Sometimes it is confusing when trouble shooting client balances. Not getting alerts when someone requests apt through the client portal.

Nobody loves doing notes but literally every day when I use this program I find myself thinking how glad I am I switched. Counsol has dramatically improved my work life.

Pros

1. Confirmation email and text sent to patient at time of scheduling. Reminders are also an option. I wanted the confirmation email and SimplePractice would not provide one. 2. Counsol integrates Square. 3. Prompt, personal service from your own Personal Account Manager by phone or email. 4. Counsol prevents accidental double-booking. If you try to double book you need to check an override box. 5....

Cons

It’s not as pretty as my prior programs (SimplePractice and Theranest) But you do get to customize colors and fonts to coordinate with your website, and patients see your name rather than the software’s branding.

Excellent Customer Service and Great Price

Pros

Before I finally decided on Counsol, I tried two other leading software companies, Therapynotes and Theranest. Although some features on other software may be slightly better, OVERALL, I felt Counsol fit my needs and my budget. As a private practitioner looking to minimize costs, Counsol is affordable and provides excellent customer service. Whenever I have a question, I contact them via either calling or emailing, and I get a prompt response. The appointment notification and the insurance billing have saved me so much time. I had an issue with Theranest and they could not resolve it (customer balances were not accurate) and after a couple of weeks, that issue alone turned me off to that software. Therapynotes is very pricey for my needs.

Cons

Interface seems to require extra clicking to get to where you want to go and not as intuitive as other software. But they seem to continue to upgrade and make modifications frequently.

Affordable and Excellent Customer Service

Pros

I have been using Counsol for over a year now after trying out 2 other EHRs, Therapynotes and Theranest. The features of emailing or texting my clients of their appointments and the insurance billing functions are helpful for running my practice more efficiently. The customer service is top notched and they are quick to respond to any questions that I have. They seem to be also upgrading the software to add or modify features. My clients have told me how much they appreciate completing the paperwork before hand also.

Cons

Interface could be better and to use their insurance billing, I had to also pay a monthly fee to OfficeAlly.
