Pros

Note forwarding is a very good feature and and medication auto fill save time. Also like that I can save templates on various diagnosis.
The ease of training, and the xtra trading videos were a big help. I liked the price of the software.
I am the clinical leader and co-owner of a privately held medium sized home health care company. We have been using Kinnser for two years and are very happy.

Pros

The quality of the program is fantastic, lots a great features to access all the informaton needed.
As a physical therapist, I find DeVero very easy to use, they have good customer service, and I'd definitely recommend, especially for therapy.
Super user friendly...loved it. I will recommend it to friends and family.

Cons

But unfortunately after the new version took place everything seem to go down hill. We started having problems generating claims, we were losing data with each software update :( Very disappointing.
Every time there is an update thing go missing from the system. Clinicians are constantly losing their information and so many bugs and glitches.
Support is terrible and rarely responds, and when they do it's normally a condescending conversation. I've used Kinnser for over 8 years and will look for another solution which is sad.

Cons

Examples are faxes failing, reports taking long to load, and problems with Devero not working. In the last 3 months there were times where Devero was down for a few hours to half a day.
There are times where sessions time-out and the page goes back to login without saving my work. That can be frustrating.
Also, having an integrated system , causes delay with data transferring from DeVero into HAS, i have to go back and forth , between systems to get all the data to come into HAS.

Pros

Vendor was very helpful. However I feel that a representative should come out and do a one course on the software. We have a sister facility and was told we could use this software at that location for billing as well. The invoice total is not matching up correctly with client hours. This one of the reason we chose to go with Kinser instead of Clear care.

Would really like some one on one training for our Home Care because we have 2 locations.

WellSky far surpasses the previous software we used a few months ago.

Pros

WellSky for Hospice has simplified managing my patient load and insuring that all of my workload is organized. Charting is simple and easy on this software.

Cons

The Messaging feature does not allow you to scroll through messages while viewing a message. If you receive several messages, you have to constantly back out and view each individual message.

We Love Kinnser

When I joined the company over 2 years ago, I was taught the ropes of Kinnser Agency manager and Kinnser Hospice. I thought and still think that it was very easy to navigate and learn everything I needed to know!

Pros

This is a great product with fast response times and amazing functionality. One click and you are right where you need to be.

Cons

Sometimes it's very slow and customer service isn't very helpful. They have slow response times and sometimes even tell us they are unable to help.

Steep decline in services and support once WellSky entered.

Pros

Easy to use schedule, billing and notes. Flow of the notes are well planned.

Cons

Once WellSky took over Kinnser the quality of support and care for their clients ended. Kinnser was great and did not think of you as a number. WellSky cares more about increasing costs and complicating the Home Health Software. Support is terrible and rarely responds, and when they do it's normally a condescending conversation. Pros

I haven't used such an easy system for Home Health. I have had some pretty difficult systems but Agency manager by far is the easiest!

Cons

I don't have a lot of cons to think of but one I could say would be sometimes it freezes up on me and makes me lose what I was working on but that never really happens often for us. When it does, we just give the technical support a call and they usually just tell us it was a glitch and it should be fine if we log out and back in.

Will the salesman is a great guy. I really don't like much about the software honestly. I thought it would be better for those of us billing managed care and private pay but not so much.

Cons

Billing 2 is a nightmare. Every time there is an update thing go missing from the system. Clinicians are constantly losing their information and so many bugs and glitches. Customer support always tries to blame us for the issues as their software would never do this, well guess what, it did and it does.

Customer service experience is bad. You could be on hold for over 30 minutes and the call will eventually be cut . Even when you leave a call back number, they hardly return calls.

Pros

Saves a lot of paperwork. The weekly eligibility tests helps a lot in tracking change in payer source.

Cons

Navigating patient's home health episode is time consuming especially patients that has more than 3 episodes . It's disappointing that one could not even modify visit frequency on the OASIS once entered, even though not completed or even exported.

It's a good system, but could be better!

It is just okay and I hope the software becomes the best in the future. In my opinion, the software could use a lot more tools and updates for better patient care.

Pros

I like that I can do my job online and have options for keeping up with my work duties.

Cons

It is not a user-friendly software and the site does crash at least 1-2 a months for periods of whole days. If many items/tasks could auth-populate themselves, it would save clinicians and administrators many hours.

