Pros

Note forwarding is a very good feature and and medication auto fill save time. Also like that I can save templates on various diagnosis.
The ease of training, and the xtra trading videos were a big help. I liked the price of the software.
I am the clinical leader and co-owner of a privately held medium sized home health care company. We have been using Kinnser for two years and are very happy.

Pros

Navigation is super easy as you move around the site. The ability to integrate home care and care management in one system is so valuable.
We have been using Clear Care On line for about 4 years now. We love the ease of use and benefits.
Great customer service that is there all the time and helps quickly resolve issues. Top of the line technology.

Cons

Every time there is an update thing go missing from the system. Clinicians are constantly losing their information and so many bugs and glitches.
Support is terrible and rarely responds, and when they do it's normally a condescending conversation. I've used Kinnser for over 8 years and will look for another solution which is sad.
It makes me very depressed and makes productivity very difficult. I note that very few of the reviewers on this website are clinicians in the field.

Cons

Reporting for marekting is terrible - this is NO CRM, it is a glorified scheduling program.
Costumer service is very bad , you have to send emails in order to communicate with them.
Very little in the vein of negativity to say about this software.

WellSky far surpasses the previous software we used a few months ago.

Pros

WellSky for Hospice has simplified managing my patient load and insuring that all of my workload is organized. Charting is simple and easy on this software.

Cons

The Messaging feature does not allow you to scroll through messages while viewing a message. If you receive several messages, you have to constantly back out and view each individual message.

Steep decline in services and support once WellSky entered.

No benefit of being with a huge corporation like WellSky.

Pros

Easy to use schedule, billing and notes. Flow of the notes are well planned.

Cons

Once WellSky took over Kinnser the quality of support and care for their clients ended. Kinnser was great and did not think of you as a number. WellSky cares more about increasing costs and complicating the Home Health Software. Support is terrible and rarely responds, and when they do it's normally a condescending conversation. I've used Kinnser for over 8 years and will look for another solution which is sad.

We've literally received no help during our implementation! None.

Pros

The ease of scheduling. However we can't get paid for our shifts because no one at WellSky is willing to assist.

Cons

Once you sign the contract no one will respond to help you! We setup our account for integration with EVV and our visits are not being sent correctly to Tellus. We've watched numerous videos, webinars, etc, emailed our Implementation Consultant, [sensitive content hidden] 3 times between April 24th & May 6th with no response. We've tried calling customer support and they just continue to email links that are not correcting the problem. We also emailed our regional account representative [sensitive content hidden] with no response. It is literally like once they get your signature for the contract you are on your own!

In brief, these issues remain: -No auto-save feature ("We're working on one, I've been told." That was 2 years ago.) I don't really lose much anymore due to the lack of an auto-save feature because I have given up with Point of Service documentation and do about 90% of my note at home. Customer Support is friendly. The software is fairly intuitive and takes very little time to learn. I am a Home Health Physical Therapist using Kinnser/Wellsky Software since Fall of 2017.

Cons

Wow! I have been using this software since fall of 2017. I last wrote a review in February 2018. Of significance, NONE of the issues I had in February 2018 have been addressed. Please see that review so I don't have to repeat the details. Further, the changes they have made (very few from the perspective of an in-the-field-clinician) have made the EMR worse, not better. I AM THINKING OF QUITTING MY JOB OVER THIS SOFTWARE! It makes me very depressed and makes productivity very difficult. I note that very few of the reviewers on this website are clinicians in the field. In my limited experience, most don't like it.

Pros

Vendor was very helpful. However I feel that a representative should come out and do a one course on the software. We have a sister facility and was told we could use this software at that location for billing as well. The invoice total is not matching up correctly with client hours. This one of the reason we chose to go with Kinser instead of Clear care.

Cons

Would really like some one on one training for our Home Care because we have 2 locations.

Pros

When I found out that a new client was using Kinser, or what they called Wellsky, I was skeptical because I had never heard of it before. When I was finally given clearance to use the software, I found it to be chock full of features and resources that even some competitors were slow to adopt. It can be difficult to use at times because of numerous technical bugs and some very avoidable issues with the OASIS resource, but it is very useful if you do not have another software for your medical company.

I did some research and was confident that I would be able to use The software with relative ease, especially after reviewing the so-called manual, which was really just a few pages of “How-To” for computer illiterates. I was wrong. It took WAY too long to understand this program before I realized that I wasn’t losing my mind, but that the program itself was terribly plagued with bugs and technical...

Will the salesman is a great guy. I really don't like much about the software honestly. I thought it would be better for those of us billing managed care and private pay but not so much.

Cons

Billing 2 is a nightmare. Every time there is an update thing go missing from the system. Clinicians are constantly losing their information and so many bugs and glitches. Customer support always tries to blame us for the issues as their software would never do this, well guess what, it did and it does.

It's a good system, but could be better!

It is just okay and I hope the software becomes the best in the future. In my opinion, the software could use a lot more tools and updates for better patient care.

Pros

I like that I can do my job online and have options for keeping up with my work duties.

Cons

It is not a user-friendly software and the site does crash at least 1-2 a months for periods of whole days. If many items/tasks could auth-populate themselves, it would save clinicians and administrators many hours.

