Ive been in the Travel business the last 20 years and since the last 10 years, I have opened up an apartment house. But having found booking sync , it really has been great. I am young and fairly fluent with Computers and checked and tested numerous booking software ( and used Kigo for over 2years). With booking sync they are fairly priced (fee is fixed, not like others charging per room per night) The service is great , as the chat function is within your system which is handy and its partially 24hr. I had a lot of technical issues due to migrating my bookings, which the team resolved easily and now offer a service to make this easier for new customers. (they are also thinking ahead)The beauty about the system is its automated from payments to notifications, to synchronising with channels. It really has given me more time to concentrate with my second job. When I get a booking, I know its safely imported and payment is taken automatically and notifications have been issued. There website builder is great(clean and modern !) and it cost very little per month) The other thing I like about the system is they have an app store , which means there is always something new in the pipline ! Along with a you tube channel and froms, I couldn't ask for more. Thanks Maud,Delia, Aline and all the team.

BookingSync ...... "The Best Find of 2016"

Whilst looking to update our website in early 2016, we stumbled upon BookingSync. At that point, naively, we were only looking for a flexible website format. However BookingSync were able to offer the complete website, booking, invoicing, customer database and channel managers all in one package. After a successful trial, we adopted BookingSync immediately, and have never looked back. The team at BookingSync customised our website at no additional charge. Since adopting BookingSyc, more than 30% of our bookings now come directly through our website. Something we were hoping for, but never really expecting, when up against the big Corporate giants. The Customer Service is faultless & impeccable, and they are superbly supported by the technical team. We now have 3 Channel Manager Agreements now in place, and they are all managed by BookingSync. We cannot believe our growth since teaming up with BookingSync, and it really was our greatest find of 2016. Thank you.

The synchronisation of availability and pricing of your properties/listings between platforms such as Airbnb and Booking.com

Pros
Once everything is configured, it works fine. However, to get you listings (properties) synchronised with Airbnb, Booking.com and others, it takes quite a bit of effort.

Cons
Their support is very slow to respond and it takes sometimes days! to resolve issues. The system is complex and it takes a lot of time to communicate with the support team (if they respond) to resolve issues. No mobile or responsive app as well. Overpriced.

Regarding the negative aspect that you raise the most, namely our support and documentation, this is something we've identified through our customer satisfaction surveys and that's why we've come this early July to change our organization and tool, to enhance this aspect of our user experience. We offer now a brand new user manual and support tool.

Regarding the sync setup with channels, maybe you started to use BookingSync some years ago, since 1 year, each BookingSync account is fully configured by our onboarding experts team. As official partner of Airbnb, Booking, HomeAway, TripAdvisor, Misterb&b and Canadastays, we work hard to improve the onboard process with them.

These official partnerships also allow us to provide strong and deep sync of content with them.

Maybe we will have the opportunity one day to allow you to have a brand new opinion of our software.

Pros

I use BookingSync for several years and my satisfaction is growing with each new functionality proposed. First I was delighted with my schedule online : we could be multiple to follow different locations without having contact between us. What time saver! Today all my booking process with : price calculation, contract auto send, management of my price plan with a price table containing all my properties, management of customer files, collects reviews, management and complementary services taxes, setting up special offers, report accounting data, delegation of access for owners and cleaning staff... Our website is completely synchronized. BookingSync is very complete and always evolving! For each new, small message informs me personally and offer me support when necessary. Can't wait booking online planed to be open for the end of this summer! BookingSync is an indispensable and solid support: thank you !!

Pros
The syncranization with the Online travel agencies, it s easy to read and fill the booking part, easy to share and implement by myself. Go support so far, Keep going !

Cons
There is no mobile application and you have to pay to get (ninja rental) it, the calendar doesnt appear well on other devices and of course a lower price would be better :)

Too many bugs, post 2017 no feedback from large users was considered, every bug was expensive, support was (sorry) horrible.

Pros
Back in 2015 I could get in touch with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] about all the bugs, work them out, find solutions. The website feature was great, then went down hill. Well, everything went down hill has they didn't scale properly.

Cons
This product just doesn't scale to hundreds of properties, today we use Cloudbeds, not perfect, but very happy.

I'm using BookingSync 5 years already and it keeps exceeding my expectations and getting better. I started using it as it was a great tool for my business as I could have all the bookings and clients information together while I could synchronise my calendar automatically with portals. Within the time I'm using it a lot has been improved that save me so much time and make my business working better. Now I can manage payments, contracts, pricing, keep statistics and more. They have great customer support always ready to assist in any issue and they keep improving their product. I cannot imagine working without BookingSync. It's a great tool in a very good price. Keep up the good work guys!

