of use. Anyone who can use a smartphone can use drchrono. From scheduling to back office it is super easy!
Wish there was a phone number to call for support rather than just starting online. Sometimes would like to just start by talking to a person.

Overall, it has greatly improved the way I run my practice and I don't even use all of the options.
The billing software is easy to use and has made in house billing much easier. Once you have your macros and templates setup they are very user friendly on iPad.
There are some slow times. Customer support is not available by phone, but they do get back to you promptly.

I am very unsatisfied by the quality and responsiveness of your customer service, hence reason for termination. Basically, Dr Chrono has no customer service. Its handled by auto generated scripts and it only gets to a live person via email, not a phone call, when the problem is out of hands and escalated by an irate consumer. For that one year of service I had, i probably had 7 account managers, who change without notice.. The Lab Integration part took you about 6 month to install, feature that I was paying for from the very beginning.
Easy to read and write notes, many promises in the beginning that were never delivered.
Poor onboarding process. Incompetent staff, unauthorised billing, security breach, non- existent customer service.

Overall it really isn't the solution we were hoping for. Wish we would have stuck with our desktop software. Would have save so much expense, time, and have all the features we now are without including reminders, online scheduling, and clear reports.
Its online. EMR. Using the Apollo plan makes outsourcing billing easy.
Poorly organized. You have to drill down and back up menus to get basic information needed for every patient encounter. Screens are not customizable to get the date you need upfront. Value added features such as text messaging is not truly customizable necessitating paying their 'partners' 300-400 additional a month for the promised service. Similarly online scheduling is worthless because it does not utilize procedures requested. If you have multiple providers / rooms that offer certain procedures it will require your staff to call and reschedule many of the online bookings. This can be fixed with a partner...of course for add on fees.

I switched from a free EMR in May 2016. I make primary care house calls for Medicare insured patients. I needed an EMR that was Ipad/mobile friendly and included billing as well. I looked at many platforms. There are some nice options out there. For me though the selling point was the nearly full functionality on the iPad including an ability to fax right from the drChrono app on the iPad. There are a few things you can't do through the app and so I have to login to the main website to access these functions. I have the Apollo Plus plan and so I do not use the coding services, I code my own notes.
Ipad charting via app. Faxing within the EMR Avis the app and main site Good customer support, especially on the billing side Easy to use billing platform Cost effective compared to other EMRs I demo'd.
The note templates are fairly basic looking (when printed out) and my order forms for lab and X-rays look plain. Could be improved! Can't set tasks/reminders for a future date. No alerts when faxes don't go through.

Think 'Practice Fusion' with a billing/practice management component built in.
the system itself if very fast, it is ipad ready with their own app, implementation is very quick; completing an encounter note is fast and easy
very light on advanced features and automation; very few vendors in their app market; not very customizable. Not too bad for a small practice, but I can't imagine using it for a larger practice due

Very happy with my decision when we launched Dr. Chrono in January 2015. It's been a great experience. Everyone on their staff has been kind, courteous, and prompt when answering any questions/concerns I have had along the way. Will continue to do business with.
Portability, ERA billing functionality, customer service, organic iPAD apps, easy to navigate, iPhone scheduling,
Have been told the price may go up in future years, clinical notes can be better, sales tax feature needs improvement, patient statement function needs improvement

Over the last seven years, I've seen a progressive improvement to an already excellent software platform and have considered myself lucky for starting with DrChrono from the beginning. I wouldn't be able to run my office without it. I couldn't imagine my office without it.
Drchrono is so extraordinarily customizable that it can be modified for any specialty, even one as subspecialized as mine. The practice management module makes billing so easy that I can do all the billing tasks as a solo provider by myself. The API integrates into several third party apps that extend the capability of the system beyond the base system. The iPad first interface is perfect for a tech forward practice. And the price/feature ratio is the best on the market, in my opinion.
Occasional outages, worsening performance in the live claims feed for billing, and schedule performance issues recently.

I bought into the whole program. EMR and billing. Good communication and weekly meetings with representative.
Ipad format has become a very helpful addition to my office. The mobility factor alone to avoid bulky laptops and computers is great. I have 3 different locations and rely on the internet for access. No problems so far.
Some of my patients reluctant to work with the billing service because they detect a language barrier.

I love the billing features. It makes it really simple to do my own billing and track it. The templates are easy to customize. It takes a bit to get it all set up, but once you do, it's very user friendly.
I have had trouble with EHR certification through Medicare. I think it's because I am a chiropractic office and not a MD office.
