Pros

I liked the ability to create my own layouts and favorite encouters to be more efficient. Also like the feature where I can just duplicate previous notes and diagnosis.
I felt I received great personal attention from helpful trainers. Having an implementation coordinator is helpful to keep me on track during the entire process.
I believe it to be as good as any competitor for a fraction of the cost. It is generally pretty self explanatory and user friendly.

Pros

It is extremely user friendly and is of excellent quality. Lets not forget that their team is extremely helpful and always follow up.
There are a lot more positives then negatives. For my money it has been so helpful, it’s like having a dedicated employee for a fraction of the price.
This has been the best customer service experience we have had. Luma has been very responsive and attentive to our needs.

Cons

It is even more frustrating when there is no solution to an error and you have to wait for a fix and put up with the errors until the fix comes out.
The SQL search function is difficult to use. Sometimes we have had troubles with the stability of the software - sometimes it crashes and you have to restart it.
The billing program has to be checked and often rebilled for missing claims. The drop down lists are not optometry specific and can be very tedious to find the right listing.

Cons

This was unacceptable and rendered the online booking useless.
Aside from the usual system lag (may it have been the software or poor connection) I would overall say Luma covers mostly everything a medical practice would need in terms of patient engagement.
Many of these reviews were from patients who had a particularly bad experience with us so we were never able to accurately hear from those who were satisfied.

Changing over to Compulink's Advantage, Addiction has been a good decision. We now have the opportunity to provide significant reporting on the population we serve and deeper financial outcomes to be used for Quality Improvement.

Our switch from an electronic health record, specifically developed for primary care to Compulink's Advantage Addiction that provides documentation around behavioral health has been a good decision.There are few options available in this service field that is as flexible as Compulink. I look forward to more in-patient treatment facilities coming on board so that a consoritum of users can work together and provide additional support.

Pros

Advantage provides an immediate snapshot of a client for easy lookup and editing. Compulink's Coordinator and Trainer has been readily available to all staff to answer to the issues and any questions that come up, allowing for limited downtime or productivity. I am sure as we gain more experience, our utilization can only improve. I expect that Advantage will provide us with the necessary work process mandated by state statutes and optimal business practices.

Cons

I understand Gookomis Endaad may be the first in-patient treatment facility, which has been somewhat challenging to meet our basic needs. However, Compulink perseveres in modifying the product as we gain more experience. There are also some basic modifications that will be shared for consideration to process billing more efficiently. I would also recommend modifications to the training process. A better initial discussion regarding the implementation timelines in layman's terms would alleviate many of the pressures on the customers side, especially when there is limited IT support.

Have used Compulink Eyecare Advantage for my 25 years in practice. It was a very smooth transition to move from the office management into the electronic health records.

It's a one stop solution. It serves as a product for patient communication as well as patient billing, insurance billing, eligibility and remittance. It also functions as electronic health records.

Overall I have been very happy with Compulink. The customer service and support is excellent. One way I didn’t realize the benefit is during this pandemic. Implementing tele health and working remotely was easy. We also modified our workflow using Compulink features to adjust to the situation.

Pros

I am most impressed with Compulink’s focus on ease of use. It is really intuitive and easy to learn.

Cons

Compulink continues to make updates and improvements which is a long term benefit but causes us to make the needed short term adjustments.

Overall, Compulink has made my intergration from paper to EHR an easy transition. However, I feel it's not specifically gear towards optometry but more ophthalmology. I do love the new customer service!!! Always there and extremely helpfull when I needed help. PS: Do you have optometrist consultant on your design team?

Pros

Cons

The patient on-line registration needs to be revamp for optometry. The patient text messaging feature needs improvement. More diagnoses need to be added on the health hx page: too many searches and clicks. I am on the cloud EHR and the Ambir e-Signature is way too slow. I am still waiting for resolution. It's going on 2 yrs now.

We can better track sales and production and save time with patient online registration to maximize the patient history. The data in and out of Compulink to our refracting system ELIMINATES transcription errors for spectacle prescriptions.

Pros

The EMR is easy to use and integrates well with our pre-testing equipment and automated refracting data. Even the standard, non-customized EMR templates work very will with creating "data norms" to make charting very efficient. I am very pleased with the very detailed online patient registration and health history. It saves a TON of time and allows us to show a very detailed patient history if a record were ever audited by insurance.

Cons

The minutiae of adding spectacle lens products is complicated.