I have been using Kinnser for two years and I can't imagine a system that is easier to use or a company that is as responsive to their clients as Kinnser. This is my first experience with an Electronic Medical Record system... or any medical record system because I don't have a health care background. If I can learn this system as quickly as I did, any one can! I cannot say enough good things about Kinnser's staff. From the CEO and down the line each and every person is kind, friendly, skilled and responsive. Every call or email question, inquiry, or suggestion is acknowledged and responded to within at least 24 hours. I would highly recommend this product and this company to everyone.

Started off great, it quickly turned to crap. I am now looking at an alternative as they could care less about the companies they serve.

Pros

Used to be great, not much good to say now.

Cons

Wellsky bought them out did away with any real support. now you submit a ticket and it is closed without any sollutions. You will be lied to about features by sales. I am still waiting for a promised administrator app after a year when promised after 2-3 months.

I have been a user for almost 4 years. After researching other software's available my choice was definitely Clear Care. I can honestly say I have not been disappointed. I don't know how our company could have managed everything without it. Clear Care continues to add new features and expand. If you are looking for a way to manage your home care organization nothing out there trumps Clear Care.

ClearCare is great homecare platform, reports are clear, scheduling functionality is a big time saver. It is simple, easy to use and navigate through. My office recommends it.

Pros

Scheduling, payroll and home assessments forms are great.

Cons

they do have some down time due to technical issues that are still being fixed, but normally doesn't take too long, just may mean that you have to manually clock a caregiver in/out during that time period

Clear Care has been a life saver for our company. It is user friendly and it documents everything you do. You are able to customize it based on the needs of your company. It is constantly updating and keeping up with changes in, in home health. Some of the examples, are UB-04 forms, help you monitor anyone over 40 hours, mileage and travel time. I love the system and you will see the benefits of using clear care for your company needs.

Just bad. I've never once called and connected with a live person. You have to leave a message and then they call you back. Usually that same day.

Pros

It is designed for home care. Other than that not much good to say.

Cons

I can't even begin to list them. but in order of importance to me: 1. communication with caregivers and clients is terrible. 2. user interface is from early 2000's 3. inconsistent branding. it's been many years, how about you move on from the clearcare brand? 4. Home Instead is a pretty large client. Maybe you could put our logo on the family room portal and invoice emails? Ugh. this list goes on.

Good core concept, execution is a little lacking

Overall, this is decent software, but I have to believe someone else is executing it better than ClearCare. They seem to be more focused on acquiring more business than keeping the business they already have happy and supported.

Pros

It is nice to have our system online. It's much easier to work from home and after hours, which is important in home care as we service clients 24/7. With the telephony system, we can verify that our caregivers showed up for each shift.

Cons

While I appreciate enhancements, lately the changes they have made have only complicated our processes. When you report an issue with what should be basic functionality, the only way to get a legitimate response from tech support is to escalate through our corporate office. I can't tell you how many canned responses I have received without any resolution for months.

We have some unique requirements as a public-funded provider, particularly with our caregiver training requirements. ClearCare has been taking note of them, however, and I expect that after another 3-4 months, we'll have solutions. They have an excellent customer service team.

Really like Clear Care

We were recently bought out by a corporation company. We convince them to change over to Clear Care as their scheduling tool for all their health care agencies in their company. It is easy to use and understand.

Pros

I like the client and caregiver side details that are available the caregiver portal which has given our staffing department a lot of relief.

Cons

It is impossible to build in separate information for two clients who live in the same home. We are unable to have our caregivers electronically document on the care provided with each individual and must use paper notes.

Cost savings in a variety of ways. Scheduling efficiency is the number one cost savings.

Pros

The intuitiveness of the user interface is wonderful. Navigation is super easy as you move around the site. The ability to integrate home care and care management in one system is so valuable.

Cons

It would be nice if the custom report function was able to provide reports in a format other than Excel.

Pros

They have a solid understanding of the workflow needs of the home care space. The platform continues to evolve and improve. I also appreciate that they continue to provide leadership in the space.

Cons

I'd prefer a different methodology to prioritize feature enhancement requests. Today, they rely on "likes" to drive prioritization and visibility. It results in duplication and also does not distinguish someone who writes the check for the services from an end user. I would like to see a "like" from a site administrator be equivalent to 10 "likes," so that it is clear that an owner has assessed and determined financial impact, and as a result, the request is given higher priority than something that comes from an end user.

I love that ClearCare is so user-friendly! It also is very functional and customizable to your needs. It covers just about every aspect of the Home Health Care Field we need. There isn't much I don't like about this product. However, the caregiver login via phone or PC could include the ability to view their payroll breakdown.

Pros

Before working in home care, I worked in the medical field using various electronic medical record systems. From working with those systems to ClearCare, the difference is night and day. ClearCare is easily customizable, and the fact that the scheduling, billing, payroll, client, and caregiver records are all in one place keeps everything running very smoothly.

I really don't have anything negative to say about ClearCare.

It Doesn't Get Any Better Than ClearCare

Pros

It has been a pleasure working with ClearCare over the last two years. I have two home care businesses using ClearCare. They have amazing customer service and the product is easy to work with yet has deep capabilities that make work smarter and easier. They have been very responsive to my requests and have even implemented a few of my suggestions. I would definitely recommend it!

Cons

The two year contract is a little daunting. I wish they had a phone app (they did upgrade their site to be more mobile friendly, but an app would still be nice).