After long benchmark and some tests we choosed bookingsync tot manage our rentals. Solution is great and easy to use. It helped us to reach 30% more clients. It is a great software we use daily.

Cons
It can sometimes get a little slow, and few features could be optimized.

Bookingsync is trying to grow becoming a full feature PMS and become a Channel Manager too. Every potential customer probably is looking for a good, not expensive one step solution. Vacation Rental business is booming so probably their business is booming too. From all these facts probably starts the problem. I started to be an Host on Airbnb 6 years ago and at that time I was romantic … My customer should appreciate my rentals because so ….. nice and different !!!! Also if not really ,,,, Now we have procedures giving a service level as 5 stars hotels and we invest a lot of money every year to improve… I hope Bookingsync will grow enough to improve their procedures. Actually they are not big enough for what they want to be and don’t have a good customer service. Is difficult to have a good customer service if you don’t have well trained/skilled people or the good one is busy …. but remember!!!! if after one month your ticket is not solved don’t try to make pressure. Go to be against your interest because they are touchy. I usually suppose that if I’m paying i'm the customer and someone is the service (is usually named customer service) and a customer have some rights too …. but is not a general rule…..

Working with Bookingsync I discovered that if something is going wrong you easily loose more money than what you pay for them!!! I had wrong prices for bookings - has been so difficult to complete a cancellation procedure to have the calendar free again - I had rentals disappeared on Airbnb (offline) without a warning from anyone (I discovered by myself) because a “general error from Airbnb” (Airbnb has been for so long my main income so to be offline in April in Airbnb means to have a true problem). And anyone will ever recognize his mistake!!!! Or hurry up if something is really urgent !!!! Also for small things takes time. At the beginning I was not able to see the lateral menu in the browser (both Chrome and Safari) in portrait view on my iPad. Has taken more than one month to arrange !! I liked so much HomeAway because they are professionals: after the connection someone has TESTED everything with me: calendar - prices - payments - procedures. In Bookingsync they suppose to be perfect and anyone will ever test anything before to go on production !!! I had the feeling to be alone. And testing myself I found so many bugs !!! Connecting Booking.com I had the "extra guest fee” set wrong for 2 months. So I sold a rental for half the right price many times. I discovered the problem by myself !!! The notification system of Bookingsync is a good idea but you don’t really control what’s happening. You don’t know if the customer receive the message in his mail or inside the communication system of the channel and how he visualize the message. So if you have an hyperlink in html version the message can be viewed as plain text !!! and the hyperlink not working. I’m living everyday running behind my customer trying to get always 5 stars reviews to be a SuperHost on Airbnb. Do you want to know the end of my story??!! I made a bad review on Capterra where at the beginning I found Bookingsync and after 2 days they asked me to close my account in 4 days.

About your exchanges with our customer support, I see many replies, actions and help coming from our team on your different requests.

About our Notifications App, delivery status are available in the App and regarding the delivery method it depends on each channel.

As a conclusion, I must say that I'm not fully agree with your vision of BookingSync, our strategy and the way of progress. you describe.

But we learned a lot having you as a customer, since your experience we worked a lot on our customer support and we now share with more transparency our strategy and roadmap.

Pros
I think the customer service is great, and anytime I've had a problem the team has ben quick and friendly to help out.

Cons
For me the cost is a bit too high, though for other users with more properties, this probably isn;t an issue.

Owner of about fifty mas, chalets and villas in Provence, in the Alps and in Greece. The distribution on portals has become a must for optimizing your occupancy rate. Online booking and instant booking profoundly revolutionized the vacation rental business BookingSync allows synchronization with portals. With the main ones such as Airbnb, Tripadvisor, Roomorama, Abritel, Booking and more than 20 others.This list increases regulary. With some portals , the synchronization concerns the whole property: reservation of course, prices with the possibility of applying detailed and precise rules and also pictures, special offers, descriptions, etc. With other portals, the synchronization is more limited but this allows reservations by request with prior acceptance. appalling staff knowledge and set up process

