Pros

The software is user friendly so that help's me as an Owner to train new staff on billing. I also love the "unpaid insurance claim" report that helps my employees to work the Account's Receivable's.
With a few tweaks to the system (I'd love to help!), coupled with its extreme ease of use and excellent reliability, Kareo EHR could become a powerhouse in the rapidly growing urgent care market.
The best product I have every used and when I need help the service is excellent.

This is a truly terrible billing software with poor customer service. I strongly advise talking with your billers before going down this road.
They will leave you on the phone for 25-40 minutes before getting you some body who will brush you off. You have to figure your problems by yourself or suck it up.
Kareo knew about the problem, saw what was happening and could not fix it. It was yet another Kareo glitch due to the badly executed and buggy software.

I use Kareo everyday in my work and it is good and easy system that make my job faster

Pros

Easy to use, fast ,very helpful customer service

Cons

Need a report that show less detail s , showing only Patient name ,DOS , Total charge and Total paid only without each line of the cpt or adjustment

Took a month to transition us from doctorbase to their kareo software. Here never seems to be a single person that can solve the transition. We were told software was ready to use then told I had to call my dental software company to unlock my data and did not offer sign a business agreement to protect my dental database.

Pros

Nothing positive to say after one month.

Cons

I can not adjust the email and text time frames to what I want. Poor customer support.

Overall is very good system and reasonable price

The posting of payment has no total amount, always need to use calculator to verify if the amount entered is correct

Very confusing system and doesn't show the bills by line item just a total. You can enter multiple codes for billing but to actually look at what your sending out, you can't.

KAREO makes Job easier

Pros

I like the ease of KAREO, reporting ability and the way that it works seamlessly with our EMR software. Also our ability to send out "clean" claims has helped to reduce our payment velocity and reduced the number of rejected claims. Also I the chat support is a great tool to have especially if you are on the East coast.

Cons

Two things that I would to see KAREO change would be having the ability to see visit count on the account and general page. On patient statements, there needs to be a total at the bottom of each column.

Our experience of selecting and adopting Karero e-h-e and PM

Pros

easy to use for basic our clinic operation for e-h-r and Practice management and in compliance on ICD-10 and obama care requirement. The reporting system and the utility to export the required data (payment detail, encounter detail and patient demographic history export, etc) are flexible enough for our IT consultant to organize date in a differenct structure for us to manage the requirement for different e-h-r systems (such as dental practice etc) to support other uses. we also like the flexible pricing options from Karero to meet our clinic's operating model. Customer support is helpful and effective.

Cons

1. Initial start up training and couching service is less effectively, need to improve. 2. we have discovered some very "fundamental" error of the system, reported to the engineer department. although they have ackkowleged they get the issues on their working Queue, but it is over 3 month now still not get fixed. we have to use a working around way to deal with it. this need to be improved from Karero. - I do not want to get too much detail or specific about the issues. if anyone need to talk to me, I can tell them. - there is also a case number created on this issues.

How Kareo works for us

Pros

Kareo is easily integrated with other systems. Setup is easy, and the customer service team will help you along the way. The How-To Videos are also very helpful. The claims go through a scrubbing process before they get to the clearinghouse, so you know if there is an issue right away. Claims get paid pretty quickly; some of my payers have been paying within seven days.

Cons

The thing that we don't like and find difficult is patient statements, and some reports need to be improved. For example, statements do not show what has been paid unless you set it up individually. That causes patients to be confused, upset and need more information for FSA and HSA accounts etc. The statements also do not have a total on the bottom.