In brief, these issues remain: -No auto-save feature ("We're working on one, I've been told." That was 2 years ago.) I don't really lose much anymore due to the lack of an auto-save feature because I have given up with Point of Service documentation and do about 90% of my note at home. It is very difficult to do POS documentation, especially evaluations. The two PTAs and OT at my company do minimal...

Pros

Customer Support is friendly. The software is fairly intuitive and takes very little time to learn. I am a Home Health Physical Therapist using Kinnser/Wellsky Software since Fall of 2017.

Cons

Wow! I have been using this software since fall of 2017. I last wrote a review in February 2018. Of significance, NONE of the issues I had in February 2018 have been addressed. Please see that review so I don't have to repeat the details. Further, the changes they have made (very few from the perspective of an in-the-field-clinician) have made the EMR worse, not better. I AM THINKING OF QUITTING MY JOB OVER THIS SOFTWARE! It makes me very depressed and makes productivity very difficult. I note that very few of the reviewers on this website are clinicians in the field. In my limited experience, most don't like it.

Point of view from a field nurse

After years of paper charting out in the field and seeing other nurses with other companies use computers, I begged my superior to get something like that for us. Shortly thereafter we had our Kinnser system in place. From day one my world was changed! So much easier, faster, and complete. Being able to pull notes forward is amazing. This enables each note to stand alone and the next nurse out gets a complete picture of what's happening. I may write information in the cardiac drop down box, for example. I want everyone who sees's this pt to see this information, but if I had to rewrite it each time it would likely have just been charted on the first note and I wouldn't have rewritten it again. I love this system!

Pros

Biggest pro is pulling the last note, with it's information forward. If another nurse has seen the patient the week before, you see his or her note and have the latest information about what's going on. Being able to update the meds immediately in the home and generate orders and communications immediately on the spot saves tons of time. I feel safer in that I can pull up exact Dr's orders while out in the field. Less middle man communication.

Cons

I love love love the drop down boxes it enables more specific charting right under that specific body system when needed, unfortunately the pain section has no drop down box. This, to me, is a more important area than many of the others to have more room to write. You are limited under all sections under this title so that you are not able, at times to present a true picture and are left to chart what is happening elsewhere within the note. This would seem to be an easy fix. Please add more charting room here and I would be one happy nurse.

I have been using Kinnser for two years and I can't imagine a system that is easier to use or a company that is as responsive to their clients as Kinnser. This is my first experience with an Electronic Medical Record system... or any medical record system because I don't have a health care background. If I can learn this system as quickly as I did, any one can! I cannot say enough good things about Kinnser's staff. From the CEO and down the line each and every person is kind, friendly, skilled and responsive. Every call or email question, inquiry, or suggestion is acknowledged and responded to within at least 24 hours. I would highly recommend this product and this company to everyone.

Use of iPads. The kmail system. There are really no Pros to this product to be discussed. It has been a constant up-hill struggle.

Where to begin. Customer support is awful....they promise to get back to you and then do not follow up so when you call back they do not know what you are talking about. Would highly recommend Devero for anyone looking for paperless home health care documentation.

Pros

Devero is an excellent home health care software for paperless documentation. The features and functionality is very easy to understand and use.The customer support is also very proactive and resolve all minor glitches as soon as it is possible.The Dashboard, Libraries and Custom reports are very hands on and self explanatory.The select an action drop down view is also a very useful tool.This is the most functional and easy software in the market.

Cons

The Oasis-D SOC is sometimes showing fatal audits that are hard to resolve.Some clinicians are struggling in resolving these SOC fatal audits in Oasis -D.

Accurate, Easy to learn electronic health record

It is vital in meeting CMS regulations for our Medicare-certified home health agency.

Pros

It is very easy to learn easy to use on a daily basis. I like that it is web-based and works on laptops, phones and tablets. Care packets ensure the clinician opens all of the necessary paperwork. Love faxing from the software and receiving the faxes back. The different colored dots for each item completed is fun and motivating.

Cons

The custom reports really struggle to be accurate. It has been difficult to get help to look into why this is the case. We have a new customer service person, and she seems on-it so we will see...

