Pros

I liked the ability to create my own layouts and favorite encouters to be more efficient. Also like the feature where I can just duplicate previous notes and diagnosis.
I felt I received great personal attention from helpful trainers. Having an implementation coordinator is helpful to keep me on track during the entire process.
I believe it to be as good as any competitor for a fraction of the cost. It is generally pretty self explanatory and user friendly.

Pros

Love the calendar feature where it syncs with my Google calendar. Love the reminders for client appointments and how they can manage their own appointments.
I like the fact that we no longer have to have paper files, ease of use overall and some of the features like appointment reminders, the ability to create and add your own documents.
This software is richly featured. I've appreciated the ability to create very sophisticated custom online intake forms, and and the autopay enrollment for automated batch credit card billings.

Cons

It is even more frustrating when there is no solution to an error and you have to wait for a fix and put up with the errors until the fix comes out.
The SQL search function is difficult to use. Sometimes we have had troubles with the stability of the software - sometimes it crashes and you have to restart it.
The billing program has to be checked and often rebilled for missing claims. The drop down lists are not optometry specific and can be very tedious to find the right listing.

Cons

I have struggled most with billing—getting cards to not charge for missed appointments. Reminders have occasionally caught me off guard—either they went out too many times or not enough.
This annoyed me because my time is very valuable and I specifically set aside the time for my training and no one bothered to alert me that it had been canceled.
My main complaint is that I have had trouble getting someone on the phone when I have an issue. They do tend to respond by email quickly but sometimes I would prefer a phone conversation.

Getting rid of paper is paramount. On-line paperless patient enrollment is paramount. Buy I had no idea that the HIPPA compliant digital and video communication apps would be possible. This is more than I was looking for and VERY helpful.

Pros

Functionality. This site is so full of apps that it will things for me that I didn't even know that I needed (but do).

Cons

Nothing yet. The developers must be mental healthcare professionals because they seem to have thought of things that I did not imagine.

Easy to Use Billing and Booking Software

Overall this is great and easy to use software for anyone with a small/medium size mental healthcare practice.

Pros

This was very easy to get setup and integrate with our existing website platform and has simplified the process of booking and billing for my client.

Cons

This is very industry specific so I wouldn't recommend it for all my clients due to some limitations with types of appointments.

Pros

The software is HIPAA compliant which is the most important part of a software in healthcare. The patient portal is easy to use and you can easily communicate with patients directly.

Cons

The price, it isn't exactly cheap. There are lots of other softwares out there that offer the same or more for a lesser price.

I'm just getting started but I appreciate the HIPAA compliant messaging. This eliminatesy need to pay additional money to encrypt my emails since I'm a mew business and don't have much capital to spend!

Pros

The ability to customize my note templates and forms, and that the homepage opens to my calendar.

Cons

There is no integrated fax system for me to be able to send/receive documents in a HIPAA compliant way with insurance companies or other healthcare providers. I would love to see that included since some competitors have figured that out.

My clients often rave about how easy and accessible Simple Practice is, they can access all documents, view upcoming appointments, and communicate with their provider through their Portal (Client Portal). I strongly recommend Simple Practice to all my former colleagues and other healthcare professionals in the field, who can benefit from this low-cost efficient software!

Pros

Simple Practice is an easy-to-use, hassle free software used by many healthcare professionals, like myself. This system makes virtual care effortless and possible, taking out the stress from scheduling appointments, sending appointment reminders, uploading progress reports/client documents, and billing as they are all just a few clicks away.

Cons

We have no complains about this software, it is therapy reinvented. I would also like to mention that customer support is extremely helpful and always responds to emails/questions in a timely manner.

I have a great experience with simple practice and I tried out a few different programs and simple practice was user friendly and met my business needs. Happy I was able to try it before committing to paying for it.

Pros

It's simple and user friendly. The customer support is phenomenal. They respond to your question and needs immediately and offer great solutions.

Cons

The billing the feature is not available with the basic plan. It would be nice for small solo practices to be able to use the billing feature without upgrading

Great Software

-My experience so far has been wonderful. I love how easy it is and how easy it makes things for the client. As a consumer I have had to fill out my own healthcare paperwork and often times as you fill it out the formatting gets convoluted, which can be very aggravating. I love that that doesn't happen with SimplePractice.

Pros

-Ease of use -Ability to create my own intake documents -Intake documents look shorter and more manageable in SimplePractice (because of drop downs, multiple choice, etc...) than in Word or PDF format -How easy the software makes it for the client to fill out paperwork -How easy it is to include the documents you need and exclude the ones you don't need based on the client (you just check boxes) -How easy it is to safely communicate with and send clients documents -Paperless!

Cons

-When creating my own documents, I wish there was a way I could just repeat a set of demographic questions. Like if I ask for demographic info about one parent, I wish I could just repeat all those questions for the next parent without having to input them again. -I would also like to be able to not just delete questions (which you can) but add questions into the middle of a form instead of only at the end and/or move questions around after they have been completed.

Solid platform with much development still needed

Pros

I like how everything is integrated in one place, streamlining my work. It's pretty user friendly and intuitive to use. I particularly like being able to customize forms and upload pictures of insurance cards and IDs straight from my phone to a client's file. The chat feature for support is helpful to get questions answered quickly.

Cons

The software is still very much in development. There are major gaps in the functionality at this point. I frequently have questions about how to do something that I need to do for my practice, and the answer is usually that it is not possible yet. I also cannot get an answer about when those functions will be available. Having projected timelines for upgrades would be helpful. It would also be helpful if we could more easily speak with a support rep, rather than only using chat or email. And I often find that the support reps, who are very polite and helpful, do not have enough knowledge of mental healthcare (e.g. charting requirements, consents, diagnostic modifiers, etc.) to be able to help effectively.
