We have only recently begun with Nookal so are getting used to the change of a new system. We have found this has been more quick and efficient for invoicing and payments however finding scheduling is now taking up more time. As a clinician, it has been a easy change however I have found it harder to create appointments and invoices.
The transition to Nookal has been easy for our company due to its easy to read format, ability to create templates applicable to our setting and clear headings for ease of access when locating appropriate information. I also like the range of colours, ability to see my own and co-workers schedules. Creating a customisable templates for notes that suits our setting has been a big plus as tick boxes etc have made it easier to time manage notes as a clinician. Invoicing and payments are quick and efficient.
A feature I would like to see Nookal have is ability to attach written or scanned documents to templated online notes. This means notes are kept with the same date and is handy for auditing purposes. When creating a series of appointments if you need to amend or change you need to change the appointments individually. Scheduling has been more difficult.

I have been able to take my experience with Nookal and integrate it seamlessly into my new workplace.
I am not exactly a computer proficient so I love how easy Nookal is to use. It saves so much clutter as well with all letters, scans, body charts etc at my fingertips.
In my previous place of practice the templates were set up by the team leader and it was time consuming to get them to return to adjust the parameters.

Overall experience is very positive and I expect to be using it for many years to come.
The setup checklist made it very straightforward for a new user and the software is intuitive. It has all the functions I was looking for that other software was lacking.
No software is perfect and the DIY import could be improved, as not all patient details can be improved so you have to manually edit each one anyway. Though they will do this for you for a fee, if you have time to wait.

Help team are knowledgeable and very quick to assist when required.
Ease of use for small practice is great. Mobile app is great for quick diary checks. Like that it sends automatic reminders to patients.
Need face recognition for mobile app. Need automated Covid Questionnaire Client Form. I have to send this manually each day.

A++++++ service and excellent program. Ease of use to login from anywhere. Home or office. User friendly perfect for third party claiming. Tech support easy to chat with friendly and helpful in addition to their own help page with tips tricks for setting up various processes - With pictures and excellent descriptions.
Ease of use and sense of humor with developers
Having trouble loading the diary page to fit within the parameters of smart phone screen. If I wish to log into the diary while out shopping and I see one of my patients that wants an appointment it would be good if the dairy page loaded to fit visually within the frame of a smart phone.

With the above exceptions, Nookal as met out needs and is relatively easy to use.
I find the scheduling, planning and invoicing
I wish there was functionality to book two practitioners to an appointment I wish there was capacity to limit booking to line items only that have budget allocated

very easy to use, i can keep track of my patients very easily and monitor my productivity
no i am quite happy, although occasionally the drop down box in the clinical notes section at the top to select the date/time of previous appointments doesn't list previous appointment times - very minor issue

So easy to write session notes and to upload relevant documentation. Great integration with Xero. Easy to invoice clients. Great calendar features.
Sometimes things take multiple steps instead of just one. E.g. to send invoices, have to save invoice and then send.

Good program. Reasonably intuitative. Quick to learn
Very easy to quickly book appointments and take payments. Notes section allows easy customisation for common formats.
Improved body charts would be beneficial - i.e a close up of upper limb / lower limb More objective measures i.e. for low back

Personable service, good documentation to follow to resolve issues and real time chat option.
Colour and templates you produce yourself to what you require and able to send emails from service.
Initially long lag in response that has become much faster. Being in a different country this was important for me as need problems solved at the time I was experiencing them. Still have insurance claims reading incomplete and cannot mark them as dealt with ....distracting as have to open them up again each time to see if have been dealt with in the invoice notes.

Nookal is just easy to use. Its essential software in our practice and ticks all the boxes to run a busy Private Practice effectively. There is always someone help you out if you need it and also willing to take suggestions on for further development.
I love that it is very specific for our industry and integrates really well with MYOB/Xero to make accounting easier.
There really isn't anything that I can find to complain about with Nookal. At times, you need to work around things, but that is really just about becoming more familiar with the software.

I would love to recommend people to use the program, however I have been turned off by the poor customer service.
The ease of use is excellent and it contains a lot of features for the price.
Customer service is horrible once you are signed on as a client. It takes weeks (if at all) for problems to be resolved.

Nookal has been a large improvement from our previous practice management software. There are a number of really good features, however there are some things that need a little tweaking that would make the overall use significantly easier for both administrators and therapists.
Treatment notes are very easy to write. This saves therapists a large amount of time. Multiple clinics with tabs makes looking across clinics very easy.
Updating current therapist diaries has become very annoying. You can no longer edit a current timetable and have it begin from a certain date, as it automatically goes live from the date you input it on. This was not the case previously. This makes changing rosters troublesome and very annoying. The paste feature should not push everything above it upwards. Very annoying when completing treatment notes, pasting something, then having the line above move up to continue on with the paragraphgearlier.

Nookal is user friendly. Onboarding new staff is made easy.
The reporting could be better. The accuracy of data generated from some reports isn’t great.

Working with Nookal is cost effective and frees up a lot of time
ease of integration with ACC, which is essential for work.
inability to switch off the multi paractice and multi disciplinary aspects. You have to live with that. It's still may less than some other packages have.

Is a good software to use in place of other medical recording.
Easy to use. Layout is organised & simple design.
No restriction of access to medical files - reception staff should not be able to access clinical notes.