We have had an absolute nightmare. The "workshops" to set us up were run by somebody who doesn't understand the basics of their own product. She went live with our properties and the nightmare began. All prices wrong (99 dollars on new years eve when should have been 399) and every other setting wrong. Guests started booking our properties in the dozens and we had to disconnect as fast as we could. Even then the damage was done, because they had synced without checking our settings, they were permanently overwritten and we had to rebuild all of the properties. We also had to cancel 20 reservations in a panic. They have given us another agent now who still doesn't understand the basic settings. I am having to write a spreadsheet for them to explain which settings are controlled by the channels themselves and which are controlled by bookinsync. The documentation and staff knowledge are that bad, you literally have to work it out yourself.

the documentation and help is close the worst I have seen in 20 years of business. the translation of french into english hasn't been checked and their staff do not understand the basics of this software

We are another one of the ex-Kigo companies that got abruptly put out of work due to platform failure last year. In hindsight it was a blessing. In our search to find another platform I came here to Capterra and looked through all the reviews, studied each one, did a trial version of several and eventually settled on Bookingsync. We've never looked back. The first thing about Bookingsync that struck me was the ease of use and intuitive nature of the dashboard. Setting up a booking platform from scratch is a daunting prospect but I found myself very easily navigating around and getting setup with the minimum of fuss. When I did need help, there a chat box right inside the dashboard with staff ready to answer questions immediately. The customer care is awesome! We have 175+ properties across several cities and we like to push the boundaries of what's possible with technology so I had a lot of questions. Even though I'm a whole time zone away (I'm in South America, they are based out of Europe) I get excellent, timely responses to all my questions. When things get technically challenging, like our recent site migration, the CEO of the company personally handled my case and sat through the process with me over Skype. Support doesn't get much better than that! One of the things I like the most about the product is the way that is gives your the basic tools for running any sized business, then gives you the option to add applications as you need them. You can choose to add a website, channel management, revenue management, an owner portal and many other options, but only if your business needs to use them, otherwise it stays as a lean, simple to use product for a single home or a large property management company like ourselves. I especially like the Zapier integration that allows us to push booking data into Salesforce and seamlessly work with third parties. I really can't recommend them highly enough, and the best thing is they are still a young company that are developing more tools and integrations all the time. It's also cheaper than what we were paying for Kigo, for a much better product in my opinion.

25 Days of Nightmares and Counting - Vacancy Rate Skyrocket to 60% and still increasing

In conclusion, if you are ready for a real challenge specially if you manage several properties, I only manage 16 and it has been a challenge for me, I hope at the end I can come back here and update my review to say it was worth it but so far I unfortunately can't say that, I just now was with Airbnb on the phone for an hour because guests are trying to book my properties but they are getting an error saying that the property is unavailable. I looked at my booking.com account rates to make sure it was good since no bookings are coming thru and to my surprise they are showing very old and really high rates, so my rates are not updating on booking.com either. I am spechless right now, specially because my setup was "COMPLETED" around Dec 1st as previously mentioned, I opened a ticket, attached the appropriate print screens, I requested to speack with the head of the company, and since I know they will take a few days to respond and honestly at this point with my vacancy rate increasing like never before I decided to document my experience on here to alert others who are planning to sign up to know what to expect and to also get the attention from the executives of BookingSync and hopefully ALL this issues can finally be resolved, and someone needs to be held accountable for all the revenue I have lost this month due to all these errors preventing me from getting bookings. Thank you

-Friendly staff like -Several nice apps to extend functionality -Connection available to main channels -Their new inbox is a great feature (Only avl for airbnb and HomeAway) -Easy to connect with zapier to extract your data and connect other tools.

Cons
-Very expensive onboarding, unorganized and unfinished, declared as completed around Dec 1st, you are told that BookingSync will handle everything for you, BUT... -2 Weeks later and my website was still not working, unable to take reservations or payments. -Got double booked twice as the connection with HomeAway is still not completed 25d later by HomeAway and icals were not linked by BookingSync team. -The synch connection with Airbnb takes hours to update a photo or a simple description update. -Stripe account was not working almost 2-3 weeks later -Small requests to update logos on the page and the emails not completed almost 2-3 weeks later -Rates not updating correctly on Airbnb from their internal PriceLabs and Wheelhouse apps. -Started using their rates table and after many days of playing with it I was able to get it to work. -Some apps were showing errors 3 weeks later like their Invoice app, so I was unable to use it. -Booking.com account still today with incorrect very old high rates. -Bookings appear and disappear from my calendar without explanation, without names or data. -Most support members takes around 2-3 days to get back to you about any ticket usually with more questions about the issue instead of providing us with a solution or some kind of insight, making the situation even more challenging. I must have almost 10 tickets opened already, I have used other PMS in the past and never had to open so many tickets.