Our practice has been using Compulink Ophthalmology Advantage since 2006. We chose Compulink because of the ability to customize the software to fit our needs. The features of the electronic health records are very intuitive. The reports that it can generate to assess how our business is doing are at the touch of a button. Compulink is a valued partner in our organization and we would not be as successful without their product.

I have been using eyecare advantage for over twenty years. I started when they were dos base. It is great to know that you have a total EHR-EMR product all in one. As an optometrist I can examine my patients and enter the data with little effort and compile the data I need for MU and MACRA. As the CEO , I can get information about the financial health of the practice.

Awesome software with every feature a psychologist would ever need, fully integrated!

I love this software. It integrates features I previously had to have separate programs for. The billing component is comprehensive, the EDI feature speeds claims, electronic health records section that has all sorts of highly useful features (like client education resources, assessment tools for clients, even help deciding CPT and diagnosis codes), and the practice management has more reports that you'd ever need! Plus screens are customizable. Drawbacks include the heavy initial time to implement and learn the program (setting up many database tables so that future use will be easy. Free training and support are very helpful and pleasant.

The biggest problem that compulink has is that lots of their software doesnt work. I mean, it does--- but it doesnt for a psych practice. The best example of this is that the insurance verification doesnt verify mental health codes--- in software titled PsychAdvantage. Its very clearly ophthalmic software that they barely put any effort into making work for psych. Their support is hit or miss- some...

Pros

notes are easy to write. Most my documentation takes about 3 minutes per patient to write up. When features work, they sometimes work well (albeit often glitchy, often broken) Finished product (therapy note as a pdf) looks fantastic. Since we now get paid electronically, we get paid faster.

Cons

-glitchy. Often produces ridiculous errors. Not at all intuitive. To learn how to use the software, you essentially have to get used to all their glitches, so you eventually learn how to avoid them. Dont waste time asking them to fix them, either. - "Running Diagnostics" is an impractical pain, and a fool's endeavor, as it is yet to actually do anything. I would be pleased if I never ever heard that...

I am a partner in a 6 doctor optometry, multi-location practice. We spent a great deal of time researching other vendors prior to deciding on Compulink. I feel Compulink is always striving to improve the software and does not stay complacent -which is key in the ever changing health care arena. The ability to customize the software to your specific needs is Compulink's greatest asset, and the one key component that lead to us selecting this vendor. The help manual has been redone and is extremely user friendly and intuitive. I don't consider myself very computer/IT savvy, but with a reasonable amount of time invested you can be ready to go to customize/fine tune the software to meet your individual needs.

If we run into an issue, I have a specific person I can contact who knows my office and its needs. My person gets back to me the same day, usually within a few hours. We have implemented the SMS messaging from reminders to referrals to billing and more. The patient response has increased tremendously and we are able to customize the Luma programs to our specific needs.

Pros

I love the forward thinking and quick release of new features that actually work as they as should. Luma looks at the healthcare industry, the populations served and finds solutions to improve the quality of service to provide a better patient experience. Their support staff are very knowledgeable and are able to take care of any issues that might occur.

Cons

I haven't found anything that I don't like and that is something I can rarely if ever say about any company and its programs.

Completely positive and well received by all staff that use it. I know I sound like a commercial for Luma but not a day goes by without at least one Luma mention in conversation. This is a no brainer and one I wish other practices embrace. We are all busy but at the end of the day, I have a fiduciary responsibility to my board to identify and implement the best technology to help keep the organization successful.

Pros

It is difficult to say what I like most because there are numerous highlights that I would love to give credit. First, the ROI is solid. I have more than made back the cost of the program in filled slots. I have also had great success in converting inbound referrals to scheduled appointments. My online reputation management is more robust. The reporting details provided by Luma are above my expectation and one of the most valuable tools I rely on each month. Luma continues to add new features all the time. I am truly blown away by all this solution offers that I couldn't imagine why any practice deciding not to jump on board.

Nothing. Amazing staff, product, solutions. Can't say enough great things about Luma Health.

Pros

Luma is designed and built by a sophisticated technology team. Compared to some of the other products in the patient communication space, the team really understands user experience and business operations. It is easy to use, modern, and always improving. Every time I make a feature request to the Luma team, they either add it to the roadmap or have already built it (seriously, this has happened three times now). Working with Luma feels like I have a larger team to work with, not a third party healthcare technology vendor. Plus, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] on the Customer Service team is INCREDIBLE. The most responsive partner I've worked with.

Cons

I wish there was a bit more customization on the look and feel of certain interfaces. And a stand alone email marketing tool.
