Pros
I have had the pleasure of working with AWARDS since 2009 and any time an agency had to undergo the process of selection of an EHR, AWARDS was what was selected. It's the best bang for your buck.
Everything we need to provide services is easily in one place. We have successfully used Awards in various applications and it has been successful with each.
There are customizations that you can create for your own purposes. The team is easy to speak with and I appreciate that they really have a focus on quality.
Cons
No hard financial close. Software problem tickets resolutions are not recorded/documented with enough detail in the notes for future reference.
Documentation mistakes are inevitable. Need to know if there are ways for corporate to fix user errors.
Although the product works extremely well for an OP setting. Our Detox and IP Units are struggling a bit due to the heavy medical comportment they require.
Cons
The inability to have interoperability with the NJ Depart of Human Services Department of Developmental Disabilities, and more specifically with the iRecord system.
All items related, no need to enter the same information twice for a client. Billing integration saves you time and money while reducing errors and increasing revenue.
Having to constantly use backdating is a bit annoying but that may be part of our individual account, I'm not sure as I'm not an administrator for it.