Pros

Easy access to Ancillary notes. For the Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist companies who use this software you made the homehealth life less stress. You can pull out the notes any time, or check the progress of patients . Safe and Easy to use.

We are using Hospice software which is based on home health documentation. There is much improvement needed to meet the needs of this separate and distinct program.

Pros

The software is very easy to use- very simplistic in nature.

Cons

There is not a great capability to map information from one form to another easily. Updates take too long. Much of what we require needs to be customized at an additional cost.

What I liked most about this product is that you have a symbol to let you know if your profile has crossed over for billing.

Functional and user-friendly software

Devero software is a spectacular software in home health paperless documentation.It is a very functional and user friendly with no complications. Any inexperienced user will be able to learn and catch on because of its ease of use. The home page has a meticulous spread of useful tools like administration, libraries, custom reports, dashboard ,patient list and State specific forms. The select an action option in every patient chart is extremely useful to mark or unmark specific designations and it is also color coded and eye-catching. I would highly recommend this software to any agency exploring to purchase paperless home health care paperless software or trying to switch gears from synergy or kinnser or other softwares in the market.

I like to customize forms when needed and alter current documents we have to meet the challenging and ever-changing needs in home health. It is great and best to be used in a company that deals with lot of private information.

Pros

This softare accomodates everything that is needed when you work in a health care field. HIPPA is assured and everything you wanted to sort out is there to make your work efficient and organized.

Cons

Sometimes the software runs slow but with their customer service, it is a quick fix.

Home Health Biller

Devero is very user friendly and the Devero team caters to every agency's individual needs and likes.I love the select an action drop down menu that lets you choose you the best option which is very colorful and is a useful reminder. Love the fact that the office staff does not have to create a schedule for the clinicians like some other software. Also love the integration log that tells if why an export oasis function got declined.Awesome web based software which will go a long way in paperless home health documentation.

Review of DeVero Home Health Care Software

Not real thrilled with the support. Customer service when you contact the help desk not the best.

Pros

The product was easy to learn for those who are knowledgeable of home care.

Cons

The support services of the product are not strong. Frequently small updates have been made without our knowledge. I do know that there has been interface difficulties with our billing system. Prior to PDGM you had plan to used us as a BETA site. Per staff involved with this, their opinion was that the company really had not done a comprehensive implementation assessment. Basically it was a waste of time for those involved.

Phenomenal Product and Business Relationship over 3 years

Pros

We use Devero as the centerpiece to our service. Well Care Connects provides therapy care (PT, OT, ST, and RD) to patients throughout California. All of our clinicians log into Devero to write their clinical notes and all of our agencies log into Devero to access those notes. We always hear from our agencies that it's an incredibly straightforward, easy-to-use system- which is great! It allows both our clinicians and agencies to stay organized and up-to-date with their notes, and it's been working flawlessly so far. We work with over 500 clinicians and over 300 home health agencies so far, and everyone loves using the system.

Cons

I genuinely have no negative comments about this product.

Easy to understand software

Pros

Devero has a nice workflow that is easy to understand. It is easy to chart by selecting the type of visit from the home screen, fill out visit notes, and send it on for QA.

Cons

Devero is difficult to use on a mobile phone, which is a problem since our employees are in the field. It's also less integrated with it's companion billing system than I would prefer. 2-way synchronization would be a welcome feature, or some way of verifying entries exist in both systems.

Great for agencies who use outside vendors for therapy service

We are a growing home health agency that often outsources therapy and social services for our patients. With our previous software, we had no way to safely and easily grant access to other agencies to view or add to only their patient charts. DeVero allows our vendor representatives to easily log in and access their patients' charts instantly without downloading any software to their own system or...

Easy to use for Physical Therapy

DeVero is so easy to use! The Home page is well organized and the entire system is easy to navigate with a click of the mouse. I especially like the automatic notifications that remind me of deadlines and timelines that I might have missed otherwise.

Excellent EMR System

Pros

This EMR is very user friendly and the support we have received from our account manager and the support team has been superb. Having the ability to access the software from anywhere and on any portable device makes it much easier for my nurses to complete most of their charting in the patient's home.

Cons

I wish some where down the road the system can track authorization information/warnings. Otherwise I cannot think of any other issues I have with the software.
